I explained the haircut I wanted but he either didn't understand or had his own ideas that he wanted to implement, which turned out to be a basic bob, for which I was charged $35 when the website says a women's haircut is $25. He used only a razor, not scissors, which I found strange and feel that I now have split ends. I asked that my bangs be cut eyebrow length straight across. He cut them parted, short and much shorter in the middle. The effect is that of a six year old who cut their own bangs. He was a nice person, though.

I get it from a business perspective but I really wanted a professional's opinion on what I was thinking for my hair. Love and Style On's website is initially what drew me in. They specifically have a "new client" page and I already knew I was going to be attended to the way I needed. I filled out the form, uploaded pictures - the whole shebang for a hair appointment - who knew?! When I walked into the studio for the first time, I immediately felt peace. The space is perfectly sized for just a couple of clients, and the perfect amount of energy and air to breathe and relax. Not too much busy-ness, and easy to focus on me and what I wanted. My initial consult, which led right into the color and styling, was so perfect. We went through pictures and colors that I was looking for and decided. I felt truly like I was just at home! Nikki and the other stylist there were so friendly and easy to talk to. I didn't feel like I was talking "just to talk" or fill in any awkward silence. I felt like the space I occupied was truly meant for me. The color results were exactly what I wanted. I'm a brunette and wanted a cut and color that was enough for someone to notice but not too much that people were going to call me a blonde. Nikki got the richness that I wanted. We scheduled a follow-up appointment for a touch up and when it got closer, I didn't really feel the need for more color but I wanted a fresh trim. There was no pressure to color when I didn't want to and my cut (as all do, I learned), came with a deep moisturizing treatment that left my hair so nice for the next week! I started getting my hair cut by Mary Kay (owner) when I was a wee baby : ) I do believe she gave me my first hair cut (good bye ringlets which never grew back but thats another story for another time). These women truly care about their customers and will remember everything you say to them and chat away when you come in again. Not only are they lovely lovely ladies they have recently revamped the studio and it looks gorgeous. Mary Kay and all the other ladies there do a great job with cuts, styling and any dye jobs. (my mom went to Mary Kay for close to 20 years and I've never spotted a grey on her : ) ) They also have a really nice selection of hair products available for purchase. Typically they have a jewelry selection or purse selection too! It always rotates which is a treat! They are located behind the Fairport Public Library so you can use the garage their for easy access parking.
