I was hesitant based on some of the bashing reviews I read on here. Let me get the one negative out of the way. Fact it is not really a resort to todays standards. When they say the sprinklers water the grass at night simply pick your stuff up or it gets wet- no big deal. Now lets move on from the whiners. We stayed here a week over 4th of July 2026. The staff was awesome. The facilities were clean and well stocked, showers are provided and all is inside a permanent building . Power was 50 amp consistent no problem. Water pressure was great. Lots of families, immediate access to the Provo River and blue ribbon fishing. Tons of shade, river sites all have decks. This is a great facility and we will be returning when visiting Provo, BYU, Heber City, Midway, Park City or Sundance all right there. I don't think these negative reviews about rude people, charges, fines etc. are real. I think rather it is a disgruntled employee. read more

This place is simply breathtaking. Easy on off freeway access. Highly recommend for an overnight or extended stay. Absolutely beautiful!

We love staying at this resort, it's beautiful, clean facilities and very peaceful. There are a lot of things to do here, fishing, zip lining, bike riding, literally anything. It's right close to Deer Creek Reservoir so conveniently located for ice fishing in the winter or boating in the summer. I had a great experience here. Anita was super helpful getting my reservation and spot selected. Cellular worked great. They have ice! Everyone was friendly a quiet. The riverfront property was stunning! We had a deck over the river with trout fishing at our front door of our RV. We got in super late- about 1am and the host, Kevin came out to greet us and make sure we could see and get into our assigned spot. If you're a fan of Sundance film fest, and Robert Redford you'll want to stay here. The Sundance Resort (in Sundance) is 5 minutes away and is a stunning drive along the river's edge. It has three "amazing" restaurants to dine at. There is no wifi, although we have Starlink and it worked great. Had phone service even without it. If you're into nature and love simplicity, with classy places nearby to eat at, and explore, this is the place for you. Thank you Kevin for being so great during our stay. This place is absolutely gorgeous and the office staff are incredibly friendly BUT!!!! The owner happened to be at the resort when we were staying and I witnessed her come up to multiple camp sites while we were there yelling at people about their dogs and other items about their camp sites she didn't like. She even started filming one lady who was attempting to set up next to us. She started yelling at her about her dog barking after she walked into their campsite. The dog only started barking after she entered their space. She barged into our site as well complaining about our dogs. This place used to be a stop we would try and make once a year however this woman was so rude and nasty we will not be back. Apparently this is not the first nor will it be the last complaint about how the owner treats her guests. read more

Be sure to read the "Terms of Service" before you pay. It's a beautiful spot on the Provo river, but expensive for NOT having full hookups. Beware!There are 58 resort rules, about 15 carrying fines such as $100 if dog is off leash or poop at site, $100 if ANY noise from dog, $10/hr late fee, $50 if arrive after 9pm, $200 if you damage grass, $25 for guests, $50 if fishing, $150 if you misplace the fishing pass, etc. I was charged $25 for exceeding the 5mph speed limit, which I consented to paying as I was trying to get out before checkout after misplacing my fishing pass..all to avoid fees. That didn't keep me from being ragged on by two different staff memebers while trying to empty my rv tank...with no cleanout water, BTW. The "Terms of Service" is a reflection of the type of customer service you might experience. read more

