Everyone is seemingly staying long term, which comes with having a lot of belongings outside of every camper. Most all of the roads on the property are potholes and huge puddles. Wouldn't want to walk to the bathroom or main facilities because of all the water on the road to get there. They have one toilet stall in the bathroom, and the rest is paid shower stalls. Booking was alright but limited since most people book way early and for next year, the website shows pics of booking spots which is nice to see but not usually as accurate when arriving to camp spot. Luckily when I went it was funtastic, hot weather with cool winds, camp spot was alright but more rocky then grassy for my tent placement selection. However, I brought enough gear which I prepared for camping such as a hammock, bbq utensils, disposable dishes, cups, food and water just to enjoy the stay. Note: Always bring sweats, sweaters, blankets and sleeping bags because it gets extremely chilly at night. Bring clothes according to the weather and appropriate shoes for hiking or hot weather, I'd say one park of beach sandals and hiking shoes. Washrooms are readily available which is nice, with showers (hot) free, and has a outdoor washer for cleaning dishes. Parking lot is limited to campground however the beach/lake view has large parking areas. Be sure to review their map for activities which is updates monthly, there are plenty of things to do such as the theatre which is a learning centre. Their website contains specific bookings for their programs too that include stargazing. Be mindful that this is also a national park, meaning there is an entrance fee and depending on your camp stay you'll need to pay for those days too per person. Take your time to visit the tourism spots and nice picnic areas. Recommended for first time campers or camping goers. Trails for hikers, people who like to camp with friends or family. July is the best time to swim later months lake is algae infested. I would definitely come back here again. At night the beach view is amazing when sun goes down almost romantic as the night stars appear. It would have been spectacular if I camped when the northern lights were at its highest.

I understand restrictions but the resort is designed for people who live there full-time. The ones with full hook ups and built in decks. And if that's what you want this is beautiful. But if you just want a weekend getaway this may not be what you are looking for. There is only one bathroom facility and currently with the cleaning schedule we found there were times it was not accessible. And despite having facilities in my trailer I still prefer to use the provided ones. The resort also advertised trails and they were a joke at least for someone who wanted to go for a real walk. I was also very unimpressed with the check in process. I tried to take advantage of a deal on firewood but they processed my credit card too quickly - it just felt not friendly. Not like the oh so many RV resorts I've been to in the past. I tried something different when I went again- maybe you should too?

Staff is ok, no time to chat at times due to constant maintenance and work. Grass is well kept, lots of washrooms almost everywhere which is great! The park has a beach which is busy, volleyball on the side and kids playground. There are change rooms nearby with a fairly clean washroom and water pump to rinse off. Boating on the docks near the beach. Trails that lead to other campgrounds but if your looking to camp you may need to book. The managers cater to the 55+ crowd; we were told our children were noisy and that our RV door closed too loudly. We've camped in nearly 100 campgrounds throughout Canada and the United States over the last 18 months and have never had anyone make a complaint about us, rather, people will comment about how lovely of a family we have. We were taken aback. This year our camping reservation was cancelled by the manager, saying "we weren't a good fit" although we stayed without any complaints for one week, in May 2023. We understand that managing a campground must be a difficult task but it's unfortunate that the managers cannot set their feelings aside to run a business. Would definitely stay again, once management has changed over

Garbage and droppings all over and in the lake. My heart sank like the old jeans in the lake as peered out onto it from the dock. Weeds as far as I could see. No one really cares for this lake anymore it's obvious. It's a shame. Firewood is $17/bag lasted us about 4.5hrs of burn time. You also need to get an plug adapter for the plug in if you rent an powered campsite. $20 deposit. On the positive side the staff were super friendly. The store is open 24 hrs and sells alittle of everything at not that big of mark up. The best part of the trip were the great friendly campers there. I'll be back in 5-10 years to see how much has changed but unfortunately it won't be to camp. Thanks for the moments I used to have Mink lake.
