Diamond cut pool plastering is an amazing company, their workers are good at what they do, they clean up after themselves, the level of workmanship is outstanding, and their bid to remodel my dilapidated old pool was below other bid that I received. The only issue I had was with a subcontractor that is not part of diamond cut, beware of guy from ace pool service, he was brought in to do leak test, and his guys are lousy, thankfully I noticed all the outlet return ports in the pool were facing different directions, before we started filling the pool! Lee came out to look at it & said your job is small I don't think its fair for me to make money off this why dont you just work directly with one of my guys... WOW how honest can you get! His guy called me the day after, came by then completed the job that weekend in one day. He was on time & also cleaned up well after the job was done. He was also able to match the pebble tec so you can barely tell where the crack was... not an easy job since the pebble tec is 12-15+ years old. Diamond cut did the plastering of our pool about 10 years ago. My husband wanted to use them again, but after the initial visit we couldn't get a hold of Lee who was supposed to contact us. Tried calling 4 times for a response, was told that the company was really busy with work in the bay area. Well I told my husband they don't want our business. After 5 weeks of waiting and calling we called another company Trade Mark pools. All I will say is a simple call back to say you weren't interested would have been great. Diamond Cut came through when our pool sprang a leak (may have been leaky when we purchased the house). The inspection service provider who confirmed the leak gave us few names to have the pool replastered and Diamond Cut was their highest recommendation. As expected, they were in high demand and we had to wait few months before we can get the pool replastered. But the wait was well worth it. Once they came on, Jim walked us through the process so we knew what to expect. After the work was done, Lee walked us through reopening the pool. Now, we have a newly plastered pool and no structural work to worry about for many years. And their cost was significantly lower than other quotes we received. I had my pool replastered by them not too long ago and the pool looks decent, but I must warn you that once my pool had been stripped and I had already chosen the tile and plaster Lee had told me were part of the signed quote, he then added an additional fee because according to him the plaster I had chosen had not been the type agreed upon on the original quote (even though he had previously mentioned quartz plaster without mentioning the add on price). Also, DO NOT under any circumstances agree to their workers doing your pool start up. I paid them an additional $500 to deal with the chemicals and the start up of the pool (which Lee said would be 5 days). This start up was NEVER completed and his worker only showed up for 3 out of the 5 days. I contacted Lee who then told me he would talk to his worker about it. It is now over 2 weeks since the pool was finished and I am the one having to do the start up on my own and using my own chemicals and having to purchase new ones. Overall, just beware when working with them, fees may be added and like I said under no circumstances allow them to do your startup, they will just take your money and not get the job done. read more

Diamond Cut was highly recommended by a very trust-worthy, local pool store. And I contacted one of the reviewers below to see if their 4-year old review still stood test of time. It did. The office manager (don't recall her name) was my first impression of the business and it was a good one. She was personable and offered good advice - even recommended we get a few bids. Once I knew I wanted to get a quote, I was in touch with Lee. He came out to meet my husband on the heels of another, very overpriced company (they kept adding on work, including for new coping, which we DID NOT need). Lee was very straightforward. He did tell us to check to make sure our skimmer wasn't leaking (and told us how) because if it was, that would be the time to fix it - during the replaster. Well, it turned out it was fine. Once we choose our materials and sent back, we set a tentative time for them to come in the early Fall, but when I didn't hear back close to the date, I called and the same office manager let me know they had other jobs backing up, but she'd get Lee to call back. And he did. They were very clear about the process once it was to start, when to start draining, what would happen next, etc. And it all went down like clock work. Lee texted instructions during the curing process, and always got back to us when I had other questions. He was not personally here during the process, which I was a little disappointed about, but his team really knew what they were doing. The pool and new channel drain look amazing. What an awesome job!!! My wife and I wanted to replaster our old pool. We received several bids and were told a wide variety of things by some of the companies.
