I was referred to Farren at Board N Behave by a friend, and I'm so glad I reached out! From our…read morefirst call, Farren was professional, knowledgeable, and truly listened to my concerns. My Chinese Crested, Hooper, had previous training but was still struggling with reactivity and socialization. I appreciated that Farren didn't push an expensive board and train--she assessed Hooper personally and offered private sessions that fit my budget. After just one session, I already saw progress. Over five sessions, both Hooper and I were trained--because we all know training the human is just as important! A month later, I adopted another dog, Bodie, and brought both pups to Farren's daycare to continue Hooper's socialization. We also did additional public training sessions, which were incredibly helpful. Hooper is now more confident and manageable! Farren has also been working directly with Bodie, helping him learn basic obedience and improve his behavior--especially with things like staying safely in the car instead of bolting into the street. His progress has been amazing. Farren is not just a great trainer, but also understands dog behavior on a deeper level. Her facility is clean, organized, and I fully trust leaving my dogs in her care. I highly recommend Board N Behave for training, daycare, and/or boarding!

He weighs about 90lbs and struggles with reactivity (excitement and pulling when he sees other dogs/people) and he did not consistently obey commands (especially "heel"). Elaine was patient, consistent, and very communicative. She took the time to ask us what issues we wanted to focus on, and then was able to come up with a highly effective training on the spot. She was able to get him to follow commands that even surprised us (including getting him to "place" onto a picnic table). And by the end of the session, we walked him around and had zero issues with pulling or reactivity, even when there were dogs and kids nearby. It was impressive to see so much progress in such a short time. Throughout the process, she explained everything she was doing, including the specific steps AND the purpose. She answered ALL of my questions with thoughtful and kind responses. And throughout the whole experience, she was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend her.

Before training, Forrest was a very playful and excitable pup who struggled with focus and discipline. He was easily distracted, didn't consistently follow commands, and had trouble behaving appropriately around children and other dogs. After spending two weeks with Elaine, our amazing trainer, Forrest came home a completely transformed dog! He's now obedient, focused, and confident -- even in high-distraction environments like parks and public places. He mastered six core commands and continues to respond beautifully to them at home. Elaine truly is a "dog whisperer." She's local (Murrieta), which made drop-off and pickup super convenient, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated. We received daily videos and photos showing Forrest's progress -- we looked forward to them every day and loved watching his transformation in real time. We are so impressed with Elaine's skill, patience, and dedication. Forrest is still the same silly, lovable dog we adore, but now he's also well-mannered, obedient, and an absolute joy to be around. Thank you, Elaine and Off Leash K9, for giving us the best version of our pup!

5 stars! We've already completed our puppy Violet in a 2 week tailblazer off leash board & train…read moreand one still in progress with personal sessions and already very happy with progress. I searched for months not sure when or who to pull the trigger with for starting training, pored through reviews, some referrals on local groups that seemed a little too good to be true to trust, etc. One of my 'final' ones was going to be Epic but I was worried we'd just be a number there when we had a pretty complex situation. So I found Kona Loca, saw that Christienne was her own small business, had good reviews here but also under her name at her time at the previous place, and decided to go for it. I don't regret it at all!! Christienne is great! She's very friendly, explains behavior concepts very well, does not provide judgment, and she absolutely knows what she's doing. I wanted to stick with her for my very anxious/incredibly insecure rescue dog because she has her own dog with similar characteristics. I initially wanted board and train for both my dogs, but she assessed the insecure one and suggested personal 1:1 training at home and community that might be more effective. If she was all about just the $ she could've just agreed with my push to board and train and I really appreciated that. Our 1 year old pit/staffy puppy Violet (love her) was kind of a nightmare. Constantly aggravating our adult dogs, barking and patrolling, no manners in any sense, just some basic commands *sometimes*. She did the 2 week off leash tailblazer with Bert and we can't even believe she's the same dog. This may be obvious but we NEVER would've considered taking her somewhere like the park or beach even on leash before because she was a headache, and now we can walk her off leash and trust her! She has a working mentality now and it exhausts her every single day so she is generally calm and chill after we work with her (just small training sessions doing her commands in the yard). Bert was excellent and provided text, photo, and video updates everyday, he is very friendly as well and gave us a very in depth training session once she came back home. He also followed up to ensure things were going smoothly and to see if we had any questions. Highly recommend and have personal experience with both Bert and Christienne and will continue recommending!

Raymond's training program was very thorough & we are very grateful for this program. Our dog Koda was 10 months old when he started the training program he had aggressive tendencies & would always require being carried into his kennel at night time for bed. When it came to walking our dog that wasn't even an option he wouldn't let us put a leash on his neck. After the training program with Raymond for five weeks, we saw significant changes. We were actually able to take him on walks & put a leash on him. When given a command he walks into his kennel without any issues. We highly recommend Raymond's training program.

