The woman who helped us was so sweet and patient and made us feel right at home. It took her less than five minutes to sized down my son's watch and then took the time to make sure his watch fit perfectly. I went to get a simple battery in my $2,500 Movado. All she had to do was take the back off, put in a battery, close it back and give it to me. She handed it back in pieces claiming corrosion had cause the wind piece to just come off. There was no corrosion only ineptnes. She said her name was Lynn. I took a watch in to have one link remove. The repairman convinced me that it wasn't necessary to remove a link to get the watch to fit my wrist snug. He then moved a pin on the fastener twice. While doing that one of his clocks began to chime. He snidely tells me to ignore it because it won't bite unless it does. He then charged me $10 plus tax for moving the pin on the fastener. I asked him how much it would have cost to remove the link. He said it would have cost the same. Not only was the charge excessive his snide attitude was unnecessary. read more

Just like any other long standing, operating business that has been around for decades there are ebbs and flows regarding the services offered, received and or provided, BUT it will always be my first stop. I trust the information I receive from them because if they're unable to repair it I can receive a referral to a location that offers the same quality of service. Brought three of my watches in for repair today to have the batteries replaced. My prized Invicta Lupah, model 2222 was given back to me with the time set dial very loose. It broke completely when I got it home. Now I can't set it period! Apparently the Asian guy there either did not know how to set it, or was rushing to get the time set while other customers waited and broke it and did not take accountability for it. When I explained that's not how it was when I brought it in, he got some what rude, which made me even more suspicious. There is an old saying..."what goes around, comes around." Customers beware. The technician was very clear that there was no guarantee if my watch would remain waterproof after the battery replacement due to the seal being broken. Fossil watch, needed battery. Technician (young man) broke the the stainless steel spring bar, while trying to remove the back cover for battery replacement. A piece of the stainless steel spring bar has lodged in seating area for spring bar. Technician indicated that there was rust and corrosion for the seating area of the steel spring bar. I love this place and seems to be the only one in Vallejo. Quick service and (I forgot to get her name) is really knowledgeable. While others refuse to replace batteries on G-Shocks for some reason she took care of three I brought on top of a Tag and expensive Victorinox I forgot I had. Highly recommended. First off, this place was a referral from a good friend of mind that took his Omega Seamaster for service. He said he had a good experience. I took my Tag Heuer in for service as it has not been functioning properly. The watch needs a service every 5 years or so. I dropped the watch off on 9/3, and was quoted 6 weeks. About a week later I was quoted a price but was told it may take a while as the repair guy was busy. I said it was fine, I could wait as the Tag Heuer service would take just as long. Fast forward about 5 weeks, I call into Rob. He has to check status and call me back. He tells me that my watch isn't ready so give it another couple of weeks. Fast forward again, I call Rob October 22nd. He tells me the watch hasn't been touched and the watch repair person is putting it off, because it is difficult to work with. In my head, I'm like What??? I'm willing to pay for a service, and wait extra long, and he tells me the watch repair guy hasn't even touched it yet. Wow!!! I tell him that I don't mind waiting, but are they going to fix it or not? He tells me he will send it to another guy. In my mind, I'm like, uhhhh is this other guy good? What kind of lame excuse is that???? I said okay, I'll wait so when do you think it will be ready. He said a couple of weeks. I wait a full month. Mind you I don't get follow up calls from Rob throughout this whole time. I have to initiate the call and see what it is going on. Each time I get some type of excuse. Finally, I call Wed before Thanksgiving. And I'm pissed asking for when my watch will be done. I've now waited 12 weeks for service. I tell him to return it if they haven't done the work. Well I get busy at work, and he leaves me a message that my watch will be done next week, he promises. I don't get back to him cause I'm busy at work. I try to call him on Friday, and he doesn't pick up. By the way Rob doesn't have voicemail so you can't leave a message to call you back. And finally today I get a call from the Vallejo office to pick up my watch. I go to pick up the watch and the guy at the counter tells me that the parts are on delay. And sorry we couldn't get the watch repaired. For those scoring at home on the exuses: 1. We are really busy 6 weeks. 2. Your watch is difficult to work on. I don't want to touch it. 3. I have to send it to the other watch repair guy. 4. Parts are delayed, so that is why it was delayed. Unreal. I really wish I could rate the work of the watch repair, but it never got that far. I mean my money is green, and I was willing to wait. If they didn't want to work on it they should of just told me so in the beginning and sent my watch back. Where do I start. If you have a cheap watch that needs a battery here's your spot. IF you have a watch of any value or importance don't even bother. I took two watches to have a battery replaced. The first one no problem because it was not a complicated movement. The second one well this when the wheels came off. After replacing the battery the digital display of the watch didn't work and the analog didn't work. She handed it to me as if it were fixed. When asked about it she said she didn't know how to set it. WTF! OK no worries the owner will be able. Well after a WEEK I called and I was told the owner took the watch from the store to work on it. Now this watch isn't made anymore and why would you take an expensive watch from the business. That's like a car dealership saying hey Jimmy took the car home to work on it. He has more tools there. After using very colorful language the watch was returned and guess what, fixed! Then to top it off I paid earlier for the watch repair and the woman said I hadn't. They were adamant that I hadn't paid. Well after showing the recepit for both watches they just handed me the watch with no apologies. It's obvious that their business sense is lacking and their watch repair skills are questionable. Needless to say, I will be taking all other timepieces to Walnut Creek. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone at AJR repair shop. I agreed to his price and started heading down to the his shop. As I got there the door was locked. I waited around for 5 mins.
