Unfortunately due to a unforeseen horrible experience, where i moved, i found myself moving twice within less then a month. In a rush and panic, on my other movers being booked; i remembered zitto movers. The entire process was quick, easy, average cost for what need to be moved. Ken, and Adam were professional, friendly, stellar, personable customer service, helpful, and careful with all my belongings. My time frame when i called to book for my move today; April 30, 2025 was between 12 and 3. As promised received a call 1/2 hour, and was the second of jobs for the day. Luckily, i didnt have too much, arrived with the truck and an extra co worker, that lived close to get me moved quickly, which was huge, in allowing me to reset back up my old apartment earlier. Is moving a fun experience for anyone? I doubt it, but Zito Movers made our move to a new apartment smooth. We enlisted them to move only our furniture. Our old building is very labyrinth-like and there was no way we could've moved the furniture out of the building ourselves. They called us 15 minutes before their arrival and were ready to get the job done. It took them less than an hour to get all of our furniture out of our old unit, and then 45 minutes to get it into our new place. They took really good care of everything -- especially our more delicate items like the TV and a glass coffee table. From communication to efficiency, Zito Movers went above and beyond in our move. We literally could not have done it without them, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone making a move, especially either out of or into a difficult space. read more

I hired them to move three items, two couches and a freezer from Grand Island to two different addresses in Niagara Falls. They quoted me one fee and when they arrived to do the job they wanted an additional fee for the second drop off. They had both addresses on the work order, as that was always the plan. Driver argued that he needed to collect the additional fee. I called the office three times to ask for a refund and have never received a call back. Would not recommend this company, the bait and switch with the fee and no reply to the phone calls is bad business. read more

I used Zito Movers a few weeks ago for a local move from Buffalo to Clarence. In the lead up to the move, Zito was very responsive and communicative. They had been highly recommended to me by my real estate agent and they seemed to get great reviews online. The day of the move, they showed up FIVE HOURS LATE. I called their office probably 20 times during this five hour period and my husband even went to their physical location to try to talk to someone. We couldn't get ahold of anyone. When they finally showed up, they claimed the pickup window was from 11am-2pm even though I was told 9am. They admitted that the paperwork clearly had 9am originally and it got changed (even though they never communicated the change to me). It's one thing to show up late, but to be completely unreachable on the day of the move is unacceptable. No one ever contacted me afterwards to apologize for the mix up despite my leaving multiple messages. The movers themselves did a decent job so my deduction to three stars is primarily due to poor management. read more

The bad: I was the 'first move of the day' and the movers were more than an hour late. They didn't call until after they were 45 minutes late. I called their office when they were almost 30 minutes late and no one answered. They also did not hook up my washer and dryer (I'm not 100% sure this was part of the move but I kind of expected it and would have even been happy to pay for it, since they had to unhook it at the old place.) and they didn't place the units in the areas they belong. They are several feet away from the hookups and I will have to find some way to move them and hook them back up...Youtube and I don't know...a dolly that I'll have to rent. The good: Once they finally arrived the guys were polite and thorough and organized. The job was quickly and carefully done. Anything large and ding-able was covered and wrapped in a cloth while moved. They removed the glass from my glass table before moving it and carefully wrapped the glass. They agreed to move a bed that was already in the new place from upstairs to the basement as another bed was taking it's place. They took everything to the rooms I specified as they asked each time something was brought in. I don't have a lot of experience with movers and these guys were WAAY more careful with my things than the last movers I had (those guys broke glass and dented/dinged almost everything), but they were also more than double the price (just over $600 for a small two bedroom apartment with limited furniture, less than 20 boxes, and a washer and dryer and lightweight rowing machine as the only large 'appliances'). I guess like dentists, you can never expect your appointment time to be honored, but at least you get careful and quality work. I'd use them again, but I'd take the whole day off and check to make sure they will re-hook my appliances after the move is complete. read more

Zito Movers did a terrific job for us in September when we moved from a 4 bedroom home to our new home. Anthony and Lou were very helpful and accessible as we planned the move. Anthony came to our home to provide an estimate and answer questions. The cost estimate was fair. In addition to furniture, washer, dryer and piano, we had over 300 boxes (at $2 each). The date was changed to accommodate our real estate closing date. Todd and his crew were very courteous, careful and incredibly hard-working. Nothing was damaged or lost. They completed the move as planned between 9 am and 6 pm for the estimated cost. We were very pleased with the job they did. We highly recommend Zito Movers. read more

