When we first checked in Friday evening, the young lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. We were so excited to have found a RP park in town-a little "staycation" if you will. We got set up and quickly noticed that many of our neighbors appeared to be in for the long haul. And not too long after our arrival, the police paid a visit to one of the neighbors. That was a little unnerving. Later that evening, my son and I wanted to borrow some DVDs from the office so we walked down. The friendly face from a few hours earlier was gone and replaced with an extremely unpleasant, angry woman. She did not look up from her phone when we walked in the door and tossed it aside angrily when we came to the counter to check out our movies. She made sure to let us know a number of times that she was having a bad day and that things could not get any worse. She kept losing track of where she put things-dropping stacks of paper on the floor, tossing her pen in a frustrated manner and eventually throwing her hands up in the air and exclaiming "I give up!" We were very uncomfortable and felt like we were a burden to her. The next day, my son and I returned the DVDs and stayed to play pool-the first young lady was back, so we didn't feel to fearful of hanging around. Only one pool cue could be found, so we passed it back and forth. While we were there, we observed many interactions with guests and staff (the nice young lady and another young guy were manning the office that day). They were both very pleasant. Based on the conversations I heard, my theory about longer term residents was confirmed. Most everyone was there to pay their "rent" and talked to each other as regulars, not vacationers. On the plus side, it was very quiet both nights we were there. I'd imagine, since this is most of these people's homes, they don't prefer to stay up late socializing or throwing parties. However, the overall feeling of the place is dismal. I felt like I was intruding on people's lives by coming in for a short weekend stay. If you're looking for a spot to stay while traveling through, this may be a place to consider, but be aware of what the park really is. If you're cool with that, then you'll be just fine.

Our RV is parked directly in front of the pet "potty" area and we didn't even bring pets, our RV is 5 feet from a resident RV, very uncomfortable. We didn't get to upgrade our RV spot or even get to select the RV site we wanted. There are 9 RV rental spots that are located in the residential area/monthly area, making our stay feel uncomfortable. On the positive there is a pool, there are washing machines, 2 showers and bathrooms that are open, super friendly/nice staff.

We…read moredo live in a beautiful state and it's appropriate for us to step outside, take a look around and appreciate when nature shows off. I joined a group of hikers and hit the trails this past week, in search of some great fall colors. Bell Canyon did not disappoint. There is plenty of parking at the trailhead, including clean bathrooms. The first part of the trail is pretty rocky and has a decent elevation gain-poles are helpful, but at the least, have good shoes with some traction. Once you get to the reservoir, it's pretty flat and there are lots of places you can get amazing pictures. Be sure to take some time down by the water-it's so calming and just beautiful. There were some detour signs on the trail, so we didn't get the full experience (not sure why it was closed, but we tried to follow signs until they suddenly stopped. So we turned around and came the way we went.) Overall, it's a beautiful hike and I'd love to come try it again when the trail is open.

We started at the entrance on Wasatch Blvd near the residential area; and then, ended up at the…read morewaterfall. It took us about 4 hours to hike approx. 6 miles with short breaks in between for water. It's a mixer of flat, incline, rocky, slippery (snow still out towards end of hike), upward steps, and mini bridges to cross over small water streams. There are surrounding plants and trees, but most are barely blooming. Didn't see any wildlife animals, but saw a few squirrels crossing our paths lol. The hike itself wasn't too hard. I'd rate it intermediate. It was only challenging because the paths towards the end were slippery due to snow still out and melting. It was fun with some close calls. Luckily I found a stick on the way to use. We passed by the lake at the beginning of the hike, which was nice. Once we reached the waterfall, we took a refreshing break; snacked a bit; embraced the beautiful nature; and then, headed back where we started. It was harder to hike down the slippery snow than it was to hike to the waterfall. I'd come back to hike this place during fall to see the vibrant color of the trees.

