It stopped working a day later. The timepiece ALWAYS worked. I later noticed the backing was not smooth it was the beveled back which I did not originally have there. I had the smooth back. They switched my chronograph with a bad one. I knew something was different but it didn't dawn on me until I looked at my images of it. Be careful when bringing your heirlooms to this place. I'm bringing it back tomorrow, 2/26/2025 for corrective measures. I've proof it's not the same. Mad as can be at this place. It's necessary to complain when it's not right. And a $50 out-the-door cash subtraction from the wallet. Ouch. But, that's inflation for ya'. The owner's really nice, and she has a unique store, with a lot of stuff to look at inside while you're waiting. They answer my questions. It doesn't matter if it is in person or via phone, I have never had a bad encounter with anyone working here. To take off links from my watch is around $20 bucks. I do remember it being cheaper but then again that was ten years ago. They don't just do link removal. This also do a whole lot of repairs for batteries and such for automatic watches. They placed the order, we paid, and told us 4-6 weeks. Never heard anything. Almost 3 months go by (wedding already past mind you) and STILL NOTHING. So husband called- they never placed the order. They place it then. Go back in person after a total of 4 months went by since October they have no update or record of order. So we thankfully got a number to someone higher up (from a different location) who actually had answers and was extremely helpful, understanding and embarrassed by our experience thus far . He himself placed the order communicated well and reached out when it was ready at the Fairfield location. We go to pick up and there is a sign because they're on lunch "back at 4:15"- of course but that's okay everyone needs a lunch, we. Will wait it's already been 6 months what's 20 more minutes? Well they didn't get back at 4:15p they came back at 4:30!!!! The lack of organization, accountability and empathy for customers is astounding. That guy Steve needs a raise, and Fairfield seriously needs to look into their employees and business practices. Will not be returning.

Yes I'm will to pay a reasonable mark up but 1200 for 6 grams averaging at a total $336 US dollars. I then got blocked. Don't get played by there pricing and wanna be cultured ascetics, they will get you to put money down and leave you on payments walk away with an item. Even with the price of gold it will take years I means years to even break even if you wanna get it as an investment as well. Stick to 24k and cut out the silver I mean gold dealers. Probably 9k gold with a 10k gold stamp haha
