I was scheduled to be moved today 5/15/23.. I called Friday 5/12/23 to confirm my appointment... Well today the day of my move that was scheduled for 9am they called me at 8:15am to tell me they had to cancel because they had no truck it's in the shop.. So now my family and I have to go to a hotel because we have no electricity or gas here it's transferred to the new place that is completely empty.. I have 4 small children including a new born... No one could call me ahead of time so that I could possibly come up with another option... Totally unprofessional I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!! read more

I moved from a second floor apartment to a one-story ranch fifteen minutes away. From the first call, I had an interesting interaction with the receptionist who was convinced that I would need to pay for at least 8 hours of moving (including travel time from West Seneca to Depew.) She was constantly saying that they 'might not be able to move' everything on my list. I should expect them to 'not be able to finish,' etc. She asked if my husband 'would be willing to move things down the stairs from our second floor to the road' to expedite things. Um, I hate to be a pain, but I am paying you for that? Anyway, they were the only company available the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and ended up finishing their trip/move in under 5 hours so I didn't spend as much as I planned (was around $490-550 with tips,) which was nice. And I got my furniture to my new house before visitors on Thanksgiving, I was really grateful for their availability. They couldn't move my couch because it would not fit comfortably out of the apartment and since we were renting, they could not do it. I had to ask a friend to bring their truck and move the giant couch by ourselves. The movers were a little rough with some of my dressers (somehow in the move got a hole in the bottom of a drawer?) and the employees themselves were rough around the edges. They left moving blankets in my yard. I was appreciative for their time, but I ended up moving smaller stuff by myself due to budget restrictions and in the end I am not sure if I would use them again/recommend. read more

What could've been a bad scheduling snafu was handled wonderfully by Elyse. She made sure we had drivers on site and ready to go within minutes. The three-person crew was very professional. The had the misfortune of moving us through the pouring rain. I was pleasantly surprised how dry they managed to keep things, especially the large furniture. They were quite calm, quiet, and kept moving through it all. I would recommend Diamond and definitely use them again. read more

Called to get a quote and spoke to an extremely rude man who told me the date he just booked me for was already taken. Before I could even ask him if I could book another date, he said, "you'll have to find someone else then" and hung up on me. I called back to a rude woman who hung up on me when I tried to tell her we were looking to book another date. Wow. Stay away from these jackasses. read more

