DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We bought our garage doors from there 5 months ago. David installed them. Left a mess all of his trash everywhere. He used mismatching screws. Five months later the whole siding is falling down. After months of trying to g to get them to come out to repair it, he says they are out of business. Debbie the supposed owner does not answer the phone now. David does. He says she sold her phone to him. He said he would pass our number along to her. I asked for her and he said he doesn't have it. I regret using this company to replace my garage door. 5 months ago they replaced my garage door. It has been making a weird noise ever since. I called them a few months ago to come look and fix it. They came out, but the noise continued, but a little quieter and they reassured me everything was as it should be. Every time I opened the garage I had a gut feeling something was wrong. Now it stopped working. I called them, David picked up, he seemed to give me any excuse not to come out, first claiming it was the motor (which we replaced a few years ago, so it is not that old), then claiming the company is OUT OF BUSINESS. Larry came out and gave me a free estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable. He and Debbie were very easy to deal with and friendly. We had an old screw-model, but working automatic garage door and planned to replace it. Well our garage door spring broke, so it was time. We also have a second manual garage door and wanted a motor for that. I contacted Diamond Garage Doors. They responded quickly (they would've been quicker but I wasn't available). They replaced the broken spring, replaced my old screw motor, installed a motor on my smaller manual garage door, and replaced my old worn out rubber door gaskets along the bottom. Twice, they tried to upsell me after they had quoted one price for a new opener for a rental house. I remained firm and they honored the original quote...BUT, they left the first time because there was no AC outlet right next to the opener. There was a hardwire to the original Genie motor. This delay made it more of a problem for my tenants. Other companies said they would plug in an extension cord to test and use, until I could get the power source sorted out. Debbie Dennert (the owner) gave me a reference for a handyman / electrician (Kelly Lane- a long time "friend" of her dad, the original owner of the business) to install an outlet on the ceiling of my breezeway. I got his estimate and sent him over to the rental; he claimed everything was finished when he came to my house for payment......except he would go back the next week to patch stucco. I paid him in cash and set the appointment for Diamond to go and install the new opener a few days later. They called and said the outlet didn't work....but they installed the opener......and they hooked up an extension cord to get it working........ok. When I checked out the electrician's work, nothing worked, no switch controlled the outlet as he initially claimed.......haphazard, loose installation of the electrical box in the attic and stucco gaps all around. Many texts, calls and promises later, no response. When I alerted Debbie about the fact that I was stiffed by her referral, she was dismissive and said she didn't even know him. So I am giving 1 star for the aggravation, delays and uncertainty on whether this referral electrician will ever come to fix the outlet/hole in my ceiling. Had these guys come and service our garage door back on April 6th, $215. Less than a month later the door wouldn't open. The guy on the phone went on about the motor not being the correct one, or the rails. Was the spring. Wanted $800 to come and fix it. We ordered the Conejo Deal for a Tune-up and Inspection. Scheduling was super easy and efficient. The technicians arrived on time this morning at 7AM as scheduled. They were in and out in less than fifteen minutes. While the garage door sounds much better now due to the liberal application of lubrication, that was all that was done apart from checking the safety beam. There was no tightening of the hinges, hardware, track, balancing of door, adjustments, or anything else. Now it might be that the door didn't need anything further than just a lube job, but I could've done that work with a four dollar can of non-silicone garage door lubricant from Amazon. So, I'm happy that the door sounds quieter due to the lubrication and am also happy that the safety beam is operational and properly aligned. However, I would have liked a little bit more communication about the rest of the door -- even if that meant it didn't need any of the other aspects of the "tune-up and inspection". Overall, I would contact Diamond Garage Doors again for further service if the expectations are clearly laid out ahead of time -- I know that I will need new seals soon (both on the bottom and around the frame), so hopefully Diamond can handle that! read more

