Worst service I have ever received. They clearly had no idea what they were doing -- and this is the week of my wedding! They broke multiple nails using a sharp tool, and it hurt so badly I was literally in tears for two hours. Then they put soft gel on my nails when I had specifically asked for hard gel -- and acted like I was the one who was confused. They didn't even know what hard gel was! Instead of taking accountability, they were rude, dismissive, and completely disrespectful. And to top it all off, they had the audacity to try and charge me. Absolutely unacceptable. i'm super heavy hearted to leave any negative review for the public to see. i really like diane and her husband and their operation in ladera. it was my first clip and dip appt with diane. the reason for my low review is i'm still quite upset and resentful that after SPECIFICALLY saying please do not trim the front of my hair (where some people have bangs i have none) literally at least 3 times diane cut bangs for me! i'm not even a picky person with my hair. but i looked her straight in the eye and asked, "diane why did you do that?" she basically said "i wanted to. see, i told you, you look cute with bangs!" i was stunned. i paid and left. what i'm still upset about is that bangs are actually my biggest pet peeve bc i can't tuck my hair behind my ears and it's in my face and eyes all day every day for at least a year now! not an eye roll--more like a hissssss from a cat. with the number of times i specifically asked her not to cut bangs for me, the smirk on her face when i asked why she did it and her response i can only assume it was intentional. not someone i would ever recommend. read more

I love coming here since it is a warm and friendly place. They do the best color, cut and blow out. Diane and Nang listen to what you want and make you look great. I also get a natural mani/pedi. Ever since I had a haircut here, I've had all of my friends ask me "what happened to your hair?!?!". I didn't even tell them I had a haircut, but they're all horrified by what has been done to my hair. My usual hairdresser charges $16 and does a fairly mediocre but sufficient job, so this time around I wanted to treat myself to a better haircut. A decision I will regret for the next two months while my hair grows out. I am seriously not anal about my hair, but this haircut was just so bad. I have such an easy haircut that I thought it would be impossible to mess it up, but the layers are so badly done, and I have bangs that look like a 3 year old went all maniac on them. BTW, the scalp "massage" was more like nails scraping the skin off your scalp...it was the worst hair wash/massage I've ever had. I would never ever ever ever ever go back. read more

I love coming here. Diane and Nang do a great job with my highlights, and they are efficient and friendly. They always seem to be able to fit me in. I've never gotten my nails done, but maybe I should add that to my visit too. I like to grab a glass of wine next door, then relax in the chair while they make me presentable. Ehh. I got a cut there and I swear the girl cut my THICK, LONG head of hair in 10 minutes. She raked the scissors across my hair so I hard I felt the hair pull. Didn't ask about how I wanted it styled and rushed. The guy who did the shampoo massage did an ok job, but used WAY too much pressure and never asked if it was ok. Not great, not terrible, just...eh. All my friends agree that his wash/massage is the best they have ever had. Diane is a master on color and cutting. I came to her when my hair was cut short. I was driving back to San Jose after my appointment with Diane extremely content with my 2 1/2 hr. visit when it occured to me that I shouldn't be so selfish with her place. I drive 40 minutes to get pampered there. Hair Color, High Lights, and Cut as well as manicure, pedicure. When I leave I feel I've had a day at the spa. Everyone is SO nice and warm as well as Good at what they do. I got compliments all night at work and a lot of attention from my husband when I got home. I Love Diane, her warnth and sincerity as well as her talent makes the trip more than worth it. An extra note... After my last haircut, I realize if I go to a fast paced $15.00 place, I will have the same outcome and a better service.
