We have been going to Dr Reyes for the past 6 years and have always appreciated her insight on what to look for in regards to our kids teeth and what future steps were coming. Both my boys were thumb suckers so she would give feedback on the impact on that on their front teeth. We had our first visit during Covid times and appreciate the steps Dr Reyes and her staff went through. They call the week of to pre screen with questions, ask you to stay in the car until they are ready for you, take your temperature before being allowed in. Masks are required during appt and are only removed when they are actively doing something in the child's mouth. They also have the filtration system in the attached picture. They also got creative with the toys the kids pick post appt, they get tokens for the goodie machine upon checkout. After my boys picked up their toys, I saw someone promptly wipe down the machine. read more

It is important to me that my kids take good care of their teeth and are not afraid to go to the dentist, so I am very picky when it comes to picking a pediatric dentist. I was pretty tempted to keep our previous pediatric dentist but decided that it wouldn't be practical to drive to Castro Valley now that we live in Fremont, and in case of emergency it would be better to have our pediatric dentist accessible and in the area. I am very happy to have found Diana Reyes, who is wonderful with the children. She is kind, patient, and gentle with them and talks to them calmly. Our son fell and lost both of his only 2 teeths at 10 months old. After leaving the ER we were told to see a Pediatric Dentist regarding the matter. We gave the office a call and left a message and our call was return withing a timely manner. We were able to be seen the same day as first time parents we are concern with our sons health. We took our son to see Dr. Reyes for his first dentist appointment and was very pleased. She was friendly and calming, which helped make the visit go smooth. She did a great job of explaining what she was doing so he was aware of what was coming next. The rooms are equipped with TVs which helped keep him distracted while she worked. Dr. Reyes explained the current state of his teeth, things to keep an eye on, and things he is doing well. The office itself is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Love having Dr. Reyes as our childrens' dentist. She has such a gentle and patient manner with kids and adults alike. Receptionist also really kind and seemed quite comfortable interacting with my 3 and 5 yr old! Dr. Reyes and her staff are WONDERFUL. So welcoming, so clean, so patient. My girls have been coming here for the past 3 years. My oldest is 5 1/2 and I was referred here for a 2nd opinion. She had some stains that needed to be looked at by a pediatric dentist and that's how we ended up here. She needed 2 baby root canals, which I already had a feeling about. (We have banned grandma from giving her raisins and fruit snacks). Esther is the lovely face greeting you when you walk in and the sweetest when you call the office. She explains the possibilities when it comes to billing your insurance. They ensure to send you a postcard reminder of your upcoming appointments & they also call to confirm your appointment. Aside from everyone making me feel comfortable bringing my kids here, they ensure their little patients have the best experience. They can choose their toothbrush, choose a movie to watch during their visit in the chair, pick a little prize from the treasure chest at the end of their visit. Dr. Reyes has been seeing our son (now 2.5 yo) since he was 1 and we couldn't be any happier. There's a big train set table in the waiting room that he was able to play with so I think helps him relax before being seen. The setup in the back where the kids are actually seen is great - very clean, modern and makes you feel like you're at home. There are even individual TVs for each chair/ kid so they could watch their fave show while getting seen. My son is always a bit of a difficult one and it's hard to get him to sit still, but Dr. Reyes is always really patient and gentle with him. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that he is comfortable so he doesn't associate going to the dentist as a terrifying experience. Hands down, I definitely recommend Dr. Reyes to anyone looking for a trustworthy dentist that will take great care of your little one! read more

Our 20-month daughter would refuse and fight us whenever we tried to wipe down or brush her teeth, and it was such a struggle. We were really nervous about her first dental appointment cause we anticipated she would do the same with the dentist and it would be a disastrous first meeting. But Dr Reyes and her staff were amazing!!! Our daughter started off a bit apprehensive, but Dr Reyes sang songs for her and eventually she calmed down and allowed the dentist to look inside her mouth and clean her teeth. OK experience - I did not get the warm and caring feeling that others talked about, as a matter of fact, I feel that she was more about the $$$. Sure, she has to run a business, but still... When I decided to part ways with her office after 2 visits and asked for a copy of my children's dental record to avoid too many X Rays, Dr. Reyes asked me to PAY $$ for EACH CHILD for a copy of their record. In today's digital world, how difficult and time consuming is it really? I even offer to go in myself to pick up a copy! They told me I have signed a form and agreed to pay for this "service" when I register my children to see her. When I was trying to set up my new appointment with our new pediatric dentist, the receptionist paused when I told her who our previous dentist was and she told me that they have not been successful in the past with getting records from her office. So if you do decide to stay with 1 pediatric dentist forever, then maybe she is it for you. Otherwise, move on. read more

I decided to write my first dentist review ever on Yelp because I was so impressed by the way Dr. Reyes treated my three-year-old daughter. She had fallen on her face while we were visiting my sister-in-law's house for the weekend. Her two front teeth were loose and bloody, and you can imagine we were all in panic mode. Thank goodness for my sister-in-law, since we were hours away from home. She called her children's dentist, Dr. Reyes, and right away, over the phone, we were talking with the doctor. She coached us on what to do if the teeth came out, and within 20 minutes, my daughter was in her chair, getting help! My daughter had actually never had dental anesthetic before, but it was just incredible! Dr. Reyes had soothed my daughter and she went through the whole procedure--no fussing or crying. We were so grateful to have had such an amazing dentist help us. She even called us several times to make sure out little girl was doing OK. For follow-up, Dr. Reyes recommended we see a colleague of hers once we get home, but if it weren't for the distance, we'd be back in a heartbeat! Wish we could clone her! read more

Bummer that his clinic is not in our insurance network. I've called twice now-cancelled one appointment and then called back to reschedule based on coverage. Every time I've have called, Esther has exceeded my expectations! She is very professional, speaks clearly, is patient, and very helpful. Being an optician myself and dealing with patients and insurances, I am familiar with basic info required and the time that it takes to make calls and verify insurance. Esther was kind enough to check our plan, and when they were not in our network she went above and beyond by finding a dentist we could go to. She also provided me with their phone number and the number to our insurance should I have any further questions! When we age able to see this provider with our insurance, we will be there!