The RV Park is along the Provo River. It is surrounded by snow capped peaks this spring. The RV sites are very close together but thst means there are plenty of sites for RVers and campers. The river sites are very nice but rather expensive = around $150 per site. All in all I think this is a beautiful location even it it is crowded. The lady at the front desk was completely unhinged. She yelled at me in front of my grandchildren, cussed at me in front of my grandchildren. For the prize that I have paid to camp up here and the way we've been treated up here. I absolutely 100% would never recommend this place to anyone and will never come back. Do yourself a favor. Save yourself a lot of money there's beautiful places here in Utah. This is not it. The parking stalls are right next to each other. We Love camping and adventure. We are always looking for great camping spots. If your in Utah then Provo River Resort is a must stop. It's incredibly beautiful and they offer river front sites with a large deck overhanging the river. We had loads of fun fly fishing and playing in the river. our son is a pro at casting now . lol . Each site comes with a fire bowl, we made s'mores and plenty of new friends. The staff was very friendly. They have a mini store with many things to buy that you may of forgot to bring. They even offer cabins & TeePees. I mean seriously there's so much to do here, you can do a private fishing tour, Zip lining , Floating the river or just relaxing in the scenery, this was definitely a fun family adventure. WARNING: Only reason this park is getting 1 star is because the scenery was somewhat decent 1. Owner (Anita) is rude and extremely disrespectful 2. Owner (older man) will walk on your lot and look in your trailer windows. No privacy 3. Manager is a liar 4. This "resort" will nickel and dime you 5. Only 2 porta potty's filled to the brim with feces 6. Only 2 showers that are filthy and smell like cigarettes 7. 90% of the park are full time residence that are loud and party all night After paying the additional $50 to "lock-in" our spot once we got there, we find out the manager told the current occupants they can stay additional nights even after lying to us and denying she ever said that. After waiting 4 hours for another site to open the manager finally admitted to us she did tell them that. Upon checkout we told the owner about our unpleasant experience when arriving and waiting for our spot to finally open, she was very defensive saying we are "blocked' from ever coming back! Do yourself a favor and find one of the other many, much nicer RV resorts in the area like we'll be doing in the future! read more

What an amazing experience. Not only is the campground fantastic, the cabins are super clean and the scenery is beyond amazing. We stayed in cabin 1 right on the Provo river. Fully equipped kitchen, plush shower towels, comfy, cozy bed, a hot tub right out my back door next to the river and fantastic scenery. Huge shoot out to the owner, Anita and her caring staff. I felt like I was at home with all the amazing people I met. They are my family now. They will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Don't forget to ask for Joe and Jeremy to take you fly fishing. They are the best. Run don't walk to get here. You can thank me later. read more

We had a fun evening at the Provo River Resort! So many friendly campers, the hosts are amazing, and the weather was incredible! Lots of people fly fishing, cute kids and animals walking around and we even got invited to hang out at Frankie's trailer, a guy celebrating his 50th birthday with his friends and family! This resort is beautiful! While there are some coveted spots that get booked quickly, it's easy to walk around and take in all the scenery. We will definitely return soon! read more

we enjoyed our stay at the Provo River Resort. We stayed on an rv site along the river and enjoyed the decks that over look the river. We were told the campground is popular and expensive because everyone catches something but, we fished two days and never even had a bite. We still had a great time and the area is beautiful. I do think the prices are a little steep per night time for rv camping so when we feel like splurging again, we would like to come back to camp and float the river. The Teepee camping experience here was great! We got one of two teepees and the one with the bed - win win!! Showers and toilets are a huge plus for me! Waking up next to the river and hearing that at night - can't be beat. We were here over a holiday weekend so a little loud if you plan to head to bed early - but all in all would definitely recommend. We will be back. Only suggestion or word for if you plan to stay in a teepee - there are no picnic tables so either being a table or plan to work around it. There are resort tables but not by your tent area so just keep that in mind. We managed just fine with the two of us but with kids, it would have been difficult. We can't wait to come back! Lots of amazing things to do - we kayaked the River and also fly fished. Lots going on around here and close to Provo and about 40 minutes from Park City. Great spot!!! read more