We had Zito Movers move us into our new home just this last week...the service was excellent and I would highly recommend them. If I move again, I'll definitely be calling them. Here are my reasons why: - They were prompt, and they wasted no time getting me out of my apartment and into my new home. We were out of our apartment and in our home in less than 3 hours total. - The service was outstanding. They handled my stuff as if it were their own, and they took apart and reassembled our beds. They also set up our furniture in the rooms the way we liked. - They had tremendous respect for our home. We had just remodeled the entire living space in our new house, and they made sure to wipe their feet and do everything they could to prevent scratching our newly installed floors and freshly painted walls. I do have one minor drawback, and that has to do with the cost. I ended up having to pay roughly $150 more than my original estimate. Which was kind of unexpected. However, with the service I received and the way they treated my home and furniture, it was worth every penny. read more

Wow - I am really sad now, especially after reading how wonderful and careful they were. It was a whirlwind mess. There was slush through the house and when I asked for blankets, they said "sure" and put a couple on the rugs but none on the floors - they actually took the towels I was using to sop up the mess and put them on the carpeted stairs. They were not in the least bit careful from my point of view - new woodwork was gouged, a new door chipped and a Tribecca coffee table had a major chip in the very dark wood - they also lost the metal tube for the table- and never called to see if I found it. I did a day later after leaving a message for owner who never called me back. They did wrap the piano but nothing else. They were super fast, I will give them that and entertaining as two of the young guys were hitting each other with my couch cushions. read more

Used Zito based on some glowing recommendations for moving our single family house from North Buffalo to Elmwood and I can't say how great there were. Based on the 4 quotes we had they were right in the middle. Lou came to the house and took notes on what was moved and had our quote to use by the next day. They work off a base price + $1 box so you know what you are getting. No surprise getting billed for extra hours. They also require no deposit and were extremely flexible when faced with some last minute schedule changes On moving day we where given a 4 hour window to expect them to show up but they called us when they knew they were running a little late. We got a 3 man crew lead by Joe. Joe was great, he went over the and let us add some things to the list. They were all extremely polite to the point of asking to use the bathroom. I also couldn't believed how fast they worked loading there truck. Everything was handled carefully and there was never any grumping or moaning about anything. When unloading their the truck into our new house they put everything into the proper rooms and asked if the labellings was ambiguous. When we unpacked our stuff we found that absolutely nothing was broken even in the boxes we didn't pack super carefully. I was kinda amazed. Hopefully we are not moving anything soon again but Zito would be moving us. They are cash only but you get to feel like a baller carrying around 800$ in cash for a couple days and they are a little slow to return phone calls but that's minor in the grand scheme of things read more

These guys are awesome. We hired them to move us from our house to a storage unit while we waited for our new house to close, and then from the storage unit to the new place. Both times they were very, very fast (less than five hours to move an entire house) and incredibly nice. Super professional, as well. The added bonus is that their prices were fair. The glass panel in our china cabinet's door was broken during the move (pretty much an issue with the cabinet). They gave us zero hassle about replacing it, and the owner delivered it himself before we needed it for Thanksgiving. Exactly as promised. I have no hesitation in recommending Zito movers to anyone. The two young men showed up on time and got the house empty in just about an hour. They dropped some stuff off at my house and hauled old furniture to the curb. I was quite happy with these guys for the most part. They have 4 crews that work in a day and they average 12 jobs a day between the 4 groups. That is insane if you ask me, but these guys are tough. They had great sense of humor, were willing to take our suggestions, help us out and even fixed our nook, which was previously damaged by M&J movers. They had some issues with our fiberboard desks and had trouble putting it together, but all of us taped it and bubbled wrapped it and I will put it back together later. I was happy to see that they did not throw our stuff around and communicated to us what they were going to do to make sure we understood and felt comfortable with it. We mostly cleaned our previous apartment while we waited for our first load to be finished. I noticed at one point they used our tools, but the worker said that he was going to give it right back, but ended up taking one of my husband's favorite screw drivers. We will call them to see if they k ow where it is. They worked tirelessly and we're a well oiled machine that worked well together and never complained or got irritated which is great given all the hard work that was put on them. We had a house full of furniture and over 100 boxes and they got all of them over safely. They had to take a second trip to get the boxes, but our idea to let them get all the heavy furniture in and get the boxes in an easily accessable place was great for all of us. They work 6 days a week and don't take anything litely when it comes to your personal goods. They found my hubbies checkbook that he had lost two weeks before and gave it to us. That sealed the deal for us. Some pieces turned up missing unfortunately in the move and my father-in-law' screw driver disappeared, so I could only give them 4 stars, but if we ever move again we will more then likely go back to them. They charge a flat fee for types of furnature, hoisting over a balcony and $1 a box so it was a bit steep in price, but not as bad as the quotes from the competitors. Now on the attorney generals site they have a list of well insured and regulated movers as well as a movers check list and what to look for in a moving company. Do not make any moves til you have read this as it was very helpful to me. I just wish we saw it before we put down money on the movers as we would've done more research. I never thought shopping for movers could be as big a deal as it was. When we bought our first house, we assembled the crew of friends and did it ourselves. After that day, we vowed to hire movers for the next time. Well, that time came this past weekend. After gathering quotes from 6 moving companies, I seriously considered gathering the crew for one last hurrah -- moving ain't cheap!! Well, 5 companies were in the $2K range, and 1 was $400. One of these things is not like the other things, and I wasn't about to trust the lowballer. Anyway, Zito's came highly recommended from several colleagues, and they were free for our targeted moving day. I supplied a list of items to be moved via email, and they supplied a non-binding quote. 9am sharp the truck pulled up, and within minutes the 4-man crew was hoisting our "house stuffings" in. Joe Zito was friendly and communicated quickly that the guys were there for business, and that I should relax and just let them do the work. Echoing another reviewer, I NEVER saw one of the crew looking at their phone when it wasn't an actual break. Two complete truckloads and one house was emptied into the next, all within 3 hours. That included washer/dryer and a shed! Moving certainly ain't cheep, but Zito's definitely made me come to terms with it being worthwhile to hire someone else to do the lifting. Hopefully I won't need movers anytime soon, but if I do, Zito's will get the call. read more

