Updated review!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! = Diamond Bride (Plymouth, MN) 1) Duped into paying extra I had to pay $800 extra because they did not inform me that my dress could be fitted to my 4'10" height from the factory. So, their store seamstress charged me more to get the train shorten. I was told that if I didn't pay the extra $800 then I can get some of my money refunded and take my business elsewhere. RUDE! 2) Bad fitting I decided to pay the extra $800 b/c at this point the seamstress already done some work on my dress and when I came back to try on the dress...THE TRAIN WAS TOO SHORT!!! The train was NOT as the seamstress and I discussed. The store owner would not add inches to my train unless I pay again (for a mistake that was never my fault) and never offered any other options, such as refund or discount. I was never offered any parts of my dresses back that was taken off either. Store manager, MIKAYLA, kept telling me and my MOH how the train "looked fine and you'll be fine"when we initially explain to her it was shorter than discussed At my last fitting...The dress didn't fit!!! It needed to be tucked in on the sides of the train and laced added to the back to hold its form on the bust. The 3 sq. in. lace took 2 months to come in. 3) Harassment The STORE OWNER, COLBY, called and YELLED at me after I informed his store manager about the continuous errors to my dress. A call I never asked for and did it expect! He was constantly interrupting me and yelling me about how I should've been more well informed about their fashion terminology, about how he thought my emails were rude, and he said "You are never happy and pick up your dress ASAP!" Mikayla also threaten me that her store owner was "worse than her" and the harassment call was put on speaker for her to listen w/o my knowledge too We were LITERALLY ARGUING over the phone. I had to fight for my last fitting with them explaining that they will have to finished all the services that I already paid $800 for before I picked up my dress. He agreed and said he will personally handle all fittings and corrections. Which was not the case. 4) Lack of communication They took forever to respond to ANY of my emails or calls. They DO NOT update me on the progress of my dress unless I email AND call them several times Colby did not inform me that he gave the last corrections to the seamstress to fix. I didn't find out until I received an email updating me that my dress corrections were on paused due to the seamstress getting covid19. Of course, to get some kind of reassurance that my wedding dress was not exposed to COVID19; I asked for their COVID19 policy and precautions I got nothing, but the run around that the seamstress was tested negative before coming back to work. No reassurance of my safety (or theirs) regarding picking-up my dress. After several attempts of requesting that the seamstress not being present at my pick-up appointment, they FINALLY agreed. Is made of honor for my friends wedding we stopped here to look for wedding dresses and bridesmaids dress and we ended up getting both there. James was great and helped us out and did a great job helping our party get what we needed. I showed my friend the deal that they have for money off brides dresses. This was my second stop for dresses but it was my first boutique. I loved the styles, the dresses and space. They were VERY accommodating about how many gals I brought, and the many, many possible alterations. My two star review is based on the fact that the sales lady Mikayla told me a few things that felt like sales tactics, and the interaction felt inauthentic (focused on $$$), and simply trying to get a sale. I get it, commissions... but don't tell a customer you believe in being honest and then skirt around a price when asked outright. Also, be straight about prices and price ranges if a customer says it is important. Lastly, she asked where else I was going, only to tell me that many of the bridal shops work together and that often they "won't have many different options" for what I'm looking for (trying to get me to buy the dress for 200$ off and not visit other shops???). I had a wonderful experience choosing my dress and I do love it! I purchased a sample dress off the rack so I did not have one ordered and I did not purchase my bridesmaid dresses here, so I can not review those services. I would not however recommend using their alterations person. She is not very reliable and to me her service was not high quality. First, she changed the days she worked at the shop and did not inform me that the appointment had been changed for my first fitting. My understanding now is that she handles all her appointments not the store. I had to call the store to confirm only to find out it had been moved. I totally understand a minor scheduling issue. When I returned for my second fitting, she did not even have my dress with her, she had totally forgotten about my appointment. When I finally got to try on my dress, it fit well and she had done a nice job taking it in, but I noticed that the hem on the bottom had come loose. I asked her about it, and she said it would cost more to have that fixed and asked if I knew anyone that could sew! To me this was where she lost me. I had already paid a great deal to have it altered the first time and I know that fixing the hem would not take that long. As I said she did a nice job with the alterations, but just be aware that you may not get the same level of service with her. read more

I had been to 10 other bridal shops before going to Ivory Bridal. I was having a hard time finding exactly what I was looking for. James ended up helping me customize a beautiful Colby John gown. James is extremely knowledgeable and eager to make a bride's vision become reality. I could tell that he truly wanted me to be confident in my decision and wasn't there just to try to sell a dress. He is by far the most helpful and honest consultant that I have ever worked with. read more

