Nobody ever waits on you. If you want to shop here, know what you want and don't need assistance, fine. Then go downstairs, lower level, to check out and pay. The cash register on the second floor, golf dept is always closed. I went in the golf shop to day, interested in buying a putter. I get all these emails about great 4th of July Sales. Go over to the putters. There are no golf balls try hit; the putters all have locks on them so you can't get a real feel. And when you look around for assistance, not only are their no customers in the area, but no service help. I am only 73 and do tend to be patient and have the income. Doesn't anybody from the coporate office read these reviews? read more

I'm always in and out. Golf area is all I cone in for and they are always nice. I paid downstairs and register 1 was open and two cashiers was talking to a customer and he said she can get you on 2. But yet you ring up the guy behind me on 1. That I didn't like. read more

Do not recommend their order online, pickup in store service. Took nearly thirty minutes for them to bring my item. Order three incredibly light weight items. They brought the first two but they didn't even realize I had ordered a third item. This was all in one single order. Too the representative 17 minutes to locate the third item. It had not been picked prior to me arriving at the store. read more

This store's service absolutely is the worst. For the third time in the last couple of months I tried to buy someting here but the check out process was rediculous. There was only one cashier and she was trying to do a credit and there was a lot of confusion with the customer. I finally dumped my $20 purchase on the counter and left. I wish I had an option. The employees at this store just do not care about customer service. If I was the manager I would fire everone on this shift. read more

Went in to the store not expecting much and was totally impressed. I was with my 10 year old son and was looking for a new bicycle for him. After not finding a salesperson near the bikes, I asked at the gun counter and someone appeared within a minute. I'm not sure what his name was, But he was fantastic! He checked the bike, made adjustments and took a few minutes out of his day to make sure my son understood exactly how to use the bike. Good Job, Dicks! The little bit of extra money was well worth the service. Your associate that helped me today should be rewarded for great service! After our purchase, he even helped us get the bike outside. Racist...Don't shop at Dicks sporting goods at the mall of georgia. I went there in hopes to purchase a hunting rifle. i was 2nd in line and notice the employee showing all sorts of guns to a customer. That customer left and i was next. I told him that i wanted a rifle and pointed at a particular one. The worker looked at that gun and said. "Yes, this is a rifle. and it's $300". I said,"Great, do you mind if i hold it?". He looked at me, (i'm asian) and said, "yes, it's $300". I asked again, "can i look at it?" He said,"go ahead, look.". And pointed at the gun. I politely thanked him and walked away. I met my wife and she had in her hands running shoes, a few shirts and a kid fishing pole for my son. I stopped her from purchasing these items and we left the store. Oh, and i also tweeted and facebook messaged all my 200+ friends (They all live in gwinnett county) about this incident. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if given the opportunity. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had to wait close to 30 minutes for someone to unlock a dressing room. Every employee we encountered said "I will send someone to help." No body ever appeared. One girl said she would be right back with a key and I found her 30 minutes later restocking a drink shelf. While we were there, a canoe fell off the hooks in the ceiling and employees just went down the escalator so they wouldn't have to deal with it. When we left the store, we saw two manager types just standing around chatting about nothing Dick's related. This is why I purchase things online. read more

TWent into Dick's on Wednesday afternoon. It was virtually empty. We got in the check out line with only one customer ahead of us. The cashier took so long to do one transaction that we got impatient and left. He looked like he had just been brought out of a coma - moving in uber slow motion. BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! Tried to purchase a piece of fitness equipment, and the box looked like it had been opened previously. So I asked them to open in the store so i could check the equipment. No Go - they said if that was done the product could not be returned. Are you kidding me? all packaging intact, completely unused, and not returnable. What they did at this store to the customers on Thanksgiving night was awful. Dick's probably did it chain wide. With hundreds of people to pay for sale items on Thanksgiving night, they were asking all people to join their rewards program and practically forcing it when a polite no thanks was given. "It only takes a minute," was the statement from the clerk. It may have taken only a minute, but each extra minute adds tremendously to the wait time for the customers in line. Check out lines were exceeding an hour for almost everyone and were approaching two hours at one point. A minute saved per customer would have been huge. It is clear that Dick's is all about company first and customer second. read more

Buyer beware Dick's does not stand behind whatever they sell unless you have a receipt and their records only goes back 90 days. Their Score card is a gimmick and the people working there have the knowledge of peanut and that is the way their corporate office likes it. I will not shop their again l will make sure my community shops st Sports Authority or Academy. read more

Terrible customer service. Over charged and then attitude when we were trying to get money back. Took manager 20 minutes to come over.

I was very impressed by the staff's reaction when I asked them to page my 13-year old daughter whose phone had died and I couldn't find her. Even though I told them it wasn't an emergency, they immediately had all personnel go to their stations and look for her. They did everything short of go into lock down mode. She was found in short order. Bravo, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bravo! I'm so glad you take finding children seriously! read more

Not sure why this place has so many low reviews, I had a great shopping experience here. I was looking for the Brooks Glycerin 12. I called Finish Line and they put me on hold & never came back. So I called here, they had my size, I picked them up - done. Had two people offer their help while I was here. Great store. read more

Return Policy really, really, bad!! Purchased a Fitbit Force on 2/10/2014. Paid cash plus purchased extended warranty through Dicks. Attempted to return on 2/24/2014 and was refused. I was given the number of the Mfg.(Fitbit). Finally able to get extended warranty $31.99 refunded. Sales folks apologized, however, refused refund. Dick's Sporting Goods not, not the place to purchase anything.....I would rate minus Stars if allowed. Not even a one star.... read more

I was there 7/26, after having our car serviced at a nearby dealership. I was to meet my wife outside the Mall, near Dick's, at which I planned to shop. However, acres of that area of the parking lot gradually closed down for filming of "Blended". I was trapped for several minutes in my car, trying to find a way out. I was ungraciously told to "leave this area & don't come back". Needless to say, we left & didn't come back. Dick's appeared to be the center of attention, too, with groupies & security & barriers around. Too bad, too. The filming, according to Buford Patch, was supposed to be done "before or after Mall hours". Obviously, it was not so, & I have been there several times in the past, though it does seem to mean "self-service", despite the great selection of merchandise. Since, we live 6 mos. of the yr. 1 1/2 hrs. away from there, I am in no hurry to go back, nor fight the bumper-to-bumper traffic in the Mall of Ga. area. read more