We have lived in Utah for 3 years and we camp a lot. This place is so beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The spots are very roomful and quiet. Very peaceful. This is absolutely one of the prettiest RV parks we've been to. It's right on the river and many of the spaces back right up to the river. When we were there he river was fast moving and reasonably wide, fishing available right on the site, and they have a play area for kids, nighttime outdoor movies, and a small trailer for coffee and ice cream, a breakfast sandwich, etc. The spaces are narrow, as is the road, and they also request that you park on the gravel rather than on the cement pad in your space as "It may crack". Strange. Also, their dump is not operative on the site. There are only two showers available for the entire park. I have some criticisms which mainly involve nickel-and-diming of guests. I would not have a problem if they charged an extra $15 or $20 or so per night. I do, however, resent being given a site that has only 50 amp electric rather than 30 amp and then being charged $10 per day to use their adapter. Adapters cost $20 brand new. Also, when we made reservations, we paid in advance for the site. We were then informed that if we wanted to keep the specific site which we chose, and for which we paid in advance, it would cost us an additional $20 to guarantee that site or they reserved the right to give it to someone else and to move us to a similar site. How can you sell something to someone and then charge an additional $20 so they don't then re-assign the site for which you've already paid? As to the dump connection on sites, it is not available or operative, and their solution begs logic. They have a main dump site but it's only available when the refreshment trailer is not open. Considering it's open from the morning to early evening, and most people that are going to depart and need the dump site do so during the morning, it it not available. In other words, you don't have a dump in your space, nor can you use the community one because it's only available long after most people leave so, in essence, you don't have a dump. It doesn't make sense. Also, if you have a guest that comes to see you, they charge him/her $10 for parking. Okay, having said all that, it's still one of the prettiest sites we've been too and we'd return, even with the limitations. The staff is very nice and the park is well maintained. It's close to the reservoir for fishing and boating and the scenery is beautiful. It's a very good choice. read more

This is a beautiful resort, there are many sites where the river runs through the back and some have patios built out over the river. I was able to fit my 38 foot bus with no issue. Staff was very helpful and nice. They do have a small store, sell ice and fire wood. Driven by here some many times and never noticed it ( you can't see from the road). If I could rate this 'resort' a zero I would! First, their address on their website is wrong. You don't get to realize this until your are over 30 minutes off in your drive. Then, you finally get there and everyone is parked like sardines. If my husband wasn't such a good driver I doubt we could have gotten in the sliver of patch they assigned to us. We have been RV-ing across the United States for over 5 weeks now and have been to dozens of RV sites. With the exception of the natural beauty of Provo Canyon, this place has NOTHING! No Wi-Fi (even when the description says there is), no laundry facilities, no sewer hookups, no tables or chairs. NOTHING! And considering this was the most expensive site we've paid for $287 for 2 days, STAY AWAY! read more

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! We stayed here for almost 3 weeks. Had a lovely premium site by the river. We have a very large Class A rig and we're nervous about access and maneuverability, but we had no problems at all and towing our trailer we are over 65 feet long. The park is incredibly well-maintained. They have a store with lots of amenities. Clean bathrooms and great, hot shower rooms. There is a park on site, a food truck open different hours and soft serve ice cream. Many of the sites have direct river access and the views are fantastic. The park is well run, and management is strict. They are super nice if you play by the rules... Sadly, a lot of people don't want to do that. But they don't tolerate riff-raff here--so don't even try. They will shut you down in a hurry. They have beautiful lawn areas, and the whole park is clean. Large fire pits and picnic tables at most every site. There is even a miniature horse on site that loves to be petted and have treats. 15 minutes from Provo and 15 minutes from Heber. So shopping and dining and amenities are close. 15 minutes from the Sundance resort and the Alpine Loop. The location is ideal. The electric hook ups had good, clean power, and water pressure was great. No sewer hook ups in most of the park, but they are working on that. They do have a dump station and we had to unhook and dump about once a week. It wasn't really a problem and considering the other amenities it was totally worth it. The cell phone reception was good and both of us work remotely. We were able to stream and work without issue. We have both Verizon and AT&T. Super fun to sit and watch kayakers and fishermen go down the river all day. This is really a great little hidden gem. And they do rent tubes for the river if someone wants to float. They have cabins that they rent out onsite. I didn't see inside, but I bet they are lovely. They do allow pets in the park, but it was super quiet from both people and pets usually. There were a few cons, but it really doesn't take away from my review, just a few things worth mentioning. There is a little bit of road noise from the canyon traffic. I'm sensitive, and it wasn't overwhelming. Quiets down a lot at night. There isn't a ton of parking for all the guests in the park, so they charge those that come $10 to park in the overflow lot just a little higher than the park. It's good for the entire stay though so all things considered it's not too bad. Probably the biggest gripe is that the store was often closed during business hours. They do have a number to text for service but it wasn't always convenient to do that and we didn't always get a super quick response. You can definitely work around this but it's probably worth knowing. We were getting into kind of the slower season so keeping a full-time staff in the store might not have made a lot of sense. We might have liked to have made more use of the store amenities, were they easier to access. When we did go in it was great. They have firewood on site, a borrowing library of books and a bunch of DVD's that you can rent for a dollar. And free popcorn. The gal that works for food truck is fantastic and so super helpful. We were even able to pay her teenage daughter to dog sit for us when we had to be gone for extended periods of time and she was amazing and so helpful. They really were the icing on the cake for this trip. So all in all this is a great place that really cares and provides an amazing environment for their guests. There are tons of improvements going on and I know they have great plans for the future. We plan to be back over and over. Thanks Anita and Kevin for all the heart and soul you put into this great place. I did hear that some of the bad reviews were from a group that was evicted and they continue to post bad reviews. That is a shame. Don't be afraid by the fact they say they can evict you with a 30 minute notice. If you play by the rules your stay will be golden. They ARE reasonable. Such a beautiful place with great potential! but the owner Anita is a hot tempered person that will get right in your face and threaten to call the sheriff! and have you thrown out for life! - at the slightest infraction. Too bad because the man that checked us in was so friendly, jovial and helpful. There is no black waste clean out without an extra fee. The camp host(owner) who will not respect privacy and will come Into your campsite for any reason and at any hour. Complaining about other campers throwing rocks . There were some negatives at this resort, but I believe the positives outweigh them. Beautiful setting. We had a huge site. But there are definitely some very small ones. There are 2 sites, I think 34 and 35 are beautiful sites where you have a beachfront where the kids can play in the water. read more

