Customer service is terrible. I ordered golf balls and now found out they would take 2 months. These are standard Titlest Pro V1 no special order. They refuse to help. I had to call Titlest myself. Still waiting for a call back from them Nowhere in their ad they sent me said it would take 2 months. They blamed Titlest. I bought from them. All they did was give me a run around. I found a treadmill online & there was a flash sale. We went to the store closest which was Gainesville. Walked in found 2 treadmills I was interested in. The young man Jackson was great to get a key so I could try it out and make sure it would work for me. This treadmill has more bells and whistles than I needed but it was a flash price cut that worked for me. Jackson was so perfect in his job. He matches the price shown on my phone from Dick's sale, got a brand new boxed item from the back & when it was after checkout he and another young man moved and delivered it into my lil truck. I didn't have to help at all Jackson's customer service was exemplary! He is an asset to the company & this store. I honestly will buy only from there now. In these weird times, I appreciate that my money and time means something still, even if it is to a young man working hard at his job like I do. Us customer service people should be given kudos. Jackson showed he is a great face for the company. I hope he rises through the ranks quickly I love my treadmill. read more

I have had good experiences with this store until now River was the employees name ... She is rude .. probably the rudest employee that i have ever engaged in this store. She was rude to me and my kids, stores should understand that, WE are the ones spending money in that store ... The employees aren't the ones paying us to be customers in these stores. read more

I'm a big fan of Dick's Sporting Goods and this store is great. It is nice, new and conveniently located in the Stonewall Shopping Center off of Rt 29. It's smaller than some of the locations I've been to, but I consider this a plus because I can't stand walking around forever just to get one item. The prices are decent and the store is well organized. One of my favorite things about Dick's is that they still sell firearms, ammunition and shooting supplies. These days that's rare for a sporting goods store. Also the prices for these items are fair and in some cases rather competitive. My few interactions with staff have been pleasant and I appreciate how they are very willing to help. I enjoy coming to this location and I will continue to visit for my sporting goods needs. *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

Dick's isn't my favorite place to shop - I am not a fan of huge corporations from the get-go. For it being the holiday season, I was surprised to wait in line 30 minutes to check out since there was only one cashier and the other cashier spent his time re-stocking items in the checkout line instead of checking us out so we could get out of there faster.. Their products are overpriced and you get better deals at Bass Pro Shops. read more

This Dick's is pretty small and doesn't hold a lot. They have a good clothing and shoe selection, but finding shoes here is a cluster because it's a mess and not well organized. I ended up giving up looking for shoes and left. Since this is a small Dick's, they don't hold much in other Departments, so it's not a one stop shop if you want to get fully geared from the ground up for a trip or activity. read more

Both times I've been in here the service has been excellent. I exchanged a T-shirt that I received as a gift with no receipt around Christmas and had no problems whatsoever, and when I recently came in to check out some hiking boots, I was promptly assisted by a very friendly guy named Reese. Called ahead to verify a North Face jacket was in stock for even gift exchange. Placed on hold 4 times. Finally got a hold of someone who said they "had a ton" of the jacket in question in my size. Drove to the store, only 5 jackets on the rack, none in my size. Customer service girl could not explain why the phone person told me they had stock when clearly they didn't and rudely told me "we have what we have". Although she did offer to do an exchange and have it shipped to my house, this was with additional attitude. I'll be taking my jacket to the Manassas store. After this time and others where they are frequently out of stock of everything but the most common items, I won't be shopping here again and don't recommend anyone else does. read more

This particular store never seems to have much in the way of selection and never top of the line items.I have tried numerous times to purchase soccer cleats at this store and always told they have to be ordered. Just bought a pair earlier this month of which were over $200 and of course,had to be ordered. Football items are just as poorly stocked. Last year there were no adult size football pants for my middle schooler. This year I needed 2 pair of football cleats, one pair not in stock and had to be ordered. Had a coupon from local youth club that expired 2 days ago and the manager, Juan, would not honor it. Explained I was out of state and couldn't take advantage of it. Nope he said he cannot honor it. I said there is another youth football coupon from a different club this weekend which I could use but my child needs cleats now as his current ones are too small plus it's inconvenient to have to travel back to the store. Still he refused to honor the coupon. This store manager,Juan, doesn't try to keep customers but drives them away. I'm not sure who is in charge of buying for this location but that individual doesn't know their demographic. There are numerous housing developments in which both husband and wife each earn a six figure income with a large soccer club a few miles away. I'm not sure why they do not order enough product and higher end product, but they don't. So The store manager, Joe, called me the next day and apologized for the manager on duty not honoring the discount. Joe said he would honor the discount , just the bring the receipt. I went into the store today and Joe , who was very friendly and made things right.many thanks to Joe! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mother was here on 3/17/15 and she said that she had great customer service at around 9:30 AM, the two associates who helped her were very helpful and the manager was of great assistance. We came back today to find soccer cleats around 5:00 PM. We had an extremely hard time finding anything, and when we asked a sales associate if they had anything besides Nike, because they are too narrow for my feet, he pointed to a display and responded with a (very surly) "Those are the cheap ones". Then, when we went to try on some shoes, they had a size 6 1/2 shoe in a size 8 box. It was impossible to find a pair of two shoes, as they were either in the wrong box or one was used as a display. When we alerted the cashier to the issue, his response was "I'm sorry, I wish there was something I could do". We then called the manager from my mom's cell, and it was unsatisfactory. We headed up the street to Sports Authority, found a pair of cleats in 5 minutes, and got great customer service. Overall, we will never return. read more

I have been shopping at Dicks Sporting goods for20 years both on Long Island and recently in Gainesville Va. I love the fact that the sales people are so helpful and knowledgeable. In particular the golf pro Larry Knupp takes a sincere interest in helping experienced shoppers and neophytes. He will help finding what is needed but also explain the attributes of the various choices. I rely on him and have never been disappointed. Thank you for having such a knowledgeable pro. read more

Great selection of Running apparel, was in and out if the store in 20 minutes, staff was surprisingly helpful.

Terrible customer service. I was looking for a particular item in store tonight and waited for someone to finally acknowledge me after helping another customer. I started to say what I needed and the staff member was distracted by the previous customer and ran off to help them. The online inventory is a joke as the item was supposedly in stock. It was not the only item I was seeking tonight, but if I can't even finish saying something in response to a question, then I am taking my business elsewhere. Rudeness is not something I will tolerate when paying full retail prices. I walked out and am not spending $500+ for these items at any Dick's location. read more
