Quick, quiet, friendly, tasty, healthy! It was 2 p.m. on a Sunday and after a workout followed by a manicure, I realized I hadn't eaten anything yet! Because I've been trying to prioritize protein and by this point I was absolutely famished, I wanted something that would be all of the things I mentioned when I opened this review, alas Diced was luckily right next to my nail salon. I'm sure Diced has peak hours where they're busy but when I came in it was deliciously quiet. As I stood at the counter, the gentleman who took my order helped me by explaining their three most popular bowls and suggesting their best sauces. I love that they allow you to add all the fresh toppings you'd like for one set price! No nitpicking about every little thing. The portion size is decent, and the service is always polite. You can also choose your own meat, and yes, they do have veggie/vegan options. I chose to make a bowl. My bowl came with so much food! Plus, it came out hot, which I liked a lot. It was delicious and the chicken tasted fresh. They are also very generous with the toppings which made me very happy and content. The service was fast. I waited less than 10 minutes. My daughters bowl had brown avocados that were $1.50 extra & is brown I wanted to return it, but my daughter insisted to just leave it not wanting to make a fuss. I've had diced a couple of times and must admit that I don't enjoy this kind of bowl combination. However, with my personal taste buds out of the way, the ingredients that are used at Diced are extremely fresh and the chicken, beans, rice and quinoa are very well prepared. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Their sauces are delicious, muy favorite is the guava sauce. The decor is light and breezy, the cleanliness is impeccable. I wish we had somewhere like this closer to home! The concept is simple - you choose your base (lettuce or rice or both), your protein, and essentially build your own salad or bowl. The girl at the register was super friendly and informative. Since we hadn't been here before, she walked us through the whole process which we really appreciated. I got a salad with lettuce and spinach, rice, steak, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and cilantro and garlic sauce. We got our orders to go and then got stuck in traffic for forty minutes on the way back to our hotel. My salad was good but my biggest complaint is that the dressing was put on top of my salad on a to go order. I made the mistake of assuming that dressing for a to go order would automatically be on the side, but I was incorrect, and this resulted in some of my salad becoming soggy from the dressing. Please put dressings on sides for to go orders, it makes so much more sense! My only other complaint is that the dressings in general are all really mild and I'd have appreciated a bit more flavor or spice. The fact that they are open until 11 pm helps in this aspect. Just as the name indicates, their veggies are diced: cut into small, evenly sized pieces. This makes every bite equal, so you don't have to pick around to even out your bites. To make your own salad (or wrap or bowl), you pick a meat (or just go for the veggie option), veggies, cheese, beans, and a dressing. They use their own recipe for dressings and they're quite good. For several of them, they also have vegan option which is really nice. The tuna option is a tuna salad, not seared tuna. When I had this once, it wasn't what I expected, but it was still good. The location is very clean, has compostable containers and silverware, and sorts their recycling. If you come frequently, make sure you get the digital punch card so you can get a free item after several purchases. read more

A very solid and wholesome lunch spot, although you can come outside of lunch of course. They pride themselves on being "Quick healthy food" which is very true! Whenever I am craving something filling, delicious, but not so heavy, this is where I go! The menu is set that you build your meal by picking your ingredients every time, and I truly love that about them - I can really satisfy my cravings. There is the option between salad, bowl, or wrap. They are veggie friendly offering a vegan chicken option or just pure veggies if you are into that. I typically either do the chili chicken or tuna, but I do think the chili chicken is more of a people-pleaser. Regardless, I'm sure whatever concoction you think up will taste amazing. There are plenty of other toppings to add but the best part are the sauces!!! I put the trio every time which is garlic cilantro, spicy guava, and tomato basil. I recommend doing that with whatever you order, unless you aren't into sweet sauces then I would hold off on the spicy guava. But really that is what brings the dish together. The portions are quite generous, I don't think I have ever finished a bowl or my whole wrap. But if you're someone with a big appetite then you'll be very satisfied with your meal. I stopped by DICED on my way home from the gym today. I was starving and desperate but I wanted to eat something really good. I've heard of DICED before, and I knew automatically when it appeared on my Yelp search after the gym - that it's where I had to go for lunch. It's in the shopping plaza right across from MDC. There's some construction going on so I'm sure parking can get tricky during peak hours - but for me today, it wasn't bad at all. The ambiance was great. A very clean and earthy kind of vibe. I loved the simple decor. Lucky for me it wasn't so packed so I got a booth all to myself. This place is like a much more awesome and updated version of Chicken Kitchen to me. I opted for a Veggie Bowl. You can add whatever toppings you like and sauces as well. The garlic pesto cilantro sauce was AMAZING. When they brought me my food, I was kind of like, "Ok, I just paid $10 and there's no way this is going to fill me up....". But I was wrong. It was not only delicious but I was so full.