I need to make a small move of items out of storage back home. The crew arrived early (they called earlier in AM to see if I could be the first move but my schedule couldn't accommodate). The movers were able to drive right up to the storage location without disrupting others at the location. They were able to load the truck very quickly - all of movers took care of the furniture by wrapping them up in protective covers and then tying up the load. At the house, the movers were efficient placing all of the items in the basement quickly - withing about 20 minutes. Throughout the move, the movers were very friendly and professional. The price charged for the move was very reasonable I would use Zito Movers for a future move. read more

My fiance and I bought a house and we did move boxes and small stuff on our own, but we needed someone to move the heavy stuff for us. I'm tiny and can't help him with larger pieces of furniture. Two friends recommended Zito Movers so we booked them to move us. These guys (three of them) showed up on time and were super friendly and efficient. The whole move took them just over an hour, and they moved: three large dressers, one queen sized bed, one entertainment center, once sofa, one love-seat, one recliner, one heavy gun safe and one huge desk. Oh! And one beast of a treadmill, too! They laid down blankets on our carpeting and even over railings so as to not damage anything. They removed doors when necessary and put them back on without an issue. They disassembled our queen sized bed and put it back together once it was moved from our apartment to the house. The day before the move we did get a call from the office saying that they needed to push back the start time due to a truck being out of service, but when we shared that it would not work for us they were able to make the original start time work. Normally we'd understand something unavoidable like that but since we work overnights we wanted everything into the new place as soon as possible so we could go to bed. I didn't deduct any stars because the office was able to honor the original start time. *Bonus Star* for the one guy listening to Pearl Jam and other great tunes on his phone. read more

I have waited over a week to write this review because I'm still shocked by my experience. Zito's was recommended by a friend for moving purposes and we had scheduled with them for 9am a Saturday. I filled out a form online with basic information about what we would be moving (I just wasn't sure of how many boxes). They called me back same day with an estimate and we scheduled the move. I was advised that I should park on the street in front of my residence overnight if possible to ensure the truck would have a place to park in the morning. When the truck showed up they were unable to fit in the spots that we held (probably equal to 2.75 car lengths - we parked to take up as much space as possible). They blamed the large truck size that they showed up with on the fact that I answered unknown to how many boxes I would be moving. Now, I'm no expert because I don't work for a moving company, but when I spoke to them they didn't even ask me to narrow down how many boxes I might have (ex: will it be 20? 50? 100?). We figured no problem! My cousin lives across the street from that residence (on a one way street that is very slow especially on the weekends), so we first offered his driveway. The semi truck they showed up with couldn't fit in the driveway. We figured no problem! We can have the spot directly across the street that the moving truck would fit into (we also saved that spot, just in case!). After my cousin moved his vehicle the driver of the moving truck advised that they are NOT ALLOWED TO CROSS THE STREET when moving items. Let me remind you, it's not like I lived on Transit road with 5 lanes of traffic. We offered to "direct traffic" so that they would be more comfortable walking across the street (the street is so dead that in the 15 minutes the semi sized moving truck was on my street, not one car came up behind it). The driver advised that the companies insurance does not cover them walking across the street so I called into Zito's to speak with someone there. The person I spoke with said his insurance doesn't cover his employees crossing the street and he could lose his business if someone was injured. WHY WASN"T I ADVISED OF THIS PRIOR TO THE MOVE DATE? He insisted that he told me to save spots (I did), that it was my fault that I didn't know how many boxes I had to move (again, I'm not the expert - the next place I called helped me narrow down truck size by ESTIMATING the number of boxes to move), and that I don't have a driveway (they couldn't fit in it anyway). The place I moved into has single side parking and there is a huge chance that after they loaded everything in their truck (which they didn't end up doing) and got to my new place of residence, they would have had to park across the street. I'm curious as to what they would have done if that happened. They said they could come back the following Tuesday. This is where I admittedly lost my cool. We had to be out of the apartment by the following night (this happened on the 30th of January). I told them to leave if they couldn't help me, so they left. In my experience working in customer service, I know that my job is to be the expert; to guide my customers in order for them to be successful and have a great experience. I did NOT experience them with Zito's. Moving is already extremely stressful, especially in the winter! Luckily, I called around and found someone who could move us same day. I would not recommend Zito's after the poor communication and lack of problem solving I received from them. read more