Don't Believe the False Facebook Posts - Epic Dog Academy Is the Real Deal…read more I need to share my experience because there's a lot of misinformation going around about Epic Dog Academy. If you've seen those Facebook posts linking them to animal abuse - please, don't believe them. I fell for those rumors myself at first, and I want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake. I had signed my dog, Obi-Wan, up for the two-week training program and was so excited. But right after I told a friend, she sent me a Facebook group filled with terrible claims about EDA. I panicked and immediately called to cancel. Vincent, the owner, was incredibly understanding and patient. He explained that all those claims were false and even showed me proof - including records exposing the people behind the posts as having serious legal and credibility issues, but even though I already paid and signed all the paperwork - he still immediately refunded me my payment to give me time to do additional research. This is something he could have pushed back on but didn't, which really showed me what a kind and understanding business this was. Even so, I made sure to do my own research before forming any opinions. What I found was truly alarming: the main individual behind that Facebook group has a documented history of serious issues, including animal cruelty charges (all public record). His daughter once briefly worked with Vince - the owner of Epic Dog Academy - many years ago at a completely separate business. Shortly after, Vince left to establish Epic Dog Academy with his wife, Olivia. To be clear, the two individuals who now run that Facebook group have no real connection to Epic Dog Academy. The false claims they're spreading about the owner are completely unfounded and unsupported by any evidence, plus most of the negative comments appear to come from people associated with them. Once I realized the truth, I re-enrolled Obi-Wan - this time in their day training program. I drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. It gave me total peace of mind to see him daily, and I can confidently say that not only is he perfectly fine - he's thriving. The results have been beyond my expectations. Obi-Wan listens better than ever, he's happier, and he actually gets excited to go every morning. Erin, his trainer, is absolutely phenomenal. She's patient, knowledgeable, and keeps me updated every day with photos and progress reports through their app. Christy at the front desk is another gem - her warmth and understanding make every drop-off and pick-up a breeze. Every single person I've interacted with at Epic Dog Academy truly loves what they do, and it shows. They treat every dog like their own. I can say with complete confidence that my dog is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible training here. Please do yourself a favor - don't let false online rumors stop you from giving EDA a chance. Check things out for yourself. I'm so glad I did, because Epic Dog Academy has completely transformed my dog's behavior and confidence. It's been worth every single penny (and I signed up for the Honor program!) I have given EDA permission to share my number with anyone who is hesitant to sign up. I'd be happy to share my experience with you if needed. -- Pictures of Obi-Wan were sent to me through the EDA app during his day training!

I was nervous and didn't know what to do, so I reached out to Epic Dog Academy. They scheduled a same-day consultation, which immediately made me feel supported. Sookie started the Honor Roll Program the following week. Throughout her training, her trainer Erin kept me consistently updated on Sookie's progress. Toward the end of the two weeks, Erin recommended keeping Sookie a little longer because she needed some extra help -- and I truly appreciated that honesty and care. If Epic Dog Academy didn't genuinely care, they could have easily sent her home, especially with the holidays coming up, but instead they did what was best for Sookie. I picked Sookie up about a week ago and, to be honest, I was nervous about bringing her home. Erin scheduled our in-home training session just three days after pickup, and even checked in with us after Sookie's first day home to see how we were doing. While Sookie had a solid grasp of her commands, we struggled with crate training at first. During our in-home session, Erin helped us work through those issues, and since then, crating has been easy and stress-free. Epic Dog Academy -- and especially Erin -- did an amazing job with Sookie. They've given her confidence, and she no longer panics when I leave. The attentiveness, support, and care they've shown toward both Sookie and me has meant so much. We truly couldn't have done this without them. I'm so grateful for Epic Dog Academy and look forward to continuing our journey with them. I know Sookie will only continue to improve and live her best life.

She had taken care of my dog and cat several years ago and when I hired her for a 3 week stay I was confident that they and my home would be well cared for. First, when I returned my home was filthy (despite the fact that I had housekeepers the week before) . The countertops in the kitchen was not clean, the floors (all laminate easily mopped) were stained and dirty, and her long hair was all over the floor in my bathroom (which she wasn't supposed to use). My housekeepers then advised that when they were there the living area was full of feces (pictures taken) -- much more than a small dog could have produced in several days. She was to administer an ear medicine on my dog and altho it appears she did, her ear was so greasy that the groomer had to cut quite bit of her beautiful long hair as it was too matted. Jennifer was to walk my dog 1-1.5 miles every day. After all this I decided to check my ring camera. At no time did she take her out for more than fifteen minutes. Impossible to walk that distance in the short period of time. No wonder the dog pooped in the house. The long haired cat was well groomed but that is the only positive thing I can say.