My entire bridal party ordered their dresses here and the issues were endless. The wrong dress was ordered, the dresses came 8+ inches too long even after measuring each bridesmaid, and the dresses were extremely difficult to zip. With each issue that came I was told by the general manager that it was my fault (I must have told them the wrong dress) and given excuses rather than fixing the issue. It was awful customer service and a horrible experience all around for my wedding party. read more

This was one of the bridal shops I have been to while searching for my dress. I love that they have a designer that only sells to them so you can get a dress that most people don't have. The service was okay. I waited awhile to be helped even though I had an appointment scheduled. And while we were trying on dresses, the person that was helping me said, "You have a lot more baby weight to lose, don't you?" I had a baby 5 months ago and I was actually down to my previous baby weight. My dress size is a 6. But her comment made me feel gross in my own skin. You are suppose to make a bride feel beautiful and the center of attention. I did find my dress here and love it like crazy, but the service is something I think needs to be worked on. read more

Beautiful dresses. I ordered a dress here that I loved! It came in and didn't fit well at all and I was curious as to why? I also thought although this dress was similar to the one I tried on ....it wasn't the same?! (so I sent my future daughter in law the picture of the dress I was getting altered) she was with me when I tried on the store sample and she agreed it was NOT the same dress. The one I thought I ordered was a halter (backless) dress and all stretch lace which was unique and lovely. The dress that I tried on has buttons up the back (which is why it is too tight) as I am broad across the back and the bottom is not the stretch lace as the first dress. ( these dresses are very similar...they are like eyebrows....cousins not twins). I feel as though perhaps the vendor changed the dress (making it cheaper) or the sku # may have been improperly sent. Either way I am paying for alterations that I may not have needed on the original dress. I am too close to the date of the wedding to do much about it except buy another dress elsewhere or wear the dress that came in. It's a shame because I really, really wanted to love this place! My calls are being dodged but that's cool.....I cannot recommend this place to others unfortunately :( Customer Service by management and ownership is not a priority but I will say the seamstresses here at top notch.... read more

Tyler was hands down an AMAZING rep to work with. This was my first appointment trying on gowns even looking back, we all agreed that he was the reason that we had by far the best experience at Diamond Bridal trying on dresses. He did a fabulous job talking with me about some styles that I liked while throwing a few wildcards in the mix (all while continually checking with me to make sure I was comfortable with each option). He did a great job steering the appointment and picking up on verbal/nonverbal feedback in order to maximize our time trying on dresses - all while making sure that I felt like I was in the driver's seat. I ultimately ended up finding my dress at another boutique, but my group and I both agreed that we wished we could have bought my dress and been able to give Tyler the credit/commissions because he did so well. I wish I had started our shopping trip here. I also wish I could remember the name of the girl who assisted us with bridesmaids dresses because she was awesome! We stopped at Diamond after we had a terrible experience at another bridal shop. We were greeted, coats taken and led to an area where we could peruse the dresses at our leisure. The gal was very informational and provided us with the contact information for the alterations person and explained how it worked. Can you leave no stars? We had an awful experience here. We ordered bridesmaid dresses 4 months before the wedding and were told the dresses would be in 6 weeks before the wedding. They arrived 2 weeks before the wedding, then we had to get alternations. In order to find out that they were not in and receive shipping information we had to call the store. They never once were proactive or apologetic. It was a very frustrating experience. Three weeks before the wedding we stopped in the store to get some answers on where the dresses were, we were told by the manager "No other brides are worried about the status of their bridesmaid dresses for their next month wedding's". After we got our dresses we had to stop in the store for something from the Tux shop, which is attached, the manager and owner both ignored us and didn't even acknowledge us as a person let alone someone they had been talking to weekly for the past 6 weeks. The customer service was beyond terrible, I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. read more

