I had the godfather Italian sub. It gets good reviews so I had to try it. It was pretty good and well balanced. But for $19 after tax? It must be because of the high lease, insurance, and other expenses to do business here to survive. Try it once but that's enough. read more

Their deli and food is fantastic. They're tired cold cuts are awesome pizza great food they're steak and cheese cheeseburgers. I can go on the service is fantastic in there. The beer is very cold. Wide selection on their wines unfortunately, there's no place to really sit. They do have small bars in there, but you can sit up there and eat.if I'm in the area in Rockville Maryland. TD is a hidden gem, #IYKYK So on Friday my co-workers were craving deli type of lunch, I was all down however, I wanted to expand my curiosity, and try something else. Big mistake.. I know their Italian cold cut sub is the best, I had it so many times... with all the works. Its so good. Better than Jersey Mike's. Yeah its that good, better than some NYC delis! For their meats they use real good quality stuff, not the cheap stuff like at Subway. I decided to try their chicken salad sub, there was no pics or reviews on this. I took a risk. And I was hungry, and had nothing pack for lunch. My coworkers who are sandwich snobs were like, Shells your getting that??! As if I was ordering a moon cake or something horrendous. I was like yeah. I was expecting it to be gourmet type like Full On CAFE like in Olney. Big mistake!! I got it, and not one fixings was on it, it looked like it had been scooped out of some bucket that came from Subway. It looked sad. I bit into, and it was dry. The texture and all was not sitting well for me. I took 2 bites and I was done. Never again. It wasn't even seasoned or had any toppings. The mixture was so dry. However, I'm not knocking them down in my review. , they have good employees and good food, just their chicken salad sub needs to be retired or revamp. Take notes from Full ON cafe. For my future visits, I'll stick to my Italian cold cut sub, and I'll listen next time when my co workers are trying to warm. I came across this place on Yelp a while ago and bookmarked it as a place I wanted to try. I finally had the opportunity to try it out and it did not disappoint. I ordered the large cold cut sandwich and it was humungous! I ordered my toppings and it tasted pretty dang good, haha. The location is inside a liquor store, but I just got a coke instead. There are a ton of other options and they accept credit cards, but there's an extra 3% charge if you decide to do that. Otherwise, just pay in cash instead. This is more of a 2.5 for me. My veggie sub was good. My kid said his steak and cheese (without cheese) was good. He got the onion rings which I thought were just OK. There's very little seating. The service was good. I guess the reason for my rating is that I think it's expensive for the quality. I could probably get as good a sub at a grocery store. Also I don't think it's cool to penalize someone for using a credit card these days. I understand having a minimum for the credit card, but charging 3% across the board is one. read more

I tried Twinbrook Deli for the first time today, as we had always gone to Marchones (Filippo's now) for Italian-style subs. I gotta say I was pretty impressed. The sandwich (Godfather) was large and flavorful, and came packed with meat and other goodies. The one thing I wasn't totally sold on was the bread. You know what you miss when you're a preggo eggo? Everything you CAN'T have! You know deli meat, sushi, soft cheeses etc. Anywho,I have been waiting to have a good deli sammich and Twinbrook deli did not disappoint. Located in a strip mall it is fairly easy to spot from the road, near a local library. The interior is more liquor store than deli as that is what they primarily serve. I called in my order and was told it would be ready within 15 minutes. You got there in about 10 and they were waiting for me. Upon first glance, I was in heaven and I got the small. Lovely size of sammich stuffed to perfection with the freshest of the freshest ingredients. The bread was crazy fresh as was the meats and the accoutrements. The price point in my opinion was fair for what you got. Here is my issue, my orders were wrong. I HATE Mayo and despite not asking for it on my sammich it somehow ended up on it, so much that I was only able to eat some of the sammich before having to switch out the bread and some of the ham. Another sammich I asked for light Mayo and it had extra. I'm thinking there may have been a language barrier. It was good enough that I will try again when I'm in the area and double check before I leave. read more

I grew up in MoCo and lived around the corner from this little gem for few years in the 80's. I have the fondest memory about this place... the second that you walk in, you get that intoxicating aroma of the Italian Cold Cut. It is still the case today. They have the BEST Italian Cold Cut in my humble opinion. The sub roll is completely on point and the large is giangantic. There is a good amount of meat. And of course you have to get everything on it. It's one of those things that you just have to try for yourself. For my picky eater at home, he got a turkey, swiss cheese and bacon. They definitely did not skimmed on the bacon. We also got a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was solid. I don't even know where to begin with my dissatisfaction. First let me say that since they got a new owner I had THOUGHT the customer service had improved tremendously. I had THOUGHT that the overall energy in the store was better. After today's incident I will have to say I will NEVER buy anything from this establishment again. I am on my break for lunch and since I was in the area I decided to stop by to get some Italian cold cuts, chips and drinks for my partner and I. One of the employees is ringing me up and I noticed a charge that looked odd to me , so like any other person I asked about it. He told me that he rang up the chips and soda together. Which was odd to me because the other pair of chips and drinks he rang up separately. Nonetheless once he explained that to me , I understood and vocalized that to him. Instead of moving forward with processing my payment he continued to try to explain to me the charges. At this point it was weird because I have already said that I understand and was ready to move on. He tried bringing another employee into the conversation, which again was weird because I already said that I understood what he was saying and just wanted to pay in leave at that point which I made clear to him. I guess the owner overheard and instead of questioning why his employee was ringing up the items like that he verbally attacked me and told me I should have some "courtesy" . I was never rude or disrespectful to the cashier, so it was crazy to me that I was being treated as if I was the problem when the cashier was the one who was ringing up the items inaccurately. I left the receipt for proof , like why charge one drink and chips separately but not the other..... I never have experienced anything like that anywhere. I will NEVER go back. Twinbrook Deli has been a beloved local institution for decades. To wit: years ago, I was in a small tap room in Purcellville, VA, and when I said I lived in Rockville, another patron lit up, said he grew up there, and the first place he mentioned (with a joyful wistfulness) was Twinbrook Deli and their Cold Cut sub, which he still got anytime he was nearby. That cold cut sub is a thing of beauty. Enormous in the small size and almost eating-competition big in the large, served on a fresh, soft, lightly sweet roll with a ton of toppings (including a generous amount of dressing/oil), it's everything you're hoping to get in a sub/hoagie/grinder but rarely do. They have a bunch of other sandwiches, pizza, and a grill as well, and at some point I'll get to those. Nice local beer selection in here as well - glad to see some Black Flag, Jailbreak, and other MD breweries represented. Staff are incredibly friendly and super quick, too. read more