BEWARE: though this location is beautiful, but seriously lacking the amenities that would make it so expensive. ALSO, it is very clear that this is a permanent residence for people even though their site says it is not. For us, it really changes the feel of a campground. As advertised, we were expecting a resort with the amenities like laundry, showers, bathrooms and hook ups. We were aware that in site sewer is not available. 1. First issue is the fee for late arrival. I have not had any other RV resort charge for arriving after 7pm. It is common to arrive later when on the road. 2. When pulling in, we were placed between two people that obviously lived there. It is not at all clear that they offer long term stay. I wouldn't have booked here if I had known that this was some peoples residence. 3. Since there is no sewer in site, I expected bathrooms and showers to be available. The only bathroom is an outhouse and the showers are a whole other issue. 4. SHOWERS - when we arrived, they said they changed the code to the showers because someone has been defecating in there, so we would have to be let in by the office. Well, the office is only open from 12-6. Who showers only during those hours? very unreasonable. I contacted the office to find a solution and never got a reply. the following day, i moved things around to go take a shower at 2pm and the office was CLOSED! no answer to the phone numbers and the one person that we could contact is in St. George and cant do anything to help us. 5. Laundry room was closed. I count on being able to do laundry on site since I'm on the road for this 2 week long trip. Why is it closed without notice? 6. Request for remedy. I emailed prior to posting this publicly. I asked that they address and remedy the situation and there was no response. BEWARE of what you're getting here. its expensive and is missing the common amenities that an RV resort usually has. Call ahead with your questions and be sure you know what you're getting. read more

