Best carry out fried chicken in the area. Got an eight piece with two of each piece and ordered one more thigh. Got three sides: pickled beets (I love them and am the only one in the house who eats them), potato salad (delicious), and banana pudding (my husband and daughter LOVED it). Service was fast and with a smile. I called ahead and it was ready right on time. This is a great option on an evening where one feels like taking the night off. You can also take a walk at the nearby Monacacy Aquaduct before picking up.

Wasn't too far from Dickerson's Market, so decided to grab some of their fried chicken that many people in the area rave about. It's located in a gas station, so can't be bad, right?! Dickerson Market didn't disappoint! Ordered a 12 piece bucket ($21.99), bacon cheeseburger special (which came with fries and a fountain drink), two slices of pizza for the little ones, and grabbed macaroni salad and coleslaw from the fridge. Luckily they just finished cooking a batch of chicken, otherwise my order would have taken an additional 20 minutes (order ahead if you can!). The burger took a little bit of time, but wasn't too bad. The 12 piece bucket came with a mix of chicken breast, thighs, and legs. It was cooked well, not oily, crispy, and super juicy. Dickerson Market definitely gives the Amish market (which isn't too far away) a good run for their money when it comes to fried chicken! I also tried some of the bacon cheeseburger, which was good, but on the smaller side. Definitely don't expect a big, meaty burger here! Fries were good, but pretty standard. Didn't get a chance to try the pizza because C & N finished their slices by the time we got home, but I'm assuming that's a good thing! Service was friendly, with the cashier not rushing me as I was deciding what to order. Since this Dickerson is located inside of a gas station, there is also a mini market available (snacks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages). Parking is available right outside the market, but there's only a few spots available. This could possibly be an issue with the post office is open. If you are in the area and craving fried chicken, highly suggest checking out Dickerson Market.

Eating fried chicken in the car at Dickerson Market.

The fried chicken at Dickerson Market, at least the thighs that we had, is as great as I've been hearing for years! Sure, the market doesn't have much in the way of vegetables, but that wasn't why we finally stopped there during a leisurely drive up route 28 that included little 30mph (watch your speed!) Dickerson. We were there for their justifiably famous chicken. The thighs were crisp and so juicy even though we got them from the warmer, so I can only imagine how they'll be when we order ahead next time. The first bite gave a delicious hit of salty (but not too salty) chicken juice that threatened to run down our hands in the car where we were eating since there is no seating in the market, so we'll be sure to have plenty of napkins the next time we're in Dickerson. Oh yeah, great service from nice people.

Hidden gem with amazing fried chicken if you're in the area. Crispy chicken, flavorful skin, not dry and pretty fresh. The sides were decent but the star here is the chicken - will definitely stop by next time/every time I'm in the area

I ordered chicken for lunch and an 8 piece to go. The chicken was delicious, hot, fresh, juicy and crispy. It lives up to the hype.

The nachos and breakfast burrito options are phenomenal. All the food is just insanely good dude. Filling co is so much more than just a gas station and im glad people are seeing that. The cooks at fillingco are angels sent down to make hungover people the best food they've ever tasted and i love them dearly for it.

The Food: I got the Original Cheesesteak here, with Cooper Sharp White cheese. Had just the basic grilled onions and cheese, just to get a nice baseline. The cheesesteak was surprisingly really good! The meat was tender, the cheese was mixed in very well and melted nicely. The hoagie roll was good too, it had a nice firmness that kept the structure of the cheesesteak. Highly recommend giving it a try. My friend also got the Chicken Cesar Wrap and it was pretty packed full, but just a little salty. The Service: You order through the kiosks they have at the front. There is a big menu with a widespread of food, so happy pickings! The food came out fairly fast too, so that was nice. For gas station food, this place was on point. Highly recommend giving this place a try! 5/5

The sign says it's the best sandwich in Etchinson. It's very likely that this is the only sandwich…read moreplace joint in Etchinson. Is it still good? Yes, even without a town full of other sandwich shops to compare it to. I was craving a sub for no apparent reason while we were on a drive trying to get my crackhead toddler to sleep and ended up here. We parked in the parking lot and the signs told us back door only (that's what she said), so we went into this tiny store, located off a rural Road. The store is straight out of the 60s, sells mostly snacks, alcohol, and snack cakes, but does have a deli. They also have spiced shrimp fried chicken and breakfast. A super nice older lady is at the counter to take your order and we went with a turkey sub and some potato salad. She then shouts the order to what I'm assuming is her husband in the back. The order was prepared in no time flat. The sandwich was actually pretty good with the softest bread. I've had in a while and lots and lots of filling. I don't know how to describe it but honestly, it's like the best homemade sandwich ever. The potato salad was pretty unique and it came with celery, which is new for me. Nice and crunchy. Etchinson doesn't need any other delis, this one is definitely the best. Despite the retro vibes, we did ask if they took Apple Pay and the lady behind the counter responded with yeah baby. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop by especially since two chimneys cidery is right in the neighborhood across the street.

They have all the basics you can expect from a country/beer store, BUT ...very limited selections. And with additional hot food items, and tables people can hang around at. There are TV for sports.
