Another small local restaurant that has a good variety of breakfast and lunch options. Call your order in because it is a busy little spot! My food was made pretty quickly with a full crowd in the restaurant. There really isn't a waiting area so you are constantly having to move out of the way or stand directly behind someone. The hotdog all the way was good and so was the sweet tea.

Nice little hometown diner with friendly service and good food. I have only got to eat here twice , but each time has been a great experience. The flat iron steak was great and the Philly cheese steak was good as well. Nice fresh soft hoagie roll. Onion rings were good and crispy. A good choice for lunch.

My husband and I decided to give this local cafe a try based on the Yelp reviews. It is located not far from our home so finding it was no problem. It is a small place that sits a short distance off the road so make sure you are looking good or you'll pass it. Folks when we walked in we were greeted promptly with smiles and a "hello". This is what true southern charm is all about. We informed our waitress, Sharie, that we had never been there before. She made us feel so welcomed. She was very informative of the menu and what they offered. This is what you hear about "small town" charm. And that is exactly what we received here. I ordered the chuckwagon sandwich with a slice of tomato and a spread of mayonnaise. My husband opted for the hotdogs with mustard ONLY (he is a little on the particular side ha-ha). We both ordered tator tots crispy style. I also wanted to try their bologna sandwich based on another Yelper's review. I decided to have a little fruit with my lunch so I opted for the fresh cantaloupe as well. Our order was prepared and delivered promptly. Wow, we were in for a treat. Everything we ordered looked great and smelled even better! The chuckwagon was huge. It filled the whole sandwich. It was very good! My husband said the hot dogs were good as well. We both enjoyed the tots, cooked to perfection! The fried bologna was just as good. A good thick slice, if that is to your liking. I must admit, cantaloupe is a tricky one. In my opinion, if you get a good sweet ripe one then you have hit the jackpot. Well, that is exactly what I got. A good ripe one! Yummy I understand why this place has five star reviews. It is simply (with no disrespect intended) a "hole in the wall". But what I have found in my travels of restaurants, diners and eateries is these are some of the best places to enjoy with fork and spoon. You absolutely cannot judge what the food and service is like on the INSIDE by looking at the OUTSIDE. Our waitress made us feel right at home with lack of anything. My husband and I absolutely will be back!!!! Footnote: I am a stickler when it comes to iced tea. Especially since I converted to "unsweetened". Here in the south, it doesn't sell as well so it has a tendency to spoil unless restaurants keep it fresh. I also like my tea strong and dark brewed. Dick's Cafe had theirs PERFECT! This is a huge plus when it comes to my dining experience. Hat's off guys!!!!

I love this little place. Every time I'm home I stop by for a deluxe bologna sandwich but I skip the fries for personal med/health reasons.

I did leave room for a warm and rich pecan pie that was topped with vanilla ice cream. Our servers Jaylon and Diana were very attentive and knowledgeable. Always kept our glasses full. There's some comments here on cleanliness, and I want to say that I am a very clean & ocd type of person. I found it to be exceptionally clean. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us with that kind Southern hospitality. I highly recommend Fresh Chef! And do plan to come back.

I mentioned my hubby and I would be sharing. When she came out with three plates, I was worried she misunderstood, but she actually had them split the cherry cobbler and ice cream. Now that was very unexpected, but I loved it. Multiple people stopped by our table to remove finished plates and check if we need anything. The place was like an upscale diner. Cloth napkins, but tvs showing football games. A nice bar, but they ran out of grenadine. No cherries in the Shirley temple. The mint julip was well made. Beef and vegetable soup was great, but the beef was burger. Not what I expected, but the fresh corn in it was wonderful. Black and blue filet salad was fantastic. They did not skimp on the blue cheese, it had spinach, kale, tomatoes and onion. My kiddo had the special, flounder and crab cakes. She said it was decent. Hubby lived the gumbo. I couldn't do 5 stars because the appetizer plates were dirty. All of them. All silverware and glasses were clean, but there was visible food residue on the appetizer plates and that's a big disappointment. To be honest, as someone who likes to eat fresh food, the salad was is definitely something I would recommend.

She apologized that the pub was short staffed but any extra wait we had wasn't noticed. My husband had the 1877 Cheeseburger with Coleslaw. The burger was super juicy and flavorful. The coleslaw was good. I had the Buffalo Bomb and paid a little extra to have it as a wrap. It was So Good. Stuffed full, and the wrap was tender. Saucy but just the right amount of sauce. I had the White Cheddar macaroni and cheese as my side and it was satisfyingly good. Honestly, walking in? I had no idea what I wanted to eat. But what I ordered and ate was exactly was I was wanting. Hah! Even the portion sizes were just right and priced very appropriately. The bar portion of the pub looked quite lively and there was an upstairs that I wasn't able to check out. The bathrooms were one-seaters, but were roomy and accessible and very clean. I definitely recommend this pub if you are in the area for a drink and some good food.

I'd like to start off saying that it is almost impossible to find a place that will make an espresso martini in and around this area. I asked for one first thing and the bartender had no issues making one. I was pleasantly surprised. The espresso martini was SPOT ON!! DELICIOUS!! My husband enjoyed his coconut rum and Coke so much, he got two!! My second drink was off of their "winter cocktail" menu. This menu was unique and intriguing. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the drink I got, but I promise most people based on description would pass. DON'T pass!! The drink was served warm with wine, rum, and spices. It taste like an apple cider or a flavorful tea, I could not taste the alcohol, that makes it a true cocktail in my opinion it also makes it dangerous!! hahahaha!! Move over Long Island ice tea!! We both got burgers. Both flame grilled I believe. Cooked perfectly and soooooooooooooo good!! My hubby got the inferno burger. If you love spicy, This one is for you!! It's not for the faint of heart. I chose the American burger. It was everything you want in a classic burger and it's my new fav place for a burger!! I chose a wedge salad for my side. It was large for a side. I only wish they had charred/grilled the wedge just to step it up a notch. Hubby got the pub chips.... tasty and plentifu!! Overall food was delicious. The staff were very nice and attentive. The building is beautiful and their vintage adds, mural, and gargoyles are a delightful and unique touch to the decor. I hope to see more the next time we go.
