There are animals to visit and a small store with eggs, honey, produce, pasture-raised chicken, other local foods, fresh-cut flowers, and various books, clothing, and merchandise. For our event, they put up a huge tent, so we had breezy shaded dining. This was next to another covered structure, for a breezy shaded dance-floor. And there was a food-truck bar as well. In all, a clever use of their space for a fun comfortable event. We had access to their farm for self-tours, and i think there were guided tours and feedings, too, but we walked ourselves among and petted and brushed and fed the humped mini "zebu" steer, non-wooly Katahdin sheep, goats, mini horses, a mini donkey, mules, about six of rabbits of different kinds, and chickens. And beehives! We were there for a special event. The Gorman Heritage Farm is open to the public Mon-Sat for under $8 per person. Come see fun farm animals and products!

And if the fear they all showed when the phone would ring was any indication of what type of boss he is, of course they won't interrupt him to tell him they're with a customer. He called almost every time we were in the building, I'm sure he wants to make sure things are running smoothly, but dang the whole place freezes in fear when the phone rings. On another note you all should do cabins and expand a bit. Take a look at Waco Surf in Waco. We've stayed in their cabin and it was a lot of fun.

I went with 2…read morefriends to try the knee boarding, it was first of all a very cheap day. $25 got us a generous 2 hours (20 minutes were added on as well for free) on the cable. The $25 was all inclusive of life jackets, cable ticket, board, and helmet. There are plenty of obstacles and trick equipment in the wake oval for you to try if you're up for it. I didn't fall off at all, but if you do, a potentially long walk awaits you to get back to the launch station. NOTE: Beginners should have good core and upper body strength. Some friends had trouble staying on the tow line due to the speed and jerky turns. I lift weights daily and do advanced hot yoga which really helped. You will get tired and need to take breaks too, they have a nice patio area for that. All in all, I'll be back and up for trying full wakeboarding next time. It's a cheap, fun (if you can stay up/hang on), and unique experience!

I took my daughter in the summer of '12. She loved it, but I have issues: Parents never got to…read moremeet the "floor counselor" at the dorm, and my daughter was never even sure who it was. I expected a better adult presence on a floor of 'tween girls (going into 7th grade). 2. When I went to take a peek at her participating in drills, I saw her station's "coach" looking everywhere but at the girls. He never once stopped to correct any of them or re-teach the drill, and several girls needed correction. I'm guessing he was a girl's dad who signed on to "coach" at the camp in exchange for a free or reduced rate for his daughter. I peeked in at other stations and saw similar situations. The drill is announced over a loud speaker, there is a demonstration of one or two reps, and then the kids go through the drill, without any input from the station coach. For close to $500, I expected more "coach" involvement and at least a little bit of coach input at the stations. If I felt that my daughter actually got something out of the camp, I would not hesitate to send her again. That is not the case. I will look for other camps this summer. You would do well to do the same.

We absolutely love Old Stone Riding Center…read more Our daughter has taken riding lessons here, attended multiple summer camps, and learned so much along the way--not just about riding, but about horsemanship and what it truly means to be an equestrian. What sets Old Stone apart is the emphasis on learning all aspects of caring for and working with horses, which we deeply value as parents. The community is incredible. The trainers, students, and boarders are all welcoming, supportive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It feels like a family, not just a riding center. We truly can't say enough good things about this place. From the instruction to the atmosphere, everything has been a wonderful experience for our daughter--and for us. Highly, highly recommend!

Dog boarding: -Our dogs were not crated together, as…read morerequested. -Only about half of their food was used- this tells us that either they were too petrified to eat, weren't fed the correct food, or weren't fed the correct amount as requested in their paperwork. -Most alarmingly, one of our dog's elbows are covered in swollen wounds. We had to take him to the vet straight from pickup and they could not believe the side of his wounds. When asking the owner about the wound, the response we received was "well that happens, the good news is that it isn't deep" She later told us that she hadn't seen it because he was scared and barking at her, but he has white fur and his bleeding elbows were very apparent. -Both dogs were absolutely caked in dirt when we came to pick them up and were surrounded by fleas. We had to take them straight to the vet for their medication and hose them off, giving them a bath before bringing them into our house. -We also requested that the dogs have beds placed in their crates when dropped them off. When we came to pick them up there were no beds, only a wet concrete floor which could have contributed to our dog's bloody elbows. -We had to take our dog to urgent card two days later because he developed an infection and fever from the wounds he obtained at this facility. Our dogs were not given the basic care that all animals deserve. All of these complaints were shared directly with the owner. We were given half-hearted excuses for all of these. We didn't even get a response until our credit card company reached out for a refund. We were only given half of our money back and our messages continue to be ignored.