This is the WORST company!! While the actual movers were good, they were quick and courteous, the owner Mark is completely unprofessional, rude and dismissive. My movers were scheduled to pick up in Montreal at 2:00pm, they did not show up until 9:00pm. It had been snowing all day as it was December, one of the movers promptly told me they forgot runners to put down in the house, so they moved all my stuff for the next 1.5 hours with 4 guys going back and forth outside and in, all the while snow and slush and water was just accumulating all over my floor. It took me 2 hours to clean up after they left and I had work the next day. When I confronted Mark about it he told me " some customers are worth investing in and some are not, you are not" and told me I would not be compensated for that and then promptly blocked me his phone. I booked my stuff to be picked up 1 week before I was actually flying out so that my stuff would be in Alberta, which I was told was 5 days, when I got there. When I called the morning of my delivery I was told that my stuff was in Toronto and I would not be getting it for another week. When I said "where do you expect me to sleep?" I was told "where you sleep is not my concern, I answered your question". Come delivery day, it was supposed to be delivered by 12:00, when I called the driver at 12 he said there was an issue and would be here by 1:00-2:00. When I called at 2:15pm I was told to office made a mistake and sent him and my stuff to Calgary, not Edmonton. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this rude company to my worst enemy. (See edit below, the business addressed my concerns) I probably should have shopped around. The movers were rude, continuously used bad language would look at me but not answer when I said a thing should be taken or asked a question. They moved a lot of boxes, but I had sold almost all of my furniture prior to move and the only appliance left was the fridge. At the new place, they filled my bedroom with a bike and patio furniture, though my housemate told them not to. I was still at the house, waiting for a cab with my cats and laptops. They removed the screen from an entrance that is not meant to go in and out of....french doors with no attached stairs. They had the choice of the main entrance, wide sliding doors in the dining room or a back door. They attempted to overcharge me by more than $100, I moved 5 blocks away. Their math is sketchy. I never got a copy of a contract. When complaining to them or to the woman on the phone, I think Betty, I would only get excuses blaming ME! They broke an desk into pieces and knocked a drawer front off of a dresser. Betty said she would call me back about various complaints, including the below, she never did. At the new place, my housemate watched them chat with a passerby what was interested in the 'for rent' sign on the lawn, they recommended she not move in as the people they just moved in came from a 'disgusting house'. That passserby rented the upstairs apartment. It was a horrible, awful, terrible experience when moving is stressful as it is. Edit: 11/18- Bob, the owner, from Diamond Moving came to my new place on Wednesday to examine the broken desk and talk about the other issues. He was very courteous and apologized. He did give me a portion of the payment back, the amount I asked for which I thought was fair. Edit:12/28- I have just received forwarded communication from the BBB, apparently written by the business on or about 12/20. They wrote lie after lie to the BBB. They said I had more things than I stated- I did not. They said I only had $135 in cash and waited 45 minutes for a 2nd party check- I did not. I had a check and cash. As "Betty " recommended, as a customer may not know the exact amount until the end of the move. They stated I was angry towards the movers and 'made' them come back multiple times for things that weren't going. No, they kept leaving without saying they were leaving or knowing if we were done or not. They stated I had no receipt as I 'slammed the door in the mover's face". I had long conversations with the movers after the move and they hung around at the truck outside for about half an hour....taking the time to insult me to a passerby. They had plenty of time to make a receipt. They went outside to 'call the office', they could have come back with a receipt. But, they just left without a word. It gets even worse than that. TLDR: Don't hire them! late, faulty quote, unfinished move, caused damage, fought our claim for repairs FULL REVIEW: After getting multiple quotes and reading reviews, we decided to hire a company that does both moving and storage for our moves - we had a temporary address between selling/buying houses. Diamond Moving and Storage was in a similar price range for both services as other companies and, at the time, reviews were a bit higher for them than the other companies we researched. The first part of our move was simple: a crew arrived to take our large furniture to storage and all other belongings we moved ourselves into our temporary address. That first crew was awesome! They called when they were on their way and took great care of our items. The crew who performed the second part of our move 3 months later was an entirely different experience. They were late and did not call ahead. In fact, I had to call to get a status update and they arrived 2 hours later. When I scheduled this move with the owner, I listed out all items and the number of boxes. The owner was with this crew and acted surprised by what we had, even though I had spoken directly with him when I made arrangements. The 2 other men on the crew complained about how difficult the owner is to work with and one of them had plans to leave employment there because of how difficult the owner is. After much deliberation, I told the crew to keep the move to the quoted price, whatever that meant to them, and we would move the rest ourselves. The owner agreed. The crew worked without any assistive devices, like dollies and straps, and didn't have furniture covers for the pieces we did not have in storage. They also did not place pads down in our temporary address to protect the floor. They loaded the truck (leaving a majority of our items behind), drove to the new house, and unloaded. The time it took them went slightly over the quoted amount but he kindly discounted me to hold to the original quote as we had agreed upon. Later that night, after business hours, we found damage in our home from the movers placing an appliance, in a room the owner did not at any point enter during the move. The appliance remained unmoved for 3 days until they were installed. During that 3-day period, we tried working with the owner to resolve the matter. We called first thing the day after the move to discuss the damage. The owner reported to our home, assessed the issue and offered to refund us the cost of our move. We declined this initial offer so we could get a quote for repair. Later that day he asked for pictures then came back to the house to take them himself. He then said he would pay us after we obtained a quote for repair. While I waited for the quote from our contractor, we received a letter from the owner lying about the situation in a number of aspects (from which appliance caused the damage, to the location of the appliance, and outright lies about measurements he took - he was never unaccompanied in our home and did not once measure anything). Funny enough, the actual installed location of the appliance is farther forward than the damage, proving his measurements are outright lies. As advised by our attorney, we begrudgingly accepted a payment for our complaints from the company in an amount less than the cost of the recommended adequate repairs for the damage the movers caused, and less than we paid for the move. I've since noticed some damage on our furniture but will not waste my time dealing any more with this company. They treat their employees and customers terribly! read more

Betty was wonderful at answering all of my questions and the three gentlemen who preformed the move were great! Polite, fast and took great care. The estimate was over what we had actually paid. I would give 0 stars. We live in Manhattan beach, CA we have a 930 sq ft apt with minimal furniture... not even a kitchen table and no storage... we are moving to Phoenix, az. We spoke with a very nice sales representative named Michael, from United moving experts. He talked up the company and made it seem like it was the best. Everything up until we gave our deposit for our locked in quoted amount of 2250.00 was great. We had to do ALL of our own packing and wrapping. Every time united moving experts would call to follow up it was a different representative. Multiple people asked us to sign the same contract that was already signed... so clearly there was poor communication. They contracted out to use Diamond moving and storage to pick up our stuff and move it to Az. This company came in at 7am ended at 3:15pm and loaded up everything. As they finished the job they told my husband that the new price was 4,000.00 OVER the quoted price that we signed contracts on and paid a deposit on AFTER THEY PACKED UP OUR ENTIRE APT. What they should have done was came in, analyzed the apartment and before they started loading the truck told us it was going to be $4,000 OVER the quoted price.... for an apartment that we packed ourselves! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are EXTREMELY unorganized. They have terrible communication and clearly they are totally overpriced! They were respectful, professional and very quick too. The move only took two hours total. They were very charming young men. Fantastic experience all around. The movers (a team of 4) delivered a large 700+ pound printer to my home office. They had to come up a rather steep hill to a deck at the top to get it in the office. They came fully prepared with plywood, straps & a ramp and got it in with not a single issue. Extremely friendly, polite, and professional. Don't under any circumstances use this company! The movers are incompetent and the owner is rude and behaved in an untrustworthy manner. When we originally called for an estimate they would not come out to the house, instead asking my husband to estimate how much needed to be moved. That should have been the first red flag! We did call back a few weeks before the move to say that we had underestimated and we were told we would be fine with their truck and the number of movers they assigned. Moving day arrived and they worked at a snail's pace! One of the movers stayed on his phone the entire time, even plugging his phone in to recharge. He literally sat and texted while twirling a suitcase around. At 2:00 he announced he had to leave for another job and walked out the door. The other movers on the job complained about him being on the phone so I called the office and the company asked why I didn't take his phone away from him...They agreed not to charge me for him as he did nothing. Half way through the day they said the truck was full and they would have to finish the move two days later! The owner, Bob, took no responsibility for the amount that needed to be transported even though we had called to let them know that the load was going to be larger than was originally discussed. The movers themselves, although friendly, didn't wrap anything before moving it. They neglected to reassemble a single thing that they took apart. Sloppy does not even begin to describe their work. I was asked by the office to call back after the move was complete on the second day and they would, "work something out" regarding the cost. Bob was rude, trying to blame me for underestimating the amount that had to be moved. I reminded him that we had called to let them know that the load was larger than we had anticipated. He refused to negotiate with me and only wanted to speak to my husband. Appears that he only wants to negotiate with men. He then yelled at me that he would see me in court and slammed the phone down. Our family has moved eight times in the past twelve years and this was by far the worst experience we have had. Unprofessional, disingenuous from the top all the way down. I would warn anybody to stay away. read more

