This was our first time at this location, as we had a coupon for this specific location. There were no associates in the baseball glove area and when I finally did track someone down for help, the associate walked away and never came back (he was chatting with other associates). We frequent the Montgomeryville store and always have a pleasant experience there- the staff is always visible and willing to help. I stopped here recently to get some new work out clothes and, surprisingly, I left the store with nothing. The store is pretty big and has a huge variety of sporting clothes, shoes, and gear, but I didn't feel comfortable buying anything and had no desire to support the business either. One of the things that really bothered me was how unfriendly the staff was. I had to loop around the entire store to find someone when I had questions and when I finally did, they made me feel like I was a nuisance. There were a couple times that I was given conflicting answers, too. While one employee told me they are not accepting returns, someone else told me they are. When I asked for a different size in a pair of bike shorts I saw, one woman told me they didn't have any other sizes but when I was walking further back a bit later, I found a rack full of more sizes. The most troubling thing I saw was an employee who barely had her mask covering her face, and a customer who walked in and was shopping without a mask on at all. I won't be visiting this location again anytime soon, especially not during the pandemic. I hope future customers won't have an experience like me and that this location really gets their act together! read more

When my boys need sporting gear, this is where we typically head to. We can almost always find what we are in search for and on several occasions, I've asked for help and had no difficulty in getting it. We are typically here for baseball related items and have purchased gloves, socks, pants, bats, balls, cleats, and a helmet here. On one recent trip, I was in search for a glove for my 4-year old t-ball player and wasn't sure about the fit and a nice gentleman helped me out and even sold me on a LESS expensive glove. read more

My parents and I weren't that fond of this particular Dick's Sporting Goods, which is a shame as I love the Providence Town Center. There were no employees around and the few we did see didn't bother to acknowledge us or ask if we needed help and looked a bit miserable. The items seemed rather misplaced and we didn't find what we were looking for, they did have a small Eagles Jersey section (could be the time of the year as well). Went to the golf section looking for a specific set of irons. Met Dave, a very knowledgeable staff member. Was able to not only help me with my swing but perform a fitting and assist with ordering additional items that were not in stock. Encountered several other store staff who were all extremely helpful and courteous. Have had less enjoyable experiences at two other Dicks locations closer to me. Why is it when you spend $80 on items, use $20 in bonus money, it's the FIRST thing you LOSE when you do a return?? Seriously, I spent $80 on online merchandise. I used my (earned) bonus money of $20 and the balance on my credit card ($60). I returned $40 of merchandise that did not fit. They proceeded to reduce my $40 credit by $10 because they "prorated" my bonus money per item. I tried to explain that I paid much more than the $20, so that bonus money should not be included in my return. They said, "It's just how we do returns. We divide the bonus money up per item and take that reduction on returns." This does NOT make sense. Then just say I have a percentage off items! So I lost $10 of my $20 earned bonus money. They told me "the points will be put back into my account, so once I reach another bonus, I will get bonus money again. SERIOUSLY. I will NOT be back for this corrupt business practice! read more

There is some kind of shady business going on with the inventory of the items on sale. I was charged $25 more for the same sneakers that cost $49.98 at Dick's ( King of Prussia location)(484)-751-0071. However Dick's website (Collegeville location) indicates that these shoes are out of stock, and it is not the case. They have multiple pairs of different sizes to choose from. Very odd and unpleasant situation. Who knows how many more sale items are not marked as such and charged full price. read more

Just a heads up to all the little league baseball players...be-careful with the purchase of Easton Composite Baseball bats...they crack frequently and it takes Easton 7 to 14 days to replace the cracked bat if it is in the one year warranty. The warranty is 1 year from the date of the" original purchased bat" so Easton will replace the bat as many times as it breaks for up to 12 months of the "original purchase"..my son has cracked 5 Easton composite bats in the last 3 years and Easton has replace 3 of them..on our Little League team, we have at least 5 other players with crack Easton Composite Bats...my son's Composite DeMarini bat has never crack and is still perfect after 2 years...every Easton bat we owned has cracked.....this is an issue!!!! read more

I purchased a Fitbit charge 2 on 1/10/17 for $137 including tax. I paid with cash and did not have a dicks score card at the time. Unfortunately I had to return the Fitbit because the person I purchased it for bought one the same day. I lost the receipt, which is completely my fault and I understand that. I figured I could at least get store credit. I went back on 1/14/17 to return the Fitbit. It had not been opened or tampered with in any way. I was met with confusion when I asked to return it without a receipt. I have been to many stores and have never had an issue with this - Costco, Walmart, and bjs to name a few. The woman working the front counter told me that I would only receive $80 in return. When I questioned her reasoning, I was told that $80 was the lowest price in "their system" for that product and that was the best she could do. I said, "why are they on sale for $130 instead of the $80 she stated?!" She was unable to answer my question. I stood there confused and puzzled for a moment and was then suggested to sell it on eBay. I left the store displeased and unsatisfied. I do not shop at dicks for the pure fact that their prices are out of control. Their sales are never really sales and it is impossible to find a person to unlock the dressing room. I will add this event to the already long list of reasons why I don't shop at dicks sporting goods. read more
