I got my hair dyed for the first time professionally here last week...and OMG! I was blown away!! Chinine is a miracle worker!! I wanted a full hair transformation (shrimp pink/uneven blonde to chocolate brown) and she delivered! She was very thorough with asking what I was looking for as well as educating me on how the hair will fade and what the upkeep is. I saw Fifi for the first time in June 2025 and couldn't be happier. I've been searching for someone I could trust with natural-looking blonde highlights and a long layered cut--and she nailed it. I have gone to top salons in NYC, Boston, London, and this is one of my favorite cuts and color ever. Fifi is lovely, talented, careful, and really listens. I booked appointment with Lida then I was supposed to get hair cut. I was subjected to very rude behavior also involving Kim another hair stylist because Lida didn't know or have clue which brush to use to untangle one side of my hair. Kim said " You lucky she took you" and Lida was only complaining and embarrassed me. She said she would only charge me for hair cut sent me home to untangle my own hair . Unbelievable. Keeps on instead of working on my hair talking and complaining ( very jealous of my previous red hair) trying to be little me . I should not have paid her. I paid her cash for untangle 2 inch at bottom of my left side leaving the other side 2 inch right side on top for me to untangle with my method of using my fingers so I won't loose my hair. She didn't want to do it. I paid $45 for 1 hour one side working on 2 inch hair. I was mad. I didn't get hair cut and left to do my own hair. She was very humble rough. Made comment like " there is white stuff I looked at pictures it is gray hair. Very rude and was making fun of me because I was wearing straw hat to cover my bad hair because there was no sun. She didn't know how to adjust chair to wash my hair got water on my face. It seems she is not skilled to even cut hair. Yet there is hyped on Google about her. She charges $80 for hair cut. The salon itself is very lovely and chic, with a very comfy sitting area and a strong marble, glass, and brass/gold theme. There were only two stylists working when we were there (it was a Saturday), possibly on account of the pandemic, so I appreciate the precautions. Came into the salon for baby lights due to the fact that I struggle with lots of greys. My stylist Tania recommended baby lights and a hair cut. I usually struggle going lighter because my hair breaks easily or just feels dry and damaged, but I left amazed with the results. My hair feels very healthy and I love how the baby lights give my hair dimension. The atmosphere at the salon is very welcoming, and the staff is very friendly. I had not gotten highlights done in over 6 years and I am very meticulous about my hair care routine so I was a little apprehensive at first, however my overall experience and results turned out really well! When I walked in the salon, I was warmly greeted my stylist Aliyah. She may be new, but she has phenomenal talent and certainly did not disappoint! Throughout the whole experience, Aliyah was kind and assuring, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I absolutely love how personable she is, as we had great conversations throughout the whole process. I even learned some great hair care tips from her that I definitely am going to use in the future. I had an appointment with Frieda at Salon Cozzolino for 12/22/23. I asked her to approach hair color with more care and in a two step process because the last time she highlighted my hair (11/30/23, pic attached) my roots looked grown out as if it had been 6 weeks since my last highlight. Frieda got offended & canceled my hair appointment 4 days prior to my appointment. This made it impossible for me to find another appointment due to the holiday. What you can't see in the picture is how red my hair turned and that is because Frieda doesn't understand color chemistry.