If you care about your property at all DO NOT USE DIAMOND MOVING & STORAGE. They will SCAM YOU, DAMAGE YOUR PROPERTY, AND THEN CALL YOU A LIAR WHEN YOU CONFRONT THEM. I hired them to move my mother from one house to another and they damaged all of her property worth thousands of dollars, - some of which was antique and irreplaceable - they damaged the walls and floors in both houses, - I had to hire a contractor when they were done - and they stole a drawer of clothing and multiple bottles of wine. AWFUL! And that's not even the half of it. When I spoke to the receptionist, Elyse, who does all the booking, she quoted me one price that somehow doubled when the job was finished. I booked four movers, who showed up AN HOUR LATE and one of them, the manager Keith, LEFT after an hour of work. Halfway through the move, he was replaced by two men, one of which showed up drunk and was rude and belligerent the entire time. THEIR MOVERS ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS no matter what they tell you. One of them even admitted that he worked at Walmart and was only helping Diamond for the day, which explains why they did not know what they were doing. They did not properly wrap her furniture to protect it from being damaged and from damaging the walls and floors. They did not take off the refrigerator doors or knobs on the stove so both were severely scratched in the process - THIS IS MOVING 101!!! In addition, it was raining that day and they set her furniture down IN WATER, which is why a lot of it has water damage. THE EXTENT OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE IS INSANE! They also took extensive breaks during the day and Diamond decided to charge ME for 14 hours when they only did 6 hours of work! Because the move was so awful, I told my mother to hold payment until I talked to Bob Sireci, the owner of Diamond Moving & Storage, but when she did so, THEIR MOVERS GANGED UP ON HER and scared her into paying them. She was an older woman by herself. HOW IS THAT OK? When I called Bob to talk about his movers and payment for all the damage, which is owed to us via the contract we signed, he said that she ganged up on them! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? No, because 1 woman against 5 men is impossible. He proceeded to call me a liar and after 6 weeks of going back and forth via email, phone, and one in-person showing of both properties so he could see the damage for himself, Bob stopped responding to any and all forms of communication. In this day and age, how can you treat people this way? Honestly, go with any other company, just DON'T USE DIAMOND MOVING & STORAGE. YOU WILL REGRET IT! read more

The movers were very harsh with our personal belongings and even broke about 11 glasses even though they were labeled "fragile". The one mover used our bathroom without asking and told us that we shouldn't go in there for awhile since it smelled so badly. They inappropriately joked around with each other both inside our apartment and outside. When moving into the new house, they did not follow the directions on where we wanted items placed. read more

I would not recommend this company. I had them move just a few items and after everything was in place I went to turn on an electric fireplace unit that was working perfectly fine the night before the move. After the move it would not work. I called the company and spoke with a gentleman who in my opion was very rude. To sum it up he basically told me oh well we are not responsible for any electronics moved ie. Washers dryers refrigerator TV's. This was never explained to me prior to the move nor after. Now there was some minor damage to other items that I had moved but considering that these men moving me had to deal with narrow stairwells and tight door ways I was not upset in the least bit neither did I expect any sort of compensation. The gentleman I spoke to seemed to not care in the least that something of mine was broken nor was he willing to offer any sort of help in rectifing the problem. The two men that performed my move though we're extremely polite and professional. They represented their company extremely well. These guys came promptly and had no issues moving or fitting anything into the truck. They were all very nice and chatted with me as I directed them as to what was going and where everything went. I really can't imagine it going any smoother than it did. Like any move there were a few damaged items - nothing of real value...and most were likely the fault of my bad and hastily done pack job. After the guys left, I called Betty right away to give a glowing review (I could write another nice review about Betty - so sweet).