Even though some sites have nice views of the river, I would not recommend this RV park. The $175 a night is a resort price but this place is not even close to being a resort. We had several problems there during our stay (1) electrical boxes not grounded (2) very low water pressure and water smells bad (3) no sewer connection at your site but one community one. The community one can only be used when the food truck is closed which is before 9:00 AM and after 4:00M so basically you can't dump when you check out (4) no water at the dump station to flush your tanks and (5) after complaining about the electrical not be grounded, they cancelled our reservation and didn't tell us [they sent us an email about this so we had to remake our reservation]. Regarding our problem with the electrical box at our site, it was not grounded nor was the one next to us. I was concerned about this as there were supposed to be lighting that evening. I went to the office to report this and they said a maintenance person would drop by to fix it. The maintenance guy dropped by and said he hated surge/EPO protectors as they show the electric box is not grounded. He said someone else would be by in a minute regarding this. I thought that was odd since he was maintenance. Anyway, the owner drops by and proceeds to tell me that the electric box is grounded and that my $250 surge/EPO protector is wrong (which it is not) and that mountain electricity is different than Los Angeles electricity (we live in CA). I joked with her that electricity is electricity but she kept a straight face. I told her I was very concerned about this and she said it was fine for me to plug in. I asked her since she said it was ok, would she repair any damages, should they occur, to my surge protector or van electrical and she said no. She said she would refund my money and I could leave which was not a possibility on a Friday night of Memorial day weekend that I could find another spot. I told her they should note on their website that the electric is not grounded so that people can decide if they want to stay there or not rather than finding out on the spot. In my opinion she was curt and uncaring about the situation she put me in. read more

Owned by a family who is very hospitable and kind. Get any of the river front spots and it's a dream. The landscape is gorgeous and you either have a personal deck or a beach entry. The have water and electricity to each site and a dump near the office. Stayed in June and it was warm enough to float along the river and cool at night. We did get one quick thunderstorm. read more

We pulled in and should have kept driving. We paid $65 for a spot which was supposed to have hook ups and there was none. They pack you in like sardines. We stayed for about 2 hours and in that time it kept getting louder and smokier from all the campfires. I was the head guide at this resort so I know how it works from the inside..the employees are all treated terrible, most of them quit within a few weeks, (i have seen employees cry)they fired me for no reason(I am disabled) they had me doing things I shouldn't have been doing. The owners daughter sold me a bulldog puppy with a broken jaw(without letting me know) . She yells at everyone their is so much drama and tension there...always! If I didn't have to I wouldn't have even put one star. read more

This could be a really great place if not for the management. They were rude and lacked simple customer service skills. They told us that they had double tubes available and to come back in 15 minutes. When we came back we were told that they were not able to locate any two person tubes. However we're told we could get the single tubes for double the price. The nice thing for them to do since they told us they had them was to give us a break in the cost of the tubes. I felt like they nickeled and dimed you for every little thing. Even charging an additional $10 per lifejacket that should have been included in the price. They find any little thing to make extra money by charging a fee if you go one mile over their speed limit of 5 mph or if you park an extra car by your space they will boot it and charge you a $300 fee. Thankfully that did not happen to us. I will not be coming back to this campsite. read more

Used to love this camp ground. Staff is unprofessional and rude. A friend exceeded the 5mph limit by maybe a few mph and was confronted. It is ok to enforce rules, it is not ok to try to fight and be rude to customers. The employee continued to fight and say things like "don't look at me like that" and was extremely aggressive. The situation could have been handled much better. Completely unprofessional and will never stay here again after years of food memories. Almost forgot to mention my $70 dallor a night tent spot was on gravel with a community fire pit. Spent over $140 dallors and didn't even have spot I would stay at for free.. read more

The staff is friendly and very helpful, the campsites clean and well kept, with some right on the river. There is a play area for the children, and gorgeous views all around. It is centrally located, so it's convenient to Deer Creek Reservoir, Bridal Veil Falls, The Bridesmaid Falls, and the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway, which will take you to Sundance Resort, and Uinta National Forest. I reserved a 2 night stay in July back in early May and they wanted $ 20 extra to secure, that the space we reserved would be the space that we get. I called and questioned that and they told me that there might be other people who really like the view or space that we reserved and so there is a good chance that we would get there and end up somewhere else. I told them that others should have reserved the space they like ahead of time like I did. Its a racquet they take your money for the reservation and then want more to secure that reservation. Its ridiculous and very bad business. I went ahead and said I would take my chances and that I would not pay the $20 extra. I just had something that I can not change come up and turns out we can not stay. I cancelled my reservation 1 month ahead and now they only want to refund 90% of what I paid. I guarantee we will never ever consider staying at this park ever again. read more
