I contacted Dican Electric to put in a 240v outlet as we were adding an electric cooktop. Daniel was prompt, professional, and friendly. He listened to my concerns and was able to get the wires discreetly through the attic rather than a big ugly conduit on the outside of the home. 2 other electricians said it couldn't be done, but Daniel not only did it, but he was quick and the quality is spot on. His pricing was on par with others, maybe even slightly cheaper, but by not requiring us to get the conduit he saved us quite a bit of money. Here's another great review of Daniel's work. He upgraded my old Zinsco 100 amp panel to a modern 200 amp service. The coordination between SMUD engineering and the Sac. County inspectors was perfect. The whole job was done in a day and I'm thrilled with the results. The other project involved installing a 100 amp sub panel in my garage, and putting in a 50 amp outlet for future EV charging. Both projects were completed in an organized fashion. This is my 3rd and last review of the day! We've used this company on 2 different occasions in the past and each time we have only positive experiences about them. The tech that came out Dan was on time and very courteous. He called us 1-2 hours each time before he showed up and his professionalism is unmatchable. Great value and impeccable workmanship. I was looking to place six recessed lights so I can play some ping pong. After getting a few quotes, I called Dican Electric. Unlike others who didn't return my calls until days later with a half hearted and very generalized estimate with wiggle rooms, Mr. Dican picked up the phone himself and came the same day for an in depth discussion. The next morning I received the precise estimate by email and I was sold. He came at the appointed time and finished the work the same day. The workmanship is like nothing I have seen before. He gave me a precise outline of the light placements and used laser sights even on my two story high ceiling. He installed 6X 5000 Lumens LED with a smart switch. The estimate was honored despite the difficulties with the switch placement. Now the room is brighter than daylight and I can play ping pong all night. Going by reviews online, this company looks like they are really good and I wish I could of used their service. I don't like giving 3 stars as the company did not do the work or quote etc. This 3 stars is purely based on communication and try get a quote, I did not want to give a lower ranking as this would be unfair. Daniel and his father came to my home to install 9 recessed lights on two runs, and an exhaust fan. They arrived spot on time, were polite, professional and considerate. I used Dican Electric to replace a ceiling fan and to add recess lighting ( about 19 recess lights) in my home. Dican was extremely professional right from the get-go. He was on time for the appointment to give me a quote. He was very thorough in understanding the issues and also to explain the cost and the options available to get my project started. His quote was very reasonable and I just thought he was the best fit for the project. During the couple of days that he worked in my home, i was very comfortable with the pace and the quality of work being done. He did an extremely good job and it just exceeded all my expectations. He was very punctual and always cleaned up before he left for the day, This way we did not have to alter our dinner plans and we had the kitchen available in the evening even though he had worked in the kitchen the same day. Same as some of the other callers. No response to voice messages. On Wednesday I left a voicemail, they were closed, so I knew that someone would call Thursday. By Thursday afternoon nobody had called so my mom called and left a message. Friday, still no call back, so my mom puts a review on Facebook and they resolved to that saying the answering machine was full and nobody was able to leave a message, he was sorry she couldn't talk to them. Clearly he didn't check his answering machine. After she replied that she left a message, he replied back that they are so, so busy they can't get to their phone calls as often as they would like and if my mother needed help sooner , then she should contact someone else. We did, they answered on the third ring, helped us over the phone and were very polite. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. read more