I spoke to Debby and requested a maintenance call for my garage door opener. It was making some "squeaking" sounds that seemed to indicate it needed some tune-up and lubrication. I agreed to the $95 service charge for the job. David and his helper arrived on time. I opened the garage door and they went inside the garage and stood and stared at the tracks and rails for a while. David asked what the problem was and I told him I had called only for a maintenance check and some lubrication of the system. I watched as David's younger helper sprayed some kind of lubricant spray (similar to WD-40?) on the rollers, while David went to the truck to get the bill. He told me the whole maintenance would take less than 15 minutes. David's helper then went inside the garage and asked that I close the door, putting him in the garage and out of sight. I assumed this was so his spray can could reach the rollers. David came with the invoice as his helper re-opened the door. David then went into the garage and pointed out a long, approximately 20"metal rod, sticking out of the motor that was bent in an odd way, like a right angle. He informed me that the opener was broken and needed to be replaced for $475. What? I had never seen that long rod sticking out before that moment! Was I blind? Why had I never noticed such an obvious thing? Also, why didn't he tell me about this first thing when they both walked into the garage and did their initial survey? Who knows? What I do know is that a garage door opener that was working, with some minor squeaks, was now broken and needed to be replaced. When I told David that I wasn't interested in replacing the motor, he told me that I didn't have to repair it today, but when it eventually stopped closing the door, I could fix it then. Thanks. I am also quoting another reviewer here that echoes my thoughts exactly about the value of this service: "There was no tightening of the hinges, hardware, track, balancing of door, adjustments, or anything else. Seems everyone I called was either uninterested, too busy, or they felt I was just shopping. So getting a quote seemed really difficult. Thats when I got a hold of Diamond. What a great experience from start to finish. We were referred to Diamond Garage Doors from a contact on Nextdoor. My door broke on Friday evening and after contacting them on Saturday afternoon, they were able to come out on Monday for the repair. We sent some pics of the garage door and they were able to use the pics to provide a quote over email. The serviceman showed up early, was professional and very considerate. Took only 2 hours. :) what really impressed me was that he changed the wiring, replaced the old push button on the wall, and also reinforced the cross beams holding the drive system from the roof of the garage. Good work by Diamond Garage Doors on my house in Woodland Hills. They gave a price far less than another estimate I got. They hauled away the old creaky ugly tilt-up garage door and replaced it with a quieter roll-up from the Unique Garage Doors manufacturer, who offer a wide variety of styles. They used the old opener motor, so I didn't even have to change my remotes or PIN pad. Communication was good, and the delivery and work was quickly done. They even threw in an emergency release when I asked, which wasn't in the catalog. (My garage has no access except that door, so I need to be able to manually open it from the outside.) read more

I WILL NOT use these people ever again!! I had an issue with my garage door in 2013, called up Debbie and she set up an appointment to have David come out and replace the motor. Call went well, David did a good job, **** (4-stars). Now let's jump ahead 3 years. Called up Debbie to set up a service call, she sent out David again, he looked at the door and within 2 minutes was able to tell me the door needed to be replaced.... fine. I placed the order for my new door, was told it would be installed about a week later, took the day off to be home, and at 9am I get a call saying "the door didn't come in on the semi truck." Huh?!?! What do you mean it "didn't come on the semi truck," I asked. She stated that the company they order their doors from, Unique Garage Door, messed up the order and the door won't be ready for another WEEK!! When I shared my displeasure of the situation with Debbie, she became silent and didn't seem to care a lot about my position on the matter. I suggested calling someone in MANAGEMENT at "UGD" and finding out what the hell can be done about this before they lose a customer, but Debbie didn't express any real concern for my situation. I actually had to call "UGD" myself!! Fact is, 'Unique Garage Door' is a TERRIBLE company, you can't call to talk to someone of authority, their customer service is beyond terrible, no management available, and they pointed the finger back at Diamond Garage Doors and said Debbie didn't place the order until THIS MORNING, the same day it was to be installed!! GAME OVER!! Mesa Garage Door's, (800)893-1107, will be here TODAY between 12 - 2pm to give me a quote for my new door, and they GUARANTEE they'll beat the price I was given!!
