We've purchased here multiple times. Incredible selection of so many gorgeous fans and lighting, options range from reasonably affordable to very high end. We've have purchased 4 fans and lights. All are gorgeous. When we had one that didn't work upon install, we had no issue returning it and ordering a replacement. Karen has helped us every time ... she's great. Everyone else we've talked to there whether over the phone or in person is top notch, friendly, and all about great service. We were referred to Hobrecht by our contractor, but unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing. After purchasing lights for our home, we were unhappy with how they looked and immediately reached out to our salesperson, Renata. The receipt clearly states that opened items can be returned with a 30% restocking fee. I told Renata I was fine with paying that fee, but she refused to process the return. On top of these issues, one of the lights we received arrived damaged. When I reached out to Renata to report this, her response was: "unfortunately the company prioritizes new orders coming in and your damaged order could take weeks to replace." When I explained my frustration that a broken item was not being treated as a priority and is a NEW order, she replied: "what's the rush to have this replaced so soon?" It's broken and I paid for it. This is a shocking way to treat a customer--minimizing the problem and dismissing the need for timely resolution. It's another clear example of the lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction at this company. At the same time, we had a separate order for ceiling fans. Given how poorly the lights situation was handled, we decided to cancel the fans before they shipped. Once again, Renata told us cancellation was not possible. When I escalated the matter to the manager, Anthony, he was unaware of the initial issue with the lights and did not offer any solution for that situation or the ceiling fans order. Instead, he told us we would need to pay $200 shipping to his store in order to avoid being charged the full amount for the fans--fans we never received. We later found the exact same fans at Lowe's for a much lower price. This company's approach to returns and cancellations feels misleading and unprofessional. They do not honor the policies stated on their own receipts, and communication between staff and management is poor. I strongly recommend thinking twice before making a large purchase here, as they are unwilling to work with customers on reasonable solutions. read more

My husband and I bought all of the lighting for our new house from Hobrecht. Everyone who comes in the house notices our light fixtures first. It can be tempting to purchase online especially if you find a cheaper price. We have no regrets on using Hobrecht! We saw all of the lighting in person and knew it was the best quality. Hobrecht also makes sure you have the correct tech to install the lighting. Very few lighting techs have the skills to install the higher end light fixtures. Arturo did all of the installation and was absolutely wonderful to work with. He operates at a high caliber and has the eye of a designer. None of this would have been possible without purchasing from Hobrecht. Later we decided to change the positioning of one of our chandeliers and Hobrecht was happy to take it back and adjust it. 5 STARS, I had some issues with some low voltage lighting. I searched and had many people come out and try to repair. I went in today and talked to Eric and Kendall. All I can say is WOW. They are absolutely great. Kendall was very helpful and Eric was wonderful he walked me through everything and was very knowledgeable. Didn't make me feel rushed or like I was bothering him. He was fabulous with follow up in checking stock and calling me back. I had a great experience at purchase and even had to call in and go back a few times for Downrod size changes. Each time I called or was in the store I was pleased with the interactions I had. Some of the other staff on the floor were not super attentive to customers walking the floor but that can be a good thing as some furniture stores have staff that stalk you and pressure you. Lots of lighting choices. That was nice. However, if something goes wrong, the response is not great. Many promises for call backs that almost never came-- we had to pursue a missing part for almost two months. It was at holiday time, so maybe that was part of the problem. Each time we called it was like a new request. Lovely people, just need to work on their follow through. The final out come was acceptable. They had to find a part that would fit as the product had been discontinued. They even painted it for us. Eventually it all worked out. read more

I was in Hobrecht's about 9 months ago. No one looked up or spoke to me the entire 20 minutes I was in the store. I swore I wouldn't go back... I did some online research and found that Hobrecht's was the only store that carried what I was looking for. I went back, with more than a few doubts, that someone would help me. Imagine my surprise when I was greeted by a friendly face with a warm smile! Her name was Joanne Wise and she was WONDERFUL!! Very informed!! She took the time to make sure I understood the functionality of this chandelier and it's components. I had pictures of my space. For that reason we visited Hobrecht lighting store and it didn't disappoint - while it didn't have everything we were looking for, they had a lot of things that we had liked online. Went to Hobrecht Lighting looking for ceiling pendant lights. Wasn't optimistic I could find anything in my price range but after only a few minutes of looking I found the perfect pendant light at a very affordable price. Karen Hunter, Eric and Anthony helped me determine how many were needed for the space, got them ordered quickly and let me know immediately when they were ready for pick up. I had originally thought I needed 3 and they recommended only 2 because of the large size, however they still ordered 3 to accommodate me with the guarantee I could return 1 if needed. Of course they were right.....I only needed 2 but after seeing how fabulous the pendants were I kept the 3rd light and asked if they could convert the pendant to a swag lamp. They did the conversion for an additional fee but the results were spectacular and so worth it! I now have a swag lamp that hangs in my great room that is next to my large kitchen island with the pendants above!
