I would 1000% recommend Luxe Bridal for any bride who is above a size 10 or anyone who is a bit self conscious. I intended on visiting here and a few others but found my dress on the first appointment. They really make bridal realistic especially for those of us who are not under a size 10 and have a bit of curves. I felt so welcome and comfortable picking out the most important dress of my life. Every dress I tried on was very close to my size, some were too big for me which was something I didnt think I was going to experience when shopping for my dress. My sister had a stressful experience with getting her dress (the attorney general was involved...) so coming in we were all a little on edge, but I got my dress exactly on the timeline that was promised. I had the most amazing time at Luxe Bridal. It was my first wedding dress shopping experience (for myself) and I couldn't be happier. I am not a natural shopper, so this wasn't something I was looking forward to. And as a plus size woman, I have to say that I was nervous about this process. From the booking at Luxe, to the try on, they were accommodating, kind, and willing to listen to my wants, concerns and questions. They day of, we arrive right on time, and were prepared for the cold, thanks to their messages to get us ready. I met my stylist, Lindsey, and she talked with my friends and family, and helped us all get ready and comfortable for a fun morning. We upgraded to the champagne and muffin package, and it made it all the more fun. Once I was in the fitting rooms, I felt extremely comfortable to tell Lindsey what I was looking for, what I was nervous about, and what we are planning for our wedding. It was a breeze talking with Lindsey and I recommend going when she is there. She let me try on some fun dresses, ones that we all wanted to see but knew weren't the vibe, but it was just fun to try them on, but she also pulled dresses that matched my wants and was able to let me know all they had to offer. I really was looking for comfort and an elevated style. I didn't want much sparkle or lace and she knew exactly what dresses to pull. In total, I tried on 12 dresses, and found my top three quickly. I did pick out my dress that day and just feel like it was the best experience I could have had. I am so excited to send them pictures next year so they can see just how amazing and comfortable I felt. I do want to mention the price point, and be up front and honest about what you budget is. I absolutely LOVED my experience at Luxe. I've always dreamed about finding my dress, but I had a huge pit in my stomach about not fitting into "standard" sizes. Luxe took care of that! Each woman working was so kind and encouraging. My consultant, Amy, was so thoughtful and really listened even when I kept being indecisive and changing my mind. The store is thoughtfully laid out so that each bride has kind of her own section to put the dresses on and then come out for the big reveal. I never felt like I was the center of attention for the whole store, and I didn't compare myself to anybody else. I loved that the store was kept at a cooler temperature and that there was water readily available. The women had a couple of tricks to help me make up my mind! I never felt "too big" or criticized. It was exactly the bridal experience I've always wanted, and I could not be more thankful. I was very appreciative that my consultant never told me the size of the dresses I was trying on, and I just got to experience the whole experience of being zipped into beautiful gowns and not worrying about the size or if it would zip. We went and she said "yes to the dress"! My cousin's wedding is in two months. She's not your typical kind of gal, so she wasn't planning for a typical wedding either. By not typical, I mean, green dress, floor seating, first karaoke song, etc. But for some reason, she decided to check out Luxe, "for the experience". She had a pretty low budget (in bridal gown terms), and thought she'd just go try on a few gowns and be on with her day. I saw this girl the day she was born, so those tears and feels you hear about in wedding shops are REAL! Luxe us a plus size shop, so its pretty special to have an entire stock of dresses for women that usually dont have any options in "regular" shops. The staff was super friendly and helpful. She stayed in the price range and listened to the bride to be to understand what she was looking for. After about 8 dresses, we all had a favorite and it was really just up to my cousin to decide if she would give in to the white dress bride... and SHE DID! We were all surprised. I was so wowed by the boutique. I didn't request a particular stylist for my appointment but I was paired with Suzanne and she was phenomenal. We had a chat about my style, vibe of the venue and looks to stay away from and we walked around the store together talking about what I liked or disliked about certain dresses. We found my dress that day and my whole experience was so positive. At other boutiques, it seems they never have a dress in a size large enough for me -- at this boutique, most dresses had to be clipped down to meet my figure (which