Ahh the time has finally come where I begin to write my review of Dr. Luu's Orthodontics. Although, it may say I have 25 check-ins, I've actually been going here for quite some time, even before it was Dr. Luu's office. Previously it was under the direction of Dr. John Baccelli, who was a fabolous Dr, wno may no longer be with us, but will always be remembered in our hearts. It's a long story regarding with my braces, as I started my braces with Dr. Baccelli, for a long time when I was in Juior High, but once high school started, I got them off. However, according to my other dentist, Pointdexter and Chang, I needed to get braces again, as they should nto have been taken off in the first place. So here I am at Dr. Luu Orthodontics, in the same location and office here in Union City. The whole Orthodontics got a huge makeover. Apparently the previous Orthodontis that took over Baccelli, took everything with him and left, so when Dr. Luu bought the place, it was bare, so they just decided to remdel the whole entire office. The waterfall that use to be by the sinks, is now gone, the orange walls are gone, the disco ball that use to be in the waiting room is gone, the kid play area that was in the waiting room is gone, all the cabinets in the main room are gone, everything has changed. Even the cabinets where you would guess what flavor was being put in your mouth for a chance to win a quarter is gone haha. Now Dr. Luu on the other is very professional and such a great Dr. Him along with Nicole, the dental assistant and front office manager, make this office a warm and welcoming one, that has a friendly environment vibe. They both treat you as one of their own, they make you feel apart of their own family. Very sweet people. :) They are very flexible when it comes to payment plans, making appointments, and just everything in general. Oh and Nicole speaks Mandarin as well, so you can whip that out to help you even more! Perhaps to get a better deal on braces? Haha jk. Dr, Luu and Nicole don't pressure you into coming here and getting braces done with them, they are warm and welcoming to assisting any problems or questions you may have. I reccomend stopping on by for a consultation if you are in need of braces or dental treatment. Oh and if your wondering who Dr. Pointdexter (English speaking Doctor) and Dr. Chang (Cantonese Doctor; gwóngdùngwá yīsāng.) is from who I mentioned above in my review, they are my other dentist who I see every couple of months to get my teeth cleaned! They are just a few miles down the road from Dr. Luu's office, hit them up too if you need a dental office to clean your teeth! So overall, this place is great for all ages from kids to full blown adults. After many ortho consults I stumbled across Dr Luu's office via yelp and I am SO GLAD i went in for a consult. The office is very clean, nice & bright, with such positive energy! Dr Luu & Nicole are so personable and were such a joy to see. Dr Luu took a few pictures of my teeth, we reviewed the photos together & he very thoroughly explained a plan for my braces. Just got my braces here with Dr. Luu yesterday. Great orthodontist and friendly dental assistant. They were really nice and explained everything in details, gave me a bunch of samples to take care of my braces, and even a free water bottle, t-shirt and movie tickets! I was so happy for the added touches :) At night Dr. Luu even called to ask how I was doing, my I missed the call because I was at the movies enjoying the free tickets I got hahha. I was only a patient here beginning of the month, and I already love it! I would say that I made the best decision ever in coming to Dr. Luu. First of all, his office is very neat and clean. It makes a difference because cleanliness can do justice as a person. There's only 2 of them who works there, Dr. Luu and wife Nicole who does all the paperwork, front desk, billing, and everything else. Even though it's just them, they accommodate their patients in a timely manner. And at least, we only have them to talk to rather than dealing with other people. My first appointment was the consultation. I was referred by my regular dentist, and didn't even bother to shop around. During my first meeting with them, I knew right away that I won't regret going to their office. Dr. Lu told the treatment plan and I told him that I am getting married next year and hoping to get my braces off before my wedding day. He did not promise but he said that it will most likely be done before my wedding... The second meeting, I talked to Nicole most of the time in regards to billing and payments. She's very honest and told me what's the best for me. I even asked her if ceramics braces will make a huge time difference and she said no. She didn't want me to pay extra and would get the same effect. I just really like how honest and up front they are. You can really see that they take care of you from the very beginning. My 13 year daughter started out under Dr. Luu ' s care last year, and since then I've had to move clear across country in the middle of her treatment.