I purchased a bridesmaid dress from the store. They did not actually have the dress in the store so i tried on something "similar" but the actual dress did not compare fit-wise. When the dress came in, It was not steamed and pressed. The employee working that day said it would be an extra $20 charge to steam the dress and that it would take her about 20 minutes to turn on the steamer and another 20 minutes to steam out the myriad of wrinkles. I was not given the opportunity to try on the dress in the store so when I put it on at home, I was shocked to find out that the back panel under the corset was not tacked down and the entire panel came undone. I spent my evening sewing it back up. I have purchased many bridesmaid dresses from several different stores and I have never ever been so disappointed. It's hard enough planning a wedding. It's even harder planning one out of state. And it's downright impossible for one to leave Diamond Bride with a positive experience. When I had my consultation, things seemed to be going great. A sales rep. helped me find the perfect dress. We bought it in April. My wedding was the second weekend of October. Around late July, I called Diamond Bride to see if my dress was in, so I could get started on fittings. A girl answered the phone, took my first and last names, and said it was in the store, so I scheduled a fitting for early August. I took an 8 hour bus ride from Chicago to Minneapolis. When I arrived at Diamond Bride the next day, my dress was not there. It took another 8 hours to get home----all for nothing. Wasted time, wasted energy, wasted money. Before leaving the Twin Cities, we spoke to the manager (Jana) over the phone and asked why the dress was not in. She said that we were supposed to wait for Diamond Bride to call us for a fitting. This was news to me. She also said because of customs, it usually takes 6 months for the dress to even arrive. But why then, if someone knew I was getting married in October, sell me a dress in April, knowing there was a 6-month delay and not tell me? We requested that Jana put a rush on the dress (which she did) and she kept me updated on its status until the day of its arrival. I scheduled another fitting and another trip to the Twin Cities. At all of the fittings, the seamstress did a beautiful job. After the first fitting, the sales rep. tried handing us a bill, which I pushed back, saying, "I feel as though due to being inconvenienced last time, the company should absorb the fitting fee as compensation." She kindly nodded and said she would discuss it with management. Two days later, when I was to meet with the seamstress again, Jana called me about the bill, and argued with me as to why she didn't have to compensate me. And instead of saying, "I'm sorry" when I expressed my disgust and disappointment with her, for travelling 16 hours round trip for naught, all she had to say was, "I'm sorry you feel that way." We saw the seamstress later that day and got stuck with an almost $400 fitting tab. When I picked up my dress, I gave Jana one last chance to do the right thing, but she didn't. And I knew she never would. She just continued to argue to the very end. I myself have worked retail and customer service jobs, and Rule #1 is the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS RIGHT. And I most definitely was in the right to ask for compensation for this unnecessary inconvenience! They refused to take responsibility for the consequences of their mistake. So I plead with anyone planning your wedding----do NOT take your business to Diamond Bride, unless you are looking for arguments, frustration and disappointment. If you're looking for a happy, professional experience finding the gown of your dreams, look elsewhere. read more

Nonexistent customer service! They are incapable to take proper measurements. They do not take responsibility for the measurements they take. My daughter and I went in to get measured and order our dresses from them. I was worried about getting the right dress for me because I'm curvy, so I made sure to get a bigger size for myself. They didn't seem to be worried about my daughter's size and ordered the dress. She's 15. I was under the impression that her measurements fit one size across the board. It came in. There is a 4 inch gap where the zipper won't close. I called and they said they don't pick the sizes. I asked if her measurements fit this dress and they said she is in a size between a 2 and an 8! Clearly there is a big difference. The dress we got was a size 2. Not once did they say 2-8 when we were ordering the dress. If that was the case I would have gotten a size 10. I got a size bigger for me why wouldn't I do the same for my daughter. I went in the store that night to talk to the seamstress (40 min. drive from my house with a 3 year old), was not acknowledged when I walked in or while I was talking with the seamstress. The cost was going to be $140 for all alterations ($75 for panels to be made and put in the dress to make it bigger). The dresses were over $200 to begin with. She brought the slip up to the counter and I told her I wasn't happy about this. Obviously her measurements today (she got re-measured) and her measurements taken 2 months ago would not fit a size 2. We relied on the experts (your staff...I was talking to the owner) to make sure we get the right dress. There should have been a red flag that this dress was going to be too small, something isn't right here. She would not take responsibility, no apology, nothing. Then, she wanted me to pay the $140 before I left. I said I want to see the finished product before I pay anything. She said I needed to pay first. I made a few phone calls and found someone else to do it. I went back in the store to get the dress to find out the seamstress had left with the dress. They said I could come back on Thursday or they could mail it (yeah right!). I said I wanted the dress in my hands that night. The least you could do was pay the $75 to make it bigger. Nothing....no apology, nothing. I said get me that dress now and I'm never stepping foot in this place again! Shame on you, Diamond Bride, for treating customers this way and not making it right when you are the ones taking the measurements and looking at the size charts. read more