of course made me feel fantastic )! This was my third wedding dress appointment and I had a tough experience prior to this, especially with my first appointment getting really overwhelmed by the number of choices, crowded shops, and inauthentic salespeople gushing over everything. It may have been the time of day or the fact I went during a snowstorm, but I loved how chill and intimate the experience was. It felt like Suzanne took the time to understand my vision, dislikes, and wants and created an environment that made it really easy to take my time with a decision. I also really appreciated how discreet she was with things like measurements and sizing, while also being transparent about budget and cost before giving me gowns to try on. Ladies, Size 14+ (Bridal sizes fit smaller that street sizes), if you want to make sure there are dresses that you are going to actually fit you to try on, this is the place to go. Dress shopping was what I dreaded most when it came to planning my wedding but then I found Luxe online and decided to give them a try. I went to my appointment and Suzanne was so helpful, kind and really made me feel comfortable. And made me laugh! We tried 6 or 7 dresses and I narrowed it down to 2 options. The one I loved so much had no sleeves and I really didn't know if I would be comfortable wearing it for 12 hours in front of 170 people with no sleeves. Suzanne recommended I buy extra lace to match the dress and have small sleeves added on when I took it in for alterations. Freaking awesome idea! I took her advice, bought the dress I loved for a super reasonable price, and added small sleeves that I loved so much. I have received so many compliments on my dress, how beautiful it was and so many people told me "it really fits you perfectly". I've visited quite a few bridal boutiques as a bride-to-be and as a bridesmaid. I have never quite had an experience as wonderful as I had at Luxe Bridal Couture! Where do I begin? For starters... let's talk about how unique this boutique is. They are the only bridal store that specializes in plus size gowns in the twin cities metro area! I'm a size 18 in bridal gowns. I don't know how many times I've had to pass on a gown that I loved but couldn't get into it. It also gets depressing feeling like you're never going to find a dress because you're just "too big." Well... at Luxe Bridal, I didn't feel that way at all! I was able to shimmy into every dress effortless and they had a wonderful selection; dresses that make you feel like a princess to dresses that make you feel like the sexy vixen you are! I visited the boutique twice. The ladies never make me feel like a burden and pulled as many dresses as I wanted to see. Suzanne helped me during my second visit where I found my wedding dress! She was so helpful and listened to what I was looking for. She was also super fun and easy to work with. The boutique itself is adorable and makes the shopping experience feel luxurious! I had my bridal appointment yesterday and I would recommend it to anyone I know who is looking! I have a good amount of time before my wedding so I didn't go in pressured to find one that day, and my indecisiveness said to me that I probably wouldn't walk out saying "yes to the dress"! The team and my consultant (Suzanne) were so welcoming, they sat down and listened to my preferences, explained the process and direction we would go during that appointment. I tried on many dresses, and they all could have been the one! They were all so flattering, they all fit! Which was huge! Suzanne said to me when we first went into the room, I hear we are really good at pinning- she didn't have anything to compare it to. I don't either, but she was great at pinning the dress tight to me and making me look beautiful before walking out to my girls waiting. There were so many beautiful dresses to pick from, and all within a reasonable budget, and almost all customizable (many had options to go from corset to zipper or vice versa), different colors and adding sleeves etc. We worked on each dress I had on to find what would go best and if any additions were needed. Suzanne was so patient and accommodating throughout this whole experience. I'm an out of town bride who is from the area so I wanted my first experience to be here and with my mom. I was able to sign everything that would be signed before I left and I can just call and make my order now. I couldn't recommend Luxe more and I'm pretty sure I can call myself a Luxe Bride after this afternoon (just waiting to push that button hahaha). read more