Efficient and no-nonsense, this spot makes traditional sandwiches that I grew up with; there's nothing here that is super wacky or chasing a trend. The sammies are generous. I can't finish an 8" one, much less a 12". The bread for the subs, while fresh, is a bit too soft for me. I'm not in love with their special sauce, but folks rave about it. I order mine without it. Their homemade sides are respectable. The potato salad is an old school recipe, and tasty. There is not much of a space to "eat-in", just a small counter. Place has changed a lot since I was last here. The Italian sub was just how I remembered it. Fresh bread, lots of meat and toppings

In a seemingly plain strip mall on Veirs Mill Road, you'll find Twinbrook Deli. When you walk to the front door, you'll pass windows covered in advertisements for various beers. Right before you walk in, there is a window that is clear that shows a counter with some seating, and you can see people demolishing huge subs. The Deli itself is spacious, the deli counter towards the back and on the left when you walk in. But you will have to walk by hogsheads (actual unit of measurement! ~54 gallons) of all kinds of beer. You'll walk towards the first 13 or so commercial refrigerators to the sign that says Order Here, but before that, read through the menu that is posted above the counter where they make the sandwiches. I had to try the World Famous Cold Cut sub, and of course I got a large. They were out of white large sub rolls when I got there, so I opted to keep the size, but go with wheat. I ordered and asked for everything on it. That meant, onions, lettuce, tomato, hot pepper relish, banana peppers, oil, mayo, and Italian seasoning. Sound good to me! The gentleman behind me in line, asked if my sub was for one person, yeah, it's that big! I told him that it was, and that I'd try my best to finish it. Alas, I could not. For a drink, you'll have to go back towards what feels like the area where the restrooms are. This is where they stock their soft drinks, of which they also have a large selection. The sub itself was packed full of toppings, so much so that it will usually tear when you pick it up to put to your mouth. The fresh tomatoes and oil on the sub made it very drippy and messy. You will want at least 5 napkins when you eat it. It was delicious and totally hit the spot. I could only eat half of it, and saved the other half for the next day's lunch. by then it was fairly soggy, but still tasty since the flavors had melded a little more and the bread was soaked, I mean "seasoned" with the oil and seasoning. As for the store itself, I think there are like 34 commercial fridges that are filled top to bottom with beer. You will likely find whatever beer you are looking for, and if not, then definitely something that will suffice. They also had not one, but two shelves of Mad Dog. This is definitely a place to keep in mind before your next party, or if you're looking for a 6er to bring to a party. I'll be back, since I have to try these other subs that people on Yelp keep raving about. read more

Then served with something sour and kind of sweet spice served on a dried out falling apart wheat pita. The shredded raw lettuce and onions didn't help. So disappointed! Still coming here after years of getting their subs. Normally it's my kid who suggests coming here these days. The subs here are def our favorite subs in the area. Bread is good, meat is tasty, good balance between meat, cheese and whatever you put on it. Def a lot of choices on the menu. We usually visit this place on Saturday when the deli line isn't busy, but the friendly cashier might have a line due to people buying beer. Always check the expiration date on your beer here. Most of the time it's expired. Almost bought a six pack that was brewed over a year ago today. Last time I bought a six pack here after I got home I noticed it was brewed in October 2020...it's currently July 2022, almost 2 years later. The employees don't care and tell you it's still just as fresh when you call them out. I'm done with this place. A family member and I went to Twinbrook Deli for lunch and purchased a slice of cheese pizza and a sub. I also bought a few lolipops. The man at the register asked me if I'd like a bag. I said yes and paid for one. He placed the pizza box, sub and the lolipops in a white plastic bag for me. I then had a short drive home and proceeded to have the sub for lunch. After upon finishing the sub, I untied the white bag and opened the pizza box. A few seconds later, a roach crawled out from the bag onto the side of the pizza box! That family member I was with quickly killed that roach. Then, a few seconds later, another roach crawled out and began to crawl across the kitchen table! We quickly killed that one as well! Out of fear of there being more from the bag or the pizza box, we threw the pizza, uneaten of course and everything from that store in the trash, wrapped the trash bag several times and in the trash can outside. It was a very frightening experience and absolutely disgusting. This establishment has a serious roach infestation and when I spoke to the woman who was in charge, because the manager wasn't there, she was extremely defensive and rude. When I told her we didn't want the money back, that it wasn't about the money, she then relaxed a bit and admitted that they were having, in her words, pest problems with "animals" and bugs alike. Animals?? What type of animals? Holy, hell. That's beyond worrisome. The roaches must be crawling around everywhere at night, even on the cutting boards. If it's this extreme that two roaches crawled out of my purchased bag and box, then it is a serious problem all around in this deli. We cannot ever go back to this place, ever again. read more
