I have been here 4 times in the past 2 months attempting to buy soccer shoes, a bike, and weights. We waited 45 minutes for the one associate to even say something to us. At this point I was done because I have smaller children. I am willing to spend over $500 based on everything I need. All associates I have ever dealt with act like they hate their job. It wasn't until I said something walking past this young, maybe 20-year-old guy that he came up and asked if I needed anything. All I wanted was for my son to try on different shoes. Terrible customer service. I am no longer attempting to shop here. I loved this store years ago. Then when I found someone to talk to in the bike area, the associate didn't know anything about bikes. I am honestly surprised that this is even open based on the terrible customer service. Do better. read more

I haven't been a fan of dicks in general for awhile, but this was my last time setting foot in any of your stores. I walked in to look for a new north face coat. I saw a nice black one and found my size to try it on. I looked around for a mirror but couldn't get to it because the coat was cable locked to the rack. If I can't even try on a coat a see how it looks without tracking someone down to unlock it that's a problem. Is crime that bad in Beavercreek that you have to lock down coats? read more

I'm a fan of this location. The store is actually a lot bigger than you think it is. It's actually two levels with the top level letting you out into the food court almost. LOL. What's good about this is not that it lets you out into the food court... but that it has two entrances in case you don't want to walk through the whole mall to get to this place. There is a big selection of things here, all the popular workout brands like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour. And, they have Ohio State gear as well as camping gear. There's even workout equipment. I've never had a problem with this location. I would come back. read more

They have a good selection, on two levels. I sometimes wonder if they have all the kayaks just for the wow! effect. I recently bought a bike helmet at another location and the sale price was amazing. Signing up for a loyalty card sent more discounts my way, though it's not like going to Kroger every day. I don't have quite as much of a need for sporting goods. The two level approach is good since they have so much merchandise. When I was approached by a staff member, he was friendly and helpful. The cashier at the mall entrance was making sure that the counter didn't float away since he wasn't otherwise occupied. Given that so many chains like Sports Authority have been to the brink of disaster and back, I hope this chain keeps going. read more

Unbelievable how dirty this store is. Rugs dirty and worn. Hand rails especially on the escalators are dirty. So are the counters by the registers. Bathrooms alone should shut this store down to the public! Filthy!!! Would not let my son use it. Corporate needs to go see for themselves! And go to the store at Liberty shopping center to compare. WoW! I'll never use that store again. And I hope it gets better for all those Airmen at Wright Patterson AFB, they certainly deserve a better sporting goods store in the community... read more

I stopped Dicks today looking for something for my daughter in law. I asked for help from an associate and explained what it was for. She helped me fine the coolest field-side rocking chair. Next I asked about clothing for watching games. She directed me downstairs where they had a super selection of Under Armor. Mission accomplished! And it made much easier because of the very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff at Dicks!! You get an A+ Dicks!!! read more

If you know what you need and you know where it is in the store, then this is the place for you. If this place had a self-checkout, then I'd give it an extra star. Or at least keep it at three, since this is somewhere between two and three. Honestly, all it takes is one disaffected youth working the cash register to sort of torpedo a place. If someone is about to spend money in your store, greet them, speak above a whisper, and speak like your mouth isn't full of marbles. If you're going to offer the option of an email receipt, let the customer use that option, don't just print out a receipt. And if you DO print out a receipt, DON'T SHOVE IT IN THE BAG!!!! Finally, say "thank you" for the customer spending a part of their paycheck here. "Have a good one." is acceptable AFTER you've said "thanks", or "thank you". And for the love of all that's holy, SPEAK UP!!!!! Mumbling makes it seem like you don't care. That you're not confident, in yourself, your employer, the product, OR the customer. Maybe I've lucked out in the four Dick's I've shopped at in Cali. Maybe your employees hate working Sundays. Leave folks with a bad impression on their way out, make them feel like they made a mistake shooing there, and they'll never be back. read more

The employees are the rudest people. I purchased two stadium seats online to pick up. I received an email confirming my order was ready to pickup. We drove 30 minutes to get the order and they handed us 1 chair. They proceeded to tell us they didn't have them even though they marked on the email that both were ready to pick up AND their website said they had 8 in stock. They go to look for the second one and while looking for it they are talking about us and laughing. They never did find the chair. So we call corporate to complain and they send us the second chair on them. So we go back today to pick out a pair of cleats for our daughter and the website says they have two in stock...the employee says no we don't have any. I ask him why the website says they have them then and his response was to make a face at me and shake the phone at me to show me they didn't have any. I will not be going back to dicks ever again. read more

I'm between 2 stars or 3 stars. It's honestly nothing special. I recommend going during the day because the staff seems more lively and willing to help if you ask them. But at night it's almost dead! Staff is normally all huddled up in the front talking to the opposite gender. But I went today to return an ankle brace and to get a new one, the old brace was $37.34 and the new brace was $42.69. The lady who proceeded my return was nice and I went to get my new brace and pay for it. I got home and on the back of my old receipt was a 15% off coupon vailed for 3 hours! Which would of made my new brace cheaper then my old one. I am so aggravated that I had this coupon and the associate Debra didn't even bother telling me I had it when she was the one who returned my brace AND checked me out for the new brace!! Dicks is a necessary trip in our world- they are the only local place that has the gear we need for various kids sports. They have a wide selection, however, their prices are not always the best. Yesterday we went looking for softball training items for fall practices. The ladder and heavy balls we wanted we much cheaper on Amazon, and Dicks won't price match unless it's from another local physical store. So, we looked at the items and then went home to order a better deal from Amazon. The Beavercreek location seems short-staffed. We always have to hunt for someone to help us, unless we are in the shoe department. There were at least three guys working in shoes on our most recent visit. The one guy that helped us in another area acted like he had somewhere else to be, but he did answer our question. read more

Since they moved into the mall, the amount of things they carry has more then doubled. The sad thing is, they are at the mall. (unless you really like malls) But the selection is good, the staff friendly, and they have some deals here if you check often enough. read more

I have two teenage boys, so I end up here a lot. They tend to have a great selection and a good clearance section for options as well. Top that off with the coupons they send and the scorecard (reward card) and you've got a great deal. I deducted one star because it can be difficult to find an associate in the huge store, but when you do they are all very helpful. read more

Terrible organization at this store. They need more workers. I went to get a pair of running shoes and the selection was all mixed up in terms of brands and sizing, which made it hard to find the right pair, especially when sale shopping. I finally found a pair and went to checkout only to realize that the two shoes inside were different sizes. I then waited ten minutes for them to look for the proper size pair but to no avail. As a rewards customer who spends a couple hundred dollars a year at this store I received a $10 coupon. I go to the store and use it towards a $10 product. However, there are two styles of this product so I get one of each, thinking I'm using the coupon for one and paying $10 of my own cash for the other. I wanted to take them home to see which one would work best for me. I did and when I returned the other I was only given $5 back. So my $10 reward was reduced to $5. When I rightfully complained it made no sense I was I told made the purchase/return in the wrong manner. I should have bought each one as separate purchases. That way if I returned the one purchased with the coupon I could have exchanged it for the other style and if I returned the one I used my cash for I would have received a full refund. So instead of educating me on how to go about it next time and making it right this time it was implied it was my fault. This is a poor way to treat a "rewards customer". Dick's can kiss my couple hundred dollars a year spent good-bye. Plenty of other sporting good stores to shop. read more