I made an impromptu appointment with the thought that I would just try on the type of dress I had been imagining and possibly order online to help cut costs. I had Suzanne helping me and she was absolutely wonderful. I let her know my budget (under $1,000) and my "dream dress." I pictured an A line with a train, spaghetti straps, and blush/pink undertones. She put me in two dresses to help narrow down what I was looking for - one of which I loved, but didn't give me the "moment." She then asked me to wait a moment while she took a peek in a different area, being contentious of my budget. When she came around the corner, I immediately loved the dress. She started it out with the price - $1,600. I was crushed. BUT she said the dress would be moved to sample sale shortly so she would be willing to let me purchase it for the price of $899! The dress definitely gave me the "moment" and I said yes! I was able to walk out the door with it in hand. Amazing experience. All the ladies in the shop were so supportive and it felt wonderful hearing their feedback with each dress. They really make you feel great. Bonus : I went in for my first alterations appointment with one of their suggested shops. I was quoted $50 for "strap adjustment" because even though my dress has Juliet drop sleeves, I wanted to add some spaghetti straps to feel more secure. I emailed Luxe asking if there were any straps laying around to purchase and they allowed me to pick some up free of charge. read more

Great service! This review is so late, but I think it still needs to be written. I bought my dress their old location, but still, it's a great place. Long ago when my sister got married a whole gaggle of us went trying on dresses. When I mean a whole gaggle I mean 9 people, which is just too many for this introvert. We're prancing around the big box store, people are crying and ringing bells and it just wasn't my scene. After that I vowed if I ever got married, I'd only take my mom dress shopping. So, I'd been engaged for almost 6 months and still had a year before the big day before we went to Luxe. We walk in - it's quiet, it's serene and peaceful and I love it. I was actually really dreading dress shopping since I"m over a size 12 and understand a street 12 isn't a bridal 12. I brought in a photo of what I thought I wanted, but really left it up to the consultant, Nikki, to guide me. She picked out 9 dresses all of which zipped up unlike other places, I came out of the dressing room in 7 and whittled it down to 2. She was so patient with wishy-washy me himming and hawing about what I really wanted, but I found the dress I wanted. I didn't have to ring a bell or have a bunch of fanfare. It was a very pleasant experience. We bought it in November and it was ready in March. They held on to the dress until it was time for alterations in September. Oh, and someone said I looked like a Greek Goddess in my Allure gown from Luxe. That's not a term I've ever been called, but darn it, I will remember that forever. I bought my dress here. Loved the place! It's such a small intimate setting that it makes dress shopping even more meaningful! My dress came within threee months and I bought it 6 months before my wedding. The only down fall I had which the store is aware of is I had amazing customer service picking out my dress, and when going to pick up my dress I had to make a 30 minute appointment to try on and make sure everything is right. Well that appointment didn't even last five minutes and I live over a hour away... I felt very rushed and left not knowing what alterations looked like or to expect, where to get a bra, or other accessories. Overall I wouldn't recommend another place to get your dress! When I went to try on my bridal gown the service was great, but after the dress was order and paid for the store couldn't care less about me. My dress was supposed to arrive in September (it was ordered in February), I didn't hear anything from the store so I called them at the end of September - and was told my dress wouldn't be there for another 2-4 months but they are doing me a favor and putting a rush in it. From that point on I received nothing but horrible service from everyone at the store including the owner. When my dress was finally in, the week before thanksgiving - 7 weeks before my wedding, I was told they wouldn't be able to let me try it on in the store if I chose to pick it up. If I wanted an appointment I would have to wait another 2 weeks or so. Considering alterations needed to be done, that wasn't an option. I had to say we would be coming in on that Friday (it was Wednesday when I called) and I will be expecting to try on the dress, and then magically they had room for me. I received a Facebook message from the owner of the store on 12/14 telling me my phone number and email were disconnected so she couldn't reach me. She was offering to treat me and my fiancé to a dinner for the horrible service. I sent a rather long, very detailed, message back stating that wasn't sufficient for how horrible I was treated and for the simple fact that buying a dress from their store caused me nothing but stress. She has not responded back. She has not called or emailed me. Apparently it is not high on her priority list to keep her customers happy after they pay for their dress. I ordered my dress almost a year before my wedding and didn't get it until 7 weeks before the wedding. Received horrible customer service, it was very apparent that after you pay for your items they do not care about you at all. Not at all what anyone wants for a wedding dress buying experience. First off, we're from Missouri visiting some family. The area I live in doesn't exactly have Plus Size stores near them. So I hoped I could find some