The service started out good and I ended up liking a couple dresses and was told they could make a custom one with the different features. I ordered in November and finally got a call that it would be in in early May but then they had issues with the warehouse and it came in in July...maybe the last week of June. I expressed my concern since I hadn't tried the dress on yet but I was assured there would be enough time for alterations to make the dress perfect for me. It finally came in and was not what I expected at all. Long story short, it needed a lot of alterations. They told me that it was what I ordered and seemed to be annoyed that I was not happy about my dress (I wish I would have taken a picture because there was literally a butt flap of lace sown oddly to the puffy shirt). It's been a few weeks since my wedding but I want to say I paid an additional $500 or $600 in alterations. The seamstress was good but I still can't say I was 100% happy with my dress. Overall our experience was unpleasant. The store personnel were dismissive, preoccupied with everything but our party and just short of rude. Nothing about it felt special, their customer relations skills were awful. We arrived at our appointed time, were told our area was still being used so we would have to wait. All the while there was another fitting area open but we were told it was for another party that was coming. We finally just went and started trying dresses on and were again reminded this area was reserved for some other party that wasn't there. Finally "our" sales person was available and she was fake friendly and condescending. I am not one to typically take the time to write reviews, but I was discouraged with this company and I would hate for anyone to have a similar experience as me. I do want to start off by saying they have beautiful dresses and accessories- but to me this isn't everything. Customer service goes a long way! When I set up the appointment I gave the lady my price max. When I came in for my appointment I asked the lady helping me if she knew my price max, she said "yes". I tried on quite a few dresses and fell in love with 2. I ended up deciding one over the other. She then told me the price of the dress and it was almost double of what I had told them my max was. She had also put a belt on me which made the dress over double of what my price max was. I knew I would need alterations, we had asked how much they would be since they have inhouse alterations. I was told it wouldn't be hard and would cost only a couple hundred dollars. My dress is a very unique dress and it seemed odd to me that they acted like the alterations would be a breeze. But they are the experts, what do I know? I came in for my alterations appointment and was then quoted over $500! I let them know that quote was over double of what I was originally told by their own employees. I let them know I would think about it and get back to them if I wanted to proceed with them doing the alterations. I called back the next day to let them know I was going to have to take my dress, (that I had already paid for in full) to another place to do my alterations. The owner then proceeded to tell me, the lady that does the alterations took my dress to her home to start on my alterations, and I would have to contact her myself and tell her I don't want her to do my alterations. Oh, and the lady that does the alterations only comes once a week, so I was told I would have to wait until the following week to pick up MY dress from them. And since I didn't want to do alterations through them I was then told I need to pay them for their time. I was never told this before the alterations appointment. They ended up having one of their clients pick up my dress, that went to pick her dress up as well. I picked it up that following day. I had ordered a belt for my dress the same day I purchased my dress. It came in almost 3 months later, I went to pick it up yesterday. I was there for 15 minutes while she tried to find it. The owner of the store and an employee where sitting in the front of the store just chatting away. "I am so tired, I'm ready for a nap. Oops I probably said that too loud"- Owner. Not once did the owner approach me or help the lady trying to find my belt. The employee finally found it, she opens it to show me it and its the wrong color. She then tried to tell me over and over again - I told them to order the champagne color not the rose gold. She then checked my folder and it said rose gold. The belt I tried on was still on the floor. It was tagged as champagne not as rose gold, as it should have been. I was then told "its just a belt, at least they didn't order my dress in the wrong color." I was then told my options where to take the belt they ordered for me in the wrong color, or to take their used one they have on the floor for everyone to try on. It takes at least 2 months for their accessories to come in and my wedding is in 1 month, so they said their would be no way they could get it before then. I wasn't offered any discount, the owner never came to apologies, or help out in any way. I bit my tongue and signed off that I was taking their used floor belt. So I paid $500 for their used floor belt. Never again will I step foot in this business, and I will never send people their way. read more

I found my dream dress here, and it made me feel like a princess, however the service here was bad and it was an extreme hassle every step of the way. I ended up buying the dress and they said they would make a custom veil to match the dress. They told me the date the veil would be done, so I show up on that date and they handed me the the fabric for the veil (it was not done). I told them that they said they would have it done and they gave me the run around about the seamstress being "out" or something. They eventually got the veil done, but they put the comb on backwards. When I went in to pick up my dress after alterations were done, I noticed a HUGE rip in the back of my dress. I pointed it out and the lady said that "it was just the way it is and there's no way to fix it." She was also trying to convince me that the rip was there before when it really wasn't and I know it wasn't because I tried the dress on at least 8 times before the rip happened. I told her that I paid a lot of money for this dress and that I expect that it get fixed! They ended up fixing it and I got the dress on time, however, I paid $60 to have the dress and veil steamed, and I received it very wrinkled! I had to steam it myself on my wedding morning. Also, my mom was straightening out the bottom and noticed that the hem was done very poorly and it wasn't straight. After my ceremony, the dress was bustled and the bustle ended up ripping during the dance. The only reason I'm not giving them a 1 is because it was a beautiful dress and I felt great wearing it. The service was horrible and I would NOT recommend future brides to go here because they are a headache and the took the fun out of the dress experience. read more

I almost cancelled because I had been to a few different bridal shops and everything was just too much - too much lace, too much tulle, too much money. While they do have a lot of beautiful dresses (that just aren't my style), I found the perfect simple, satin dress. They have styles to suit every bride and are totally willing to work with you on a budget. It was refreshing from some of the other places I had been to. Michelle was great and she helped me every time I came in whether it was for my dress or with my bridesmaids. The service was wonderful, laid back but very professional.
