The sales approach is completely different from what I've been given, which isn't much of anything, to be honest, and these sales associates know their "shit." They really do, and to be further honest, I think that what other Yelpers have viewed as "rude" or "condescending" was just the sales people ripping apart all preconceived ideas and trying to teach us how to TRULY get properly fit for a shoe, be it for walking or running or whatever. It was an education for sure, and I can see why some would be put off by it. I didn't want to hear some of what they said, but they weren't wrong, either, and my feet are happy once again. This location is easy to find, located in a huge outdoor mall with lots of free parking. I like going into the store to "feel" or at least see how a product is prior to purchasing but they do have a lot more stuff on their website and they have an outlet store online as well. This REI has a good selection of items, everything is clean and organized and there's always an employee that will ask if you need help with anything. My last visit, I think 3-4 employees asked if I needed help with anything while I was browsing around. Hubby and I stopped by last year to check out their balance bikes and bike helmets for our son and the employee that was in charge of that area was super helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up purchasing an REI brand balance bike for him a month later for his birthday during their sale and I love how they have a trade in program for it. Don't quote me on it but you basically trade in your older, smaller one (I believe they have to be REI brand) and you get a percentage off (40%?) of the next size up. This is amazing because kids grow up so fast and I don't want to deal with storing outgrown sizes or the hassle of trying to re-sell them. The REI branded bikes feel pretty good in my opinion and my son is very happy with his bike and also his helmet we purchased from there. I also recently signed up for their membership program which is a one time fee of $30 which to me is well worth it even though I don't shop there that often. I believe when I signed up, you also get a $30 credit to spend so basically the membership's free! If you're in the market for camping and outdoorsy type products, definitely check out REI!

A very disappointing (and costly) experience. First, I was told that in order to guarantee the suit's availability within that time frame, I'd have to pay an additional $150 fee over the cost of the suit. I reluctantly agreed, and thereafter was "measured" for my suit by trying on various slacks and ill-fitting jackets. The process was so unnerving that a few days layer I telephone the shop and inquired about how much time it would take to make major adjustments to the jacket should it prove necessary, and was told not to worry. On August 17th, not having heard from the shop, I telephone them, only to be told the suit was "in" and I should come in for my final fitting. When I inquired as to why no one had informed me of the suit's arrival, I was simply told someone must have called! In any event, I went in the following day and, sure enough, the jacket didn't fit properly. Told again not to worry, the adjustments necessary would be made and the suit would be ready on August 26th. I picked up the suit today (August 26th) and no adjustments were made to the jacket. Rather than argue, I took the suit immediately to my tailor for adjustment. We are both hoping the jacket can be properly modified. Also, another annoyance (though minor) is that when I purchased the suit, they asked for my initials so they could be sewn into the lining. No initials were ever sewn into the lining). All in all, not a first-class operation at all. I'm just glad I had the foresight to purchase another suit off the rack for the dinner-party!