The background: I've moved over 30 times in my life (and I'm not that old), including to Europe and the Middle East. I'm a champion packer, and I've dealt with all kinds of movers in all kinds of circumstances. Zito's was recommended to me when I had to do a local move. I've hired them five times since 2011, both on my own behalf and my mother's. The good: The moving crews are awesome; I'm going to mention Todd's good humor and professionalism in particular here. In five moves, nothing's ever been broken or lost (including my temper), they've been pretty flexible in terms of availability, and their rates have been reasonable. The bad: That said, box count has been an issue. When you're booking, they ask you how many boxes you'll have. They charge, I think, $5 per box. And they count. If you go over, you pay more on the day of. So I'd learned to bring 30-50 percent extra cash with me, for extra boxes and for tipping ('cause these guys really do work their @sses off). My last move was to Canada ... but, like, less than 100 miles over the border. They were horrified by the idea and said they wouldn't do that. So I hired them to help me pack -- first time I'd ever done that with them -- and load the van I'd rented to drive myself. I thought the quote just to load the van was a little pricey: $400 for a small one bedroom apartment. But it was a second-story walk up on a busy street in Buffalo, and I needed to get it done. They also charged about $200 for the packing service. Now, again, nothing was broken or missing, so the packers did their jobs. However, I ended up with more boxes than I'd quoted them originally ... but this was because the packers created a lot more boxes than I thought it would take to hold my stuff. So, when the stuff was all loaded into the van, Joe Zito (Todd, wish it had been you instead), told me I owed him $800 -- double the original quote, minus the packing job that created more boxes than was really necessary. I had $600 in my wallet, thinking that would cover it plus a nice tip. I also had Canadian currency which would have more than covered it (and which any local bank will change for free). When I offered him that, he sneered at me like I'd proposed to pay with a live chicken or something. I had to run in the rain three blocks to the nearest ATM while the van blocked a lane of traffic on Delaware. That was enough to end an eight-year relationship with a customer. The bottom line: If you're a champion packer, too (meaning you keep control of the box count), and you're doing a smallish local move, and you ask for Todd, and you make sure you've got plenty of extra cash on moving day, Zito's is a fine choice. If you need help packing, or appliance hook-ups, or you're going out of town, or to -- gasp! -- a furrin country, look elsewhere. Most of my experience with Zito has been good, and I'm sorry to be giving them only one star. But yeah, that last session with them was pretty unpleasant, and I walked away feeling like I got scr$wed. read more

I have used Zito Movers in the past and was extremely pleased. Unfortunately I'm not as pleased this time. I was given an arrival time between 11 and 2. A little inconvenient, but acceptable. The day before the move I received a call saying they had a cancellation and the movers would be there by 9. Great! I had them pick up a sofa at a different location, so $75 was tacked on to my original quote. No problem. I had a large roll top desk, chair, kitchen table, and washer being delivered to a seperate location. Another $75. No problem. The 3 movers arrived on time. I explained to them that the large desk and chair should probably go on their truck first as it was going elsewhere at the end of the move. I got ignored. It was taken apart and put on last which meant they had to take all the pieces off in the snow, and then put it back on the truck afterward. Part of my quote included a large standup jewlery box that was securely closed. They refused to take it because they didn't want to be responsible for It's contents. Then I was told they couldn't move my 2 piece cabinet because they thought it might come apart during the move. It's a very sturdy/you put it together cabinet. The final draw was when I was told that they couldn't move my snowblower and lawnmower because they couldn't fit it on the truck. To me it seemed like they were making a lot of excuses. My washer wasn't connected and neither was my stove. The only good feature of this group of gentlemen is that they were very careful with the furniture that they did move and did it very quickly. They did take off one of the $75 charges becaus they didn't move everything that i was quoted for. Now I have to rent a small truck and find someone to move the rest of my stuff. Not happy as I am a live alone senior citizen. I don't know if I'll ever use this company again. read more
