A true hidden gem and my new go-to spot for regular mani/pedis all year long! There's a reason this place is always packed and every customer leaves happy and looks forward to coming back. Service is friendly, prompt and efficient, many polishes to choose from and prices are reasonable (insanely refreshing for the area!). This isn't a spa but if you're looking for a good mani/pedi this is THE place. Walked in for a pedicure on a Friday after being turned away from a salon a couple blocks away (see separate review for details). I was greeted with a friendly smile and got seated in a few minutes. Given how packed they were and the constant flow of customers (chairs are empty for minutes) I was surprised to get a walk-in. They also do services outdoors for overflow and based on customer preference. Got the regular pedicure and it was a complete service with nail and cuticle trimming, paraffin, hot stone massage and polish. Tien was wonderful and very detailed. The website says that a full set is $65+. This means that for basic nails it's $65 but with charms/hard designs it can cost more. I was charged $85 for a very simple set and the lady who did me rushed the work. The nails came out dirty looking and uneven. This is my second time there and the new lady I got didn't even clean my cuticles/cut them like how they did last time. Overall: They overcharged and did rushed work. My visit to Sky Nails was a regrettable experience. I am new to the area and needed a quick appointment but the service was critically flawed beginning with the unsanitary tools used for my pedicure which were visibly not sterilized. The technical quality was equally poor as my cuticles were not cleaned up correctly and the dipped nails were poorly shaped. Most frustratingly the dip on my right hand's middle finger broke the very same day while I was simply opening a drawer. Following this I sent an email to the contact address on their website to request a refund for the unsatisfactory procedure but Sky Nails has failed to respond. My 1st time here and it was random. I got a gel manicure done. They were busy but asked if doing my nails outside was ok and I said yes as the inside is small, packed and the smell of the nail products they use. I liked it outside way better as fresh air and cooler. The lady that did my nails, Emma was super nice and attentive. I will come back again. read more

Well, I can't say enough about Linda, at SKY NAILS. I have been going to Lind for both nails and toes, for over 15 years! I have followed Linda wherever she has gone, and now she is back at SKY NAILS. Linda takes her time, is a perfectionist (so, if you are one in a hurry, and don't really care about your nails, no need to specify Linda). But...if you enjoy beautiful nails, lasting nails, healthy nails, and a wonderful woman to work with, then you should ask for Linda. By the way... I am super picky, as you can likely tell, and yet, when Linda does my nails, they last 4 weeks, with only my natural nail outgrowth that needs a fill. Dropped in and was able to get in right away (it was Monday). Got a gel mani and it is super cute, picked a color and a separate glitter on top, they chatted with me about my nail length and future options to ensure my nail health, offered me green tea or water, extremely reasonable prices, $35 for the gel mani (they have a website so don't quote me on that in the future) and a great selection of colors. Super bummed about this place. I got my nails done a week ago, and paid 75 dollars for DIP GEL. I got 4 smiley faces, so I understand the nail art probably upped the price, but 75 for super simple smilies is kind of ridiculous. Anyways, that wasn't really the issue--it has only been one week and 1) one of my nails was grossly infected from the manicure and 2) the top coat is chipping off one of my nails already. I attached pics for both. I haven't gotten my nails done in over a year and was really looking forward to treating myself to nail art and getting back into nails. I won't be returning back to this place as they didn't even last 1 week. Such a bummer. I do NOT recommend this salon at all. I went there because I am new to the area and it was highly rated. I had dip powder applied to my nails and a regular polish pedicure. Emma did my nails. She was very rough with removing the dip that was applied there 3 weeks prior by Jenny -- it was painful as she pried it off each nail AND she charged $10. She broke several of my natural nails that I had been growing out for months. I've been doing dip powder for years, and no one has ever charged me for that service on top of the $65 dip application. Usually they soak it off for free with acetone. She also was very gossipy and called over a few other nail techs to look at how thick the dip was applied. She asked where I had it done, I told her here a few weeks ago. Also she was filing vigorously and I left with a few cuts around my nail beds. She kept pulling unsanitized tools out of her apron and using them on me. Now, the pedicure: polish chipped in one day on the side of the big toenail. I didn't do anything abnormal that would be abrasive to the polish. Never had that happen; usually toenail polish can last for months if you let it. They charged me $5 to remove the old gel I had on my toenails; never experienced that elsewhere. I'm very dissatisfied with the service. The positives are that they have a good polish selection, don't let you wait long past your appointment time, and have ample parking in the lots. This was the worst nail experience of my life. I usually don't write a review if it's negative because I know this this salon is someone's livelihood, but I had this service done a week ago and repeatedly had thoughts about how terrible of an experience it was pop up in my head, so I wanted to share. I oddly felt a little bit nauseated writing this review because of how much I paid and how poor the outcome was. TLDR: WAYYY overpriced, rude staff, painful experience, dirty tools. read more

I paid 100 dollars for dip nails no color with gel polish as recommended by Jenny that did many nails and I got a pedicure. The entire time the person working on my nails was adding thinner to the polish. Less than 24 hours later, 1 nail was already chipped and I had to return the next day to get it fixed which they repaired with no issues. However, I went out of town for a graduation ceremony and less than 1 week after getting my nails done at Sky Nails, Menlo Park, 50% of my nails were chipping as shown by the pictures. This really upset me because I had to find another salon while I was out of town to repair my nails. For the prices they charge they should not be using thinner to spread out the materials. This was my 3rd time using the shop but the worst experience thus far. I will not return. Run, do not walk away from this place! read more

I have been coming to Sky Nails for 18 years. They have been providing excellent service prior to COVID. They had to close with COVID. Once they were able to open, they were creative and made their own barriers to protect both the client and themselves for manicures and pedicures while following the strict CDC guidelines. They were all wearing gloves and masks. Now that everything had to transition outdoors, they have still been able to deliver great service with a smile too! Support your local small business please. Found this little shop on YELP and was not disappointed. It was 6:30... I called to see if they could take me and they said COME ON IN!