while visiting Minnesota. I called Luxe last minute on a Saturday, asking if there was any appointments open for the next day. They politely said no, but they'd put me on the wait list. I got a call the next day and they got me in at 4 (the time they closed) I had a meeting with the director, when I got there she was so attentive and nice. I got my own little area (I had a small child in my party and she was very patient and nice to him) I had no idea what I wanted. She helped me figure everything out, never made me feel bad about myself. Never once made a face at me for anything. We tried on multiple types and a dozen dresses til I found the one. Tried on handfuls of belts and a few veils. When I commented about wanting to talk About it before buying, she wasn't upset! She took down my notes, gave me prices of the packages, and dress. I will defiantly purchase from here, but we wanted to be sure first since it was the first place I looked. We felt like cattle being herded and so often they said "oh we have one size so nothing else". It was horrible and some of my bridesmaids went away feeling bad and that is not something I wanted. I bought a dress at Luxe in August 2014 for my March 2015 wedding. Luxe really lived up to the reviews and my expectations of what wedding dress shopping should feel like. I had tried on dresses at 3 stores in the Philly area prior to Luxe and had mediocre to bad experiences both in service and selection of dresses that I was able to try on as a plus-size bride, even though I'd called ahead to verify that there would be dresses in my size and the styles i was interested in. When i came back to the midwest to visit family I made an appointment at Luxe not sure if it would be any better, but was thrilled and excited to find a lovely establishment that made me and my family feel comfortable and offered an amazing selection of gorgeous dresses. My stylist was great - she really understood what I was looking for and my desire to feel comfortable and not too over-the-top, while still feeling bridal. I wound up leaving after my first appointment not quite ready to commit, but within a month I'd booked another appointment and bought my dress at Luxe. The service didn't end there though - as an out of town bride I was happy with their on-going communication, including notifying me when the dress arrived and when it was shipped to me. Luxe is so great. It caters to "bigger" sized women, which only means anyone who is about a size 12 and bigger, which is crazy that that's what the world calls big but I digress. Luxe has lovely dresses that are quite big, and then they use clamps to fit it to your shape and holy cow- every thing I wanted accented was and everything I wanted hidden was as well! The owner was my assistant and she was great- so friendly and great at adapting to what I did and didn't like. The dresses are in the normal price range got everywhere else, and I just think the boutique experience is SO great, and the fact that I didn't feel like I had to squeeze I to dresses made the day so great. read more

Dress shopping at Luxe was amazing!!! I was not looking forward to this experience at all but the employees there made me feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. They were also very supportive of my desire to feel like 'me' in a wedding dress and not necessarily go with the traditional wedding gown. They were super patient as I tried on tons and tons of dresses and spent too much time with my mother obsessing over colors. My stylist was so supportive and kept reminding me that I should get what I wanted and what I felt best in. She was also so friendly and kind and a delight to spend time with! It is a very strange and intimate experience (as they dress you and all), but she made it absolutely lovely. Plus I found an amazing dress and veil. Plus the cupcakes were delicious! read more

Nice to go to a store with sample dresses that actually fit real women! Beautiful designs and the very latest styles. A little on the pricey side in my opinion, but the specific attention they give to each bride, and the incredibly knowledgable staff make for an enjoyable experience. read more

to all brides/bridesmaids out there;; please read before considering this place.. absolutely outrageously expensive. you are fully aware what your dress cost off hand but what they don't tell you is that you are going to have to pay all these minor fee's after the fact. my dress was $250 and when it was all said and done i paid $325. they also charge you a $10 fee to run your card for charging you for a fee. also customer service is great up until the point you actually make a payment on your dress. so distasteful and un-classy. please reconsider if you want everything to go smoothly for your wedding. all of us 12 bridesmaids were furious and the bride to be was in tears by the end of it all. thanks a lot luxe bridal for wrecking what should have been an exciting experience. read more

The selection and service were second to none. They made trying on bridal gowns one of my favorite things I've ever done. Very private, more dresses than you could ever try on in one appointment.