Doesn't hurt to ask, right? So I called and said we were thinking about reserving a night there, but wanted to check if they had any available places for short-term storage afterwards, as we would be staying elsewhere for the next 3 nights. Woman on phone, very rudely: "Do you mean you don't want to stay here with us at all but you want to store your trailer here?" Me: "No" (repeated the same info as before). Woman, very curtly: "So we need to get you registered for a night then." Me, a little more warily: "Well we're considering it, but I just wanted to check about any available storage options you may have." Woman: "No, if you pay for a site, then you can store it here." Clearly, just asking a simple yes or no question was very harmful (to them) and their rude and hurtful reaction means that they are not interested in our business at all. A simple, kind, " No, I'm sorry we don't offer that" would have been lovely. Management may want to speak to the people who answer the phone, and re-teach what respectful interactions look like. After a long day of driving, we decided to stretch our legs on the Rattlesnake Trail (not my favorite name, but we went for it). The hike was 2.79 miles and took us about 1.5 hours to complete. It was rated as moderate, with plenty of inclines and beautiful views on the way up--the descent was much easier. Entry was $5, which you pay on your way out. Overall, it was a great way to get some exercise and let Luna roam in a safe, welcoming environment.

The boatsmen, Walker and Abel, and their capable assistants Pheobe and Matt, guided us with consummate expertise through the many thrilling rapids and on daily hikes of varying lengths, and their knowledge of the local history, geology, archaeology, flora, and fauna, freely shared with us all, was admirable. The food was delicious and plentiful - even for this hardcore vegetarian - and CRATE seamlessly provided for all the logistics, including the rafting and hiking, our helicopter transport from the depths of the canyon, and the flight back toward Las Vegas on smaller prop planes. All in all, CRATE provided an extraordinary experience through a truly extraordinary landscape. A few caveats: this trip does require some physical exertion, as one was expected to help pack and unpack the rafts, as well as set up one's camps (which, in fact, was a great part of the fun and group-experience). Having said that, one of our trip members suffered some unexpected moderate physical limitations throughout the trip, and the crew capably and compassionately assisted him and guided him, without detracting their attentions from the rest of the group. Also, some of the hikes were more rigorous and offered more exposure than necessarily advertised by the crew; however, it was easy enough to avoid any hikes, or portions of hikes, that one felt was beyond one's capacity. All in all, one of the most memorable, awe-inspiring, and eye- and mind-opening trips I've done in my seven decades!

Check in was easy and they go through all the do's & dont's of using the boat. The pontoon we reserved was the cheapest, but it was really nice compared to ones we've rented in the past at other lakes/rivers. Had Bluetooth speakers which added to the experience. We were bummed out the weather was a bit crappy so I felt like we didn't get to fully enjoy the experience. Also, unless you plan to jump off the boat and swim/float etc., there's no where to beach it to hang out, and you are told to stay 150 feet away from the edges due to shallow water and rocks. The water was a chilly 52 for Memorial Day weekend and without sun and warm temps we didn't get into the water. We ended up returning our rental early due to rain, but checking the boat back in was easy. I definitely recommend renting if you're spending a day here. It's got gorgeous views and it's very big. There were some cool teepees out of what looked like driftwood or something along the South Eastern section that merges into Provo River. There's beautiful homes along northern edges as well.

This place has so much to offer! We didn't realize how much or we would have gotten here earlier!…read more I have been wanting to check this place out since shortly after we moved to Utah. It looks like such a beautiful place to walk around and it's free! From tree carvings, wildflowers and historic tours. We came for the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and there were so many amazing vendors with so many yummy samples! My favorite was the Mediterranean Hummus vendor. So many selections to choose from! Because of the hummus purchase we had to book it out and get it home and chilled! They had fresh meat, eggs, breads, jellies, salsas, and of course tons of produce from different Utah produce farms. It's very busy and you may have to park in the neighborhood surrounding the farm on Sundays. It's quite popular!!!! I loved the old historic buildings some dating back to the early 1900's. There's plenty of animals to check out from horses, to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, roosters, peacocks and a sheep. There's a small country store onsite as well. They have tractor and wagon rides. Some of the most beautiful wood flowers growing, a small creek runs through the property and there are several trails which I look forward to exploring on our next trip. I'm also excited to watch a lesson on cow milking! It's truly a beautiful spot to visit, and if you are interested I'd suggest bringing a blanket and some lunch and sitting under the shady trees and enjoying the magnificent things this working farm has to offer.

The farmer's market here is a great alternative to the one downtown although still much smaller…read more The farm itself is always a fun treat to see the animals including cows, bunnies, chickens, peacocks, sheep, and a donkey. I love taking our dogs to see the "exotic" animals. Behind the activity barn is garden entirely worked on by volunteers in the Master Gardener program. If you ever see them working be sure to share your thanks! There's also a long path that loops the property once you cross the bridge, it follows the stream and then hangs left.
