Visiting the Cape for a week in August as I do every summer I had the unfortunate experience with…read moremy rimless eyeglasses - one of the lenses fell out because the thin plastic wire broke that holds in the lens. That was Sunday evening. I looked up optometrist on line and Dr. Neill Cowles practise came up. I called and left a message at 8 am Monday. I was really in need of a fast repair. At 9 am I was called back by Joanne and asked if 10 am was convenient to come to the office in Chatham. I said yes and showed up before 10 am. I met Joanne and I was told to take a seat. A few minutes later Dr. Cowles saw me in the waiting room. He took the glasses and came back in 10 minutes. The glasses were repaired. Saved the week! He handed them to me to say here they are. Have a good day. I thanked him and went to see Joanne to settle. Reintroducing myself again I learned there was no charge. I asked why and Joanne simply said no charge, have a nice day. 5 stars for service! Thank you.

Avoid Puzio Eyecare. They are more interested in maximizing their revenue than making sure you get…read moreproper glasses. I went there because my optometrist suddenly dropped our insurance. Puzio upgraded my lenses to premium lenses without discussing why or the cost. It doubled the cost of my glasses. The bill also had charges such as custom measurements. When I picked up my glasses they said are they tight enough and sent me on my way. After a few days I was still having trouble reading so I went back and got them adjusted. They still didn't work. The eye exam was done differently than I had experienced with in the past and I did not feel it was very good so I went to an optical practice I used before we moved here. Guess what! The prescription was wrong. Puzio did change the lenses to this prescription but I had to pay for that in addition to their overpriced glasses.

A month later The dr sent me a letter saying i was no longer welcome there. he never even asked ME what transpired! I dro v e to his other location in harwich. The girl there took my glasses and ran them under hot water. Fixed!! The problem was hairspray!! Lucky me. i switched to OCB and it was the best thing i ever did. Dr Puzio was so wrong on so many things he did for me. Cataract surgery for example. he said i wasn't ready. OCB asked why i waited so long and did it immediately. And i could see well again!

Terrible service!!! No respect for your time!!!…read more I had an appointment on 9/2/21. The scheduled ( key word) was for 11:00 A.M. I got there at 10:45 checked in. At 11:30, 45 mins waiting I went up to the desk and asked about how long will the exam take. I was told an hour. I said ok, when will the doctor be seeing me I have been waiting 45 mins. She said oh he won't be seeing you for another 90 mins because he's running late.... So basically I had an 11:00 A.M. appointment... I thought that's what appointments were for not a 1:00 pm a 11:00 A.M.!! I don't think they had one thought, or respect for my time at all. I had to get to work and couldn't stay. So I will not give these people my business!!

It got worse with the merger. Even with a solid appointment, wait times at the office are also very long. The last time I was there for an appointment my wait was over an hour.
