My boyfriend purchased a $230 Boston Bruins game from Dicks in Nashua NH. It was the wrong size, so we went to return it this evening at the Leominster store, as it was more convenient. Apparently the wrong tag was put on the shirt and we were told by the cashier it could not be returned. My response was "it's not our fault Dicks put the wrong tags on it". He immediately called the manager "Cecile" who came over with the biggest puss on her face. Explained the situation and she could not help, as again it was the wrong tag for the shirt and she didn't know if the store did it or "we did". Imagine my response. We were told we would have to go to the Nashua store, My response was all the Dicks are the same". As I'm writing this, we are taking a 40 minute ride to return an item that could have been returned and the issue resolved there. This is not over, I will be taking further action. read more

It came in a gorgeous and bold print. Prices ending up in .x3 or .x7 are in clearance. The team leader, associates Joyce and Shayleigh gave an exceptional customer experience: They matched a promotional price on their website in store with a smile. Joyce helped me kindly find the deals I pre-selected on their website beforehand. Thus, I could try them in store. Joyce was truly knowledgeable on the technical properties of products. I will definitely come back to get fitness gear. Please remember to get points with the free loyalty program "Scorecard", monitor their weekly deals in your inbox, etc. It was easy and free to park on their parking lot. After our honeymoon in Hawaii and enjoying paddle boarding I purchased a bunch of SUP (stand up paddle board) stuff from Dick's. All in (2 SUP's, 2 paddles, straps, roof rack) it came to just over $1150. The paddles were marked $39 each. After getting home and doing some quick math in my head and feeling the price was higher than it should have been I checked the receipt, sure enough they charged me $99/paddle. I was in the area today and stopped to check. Right on the rack were 10-15 paddles and in front a sign for $39. I had the receipt and said I was over charged and asked for the credit. After checking the sales person (Meghan) said they were incorrectly marked. MGL says they must honor the mistake. I didn't have the paddles with me to exchange or I would have done that. She said she couldn't do that but could offer me 25% off. I said that wasn't going to work so I asked for a manager. The manager came (Kevin Ronayn) and was as about as rude as I've ever seen a store employee be. I explained the issue. He said he wouldn't credit the difference, (or the 25%) and when I said it was their mistake and they are supposed to honor the price, (I wouldn't have purchased 2 $100 paddles) he literally told me '...well that's too bad, deal with it. I'm not selling you a $100 paddle for $39...' I explained he could credit me the difference or I could go get and return the items I bought (he didn't know what I had bought only the paddles) to which he then replied 'then go do it, you're nuts if you think I'm crediting you the difference...' So home I went. Got the truck, went to the lake and loaded it all up and returned $1135 worth of $1152 I bought and walked next door and bought one from another outdoors/sporting store in the same plaza. I opted to not get one for myself as its my wife's new passion not mine. As a result of the people at DSG's being rude I saved $600 and she got a better one then she had to begin with. If you're in he market for anything that is for sale at Dick's that can be bought somewhere else then do it. I spent more on the new board at the other store but I'll gladly pay more to be treated with respect. As a result if I had to guess, Dick's lost about $5k+/ year from me because we frequently purchase things for my personal training business there. I'll never go there again. read more

When this crisis started, I went in here to grab some supplies and ammo, just to have in case things got really bad. I haven't gone into Dick's in a long time because... well I've never been pleased with their selection or customer services. However, I was on a break from work and pressed for time, so I decided to give them a chance. I'd heard rumors that they were doing away with firearms after the school shootings a few years ago... but I was hoping there would still be some stock left. Nope... their entire outdoor department was nuked. No crossbows, no ammo, no guns, even the camo gear and misc hunting had been done away with. That whole back corner of the store was a mess. So in addition to their typical poor customer services, this store had done away with pretty much my only reason for going in there. Though I'm not their biggest fan either, Cabela's seems like the place to go for out doors stuff, and there are plenty of mom and pop stores that sell ammo when I need it. Dick's, you made a big mistake here. Virtue signal all you want, it's going to hurt your pocketbook. read more

God awful customer service! Not a single sales associate on the floor to assist with questions. Finally found a woman to ask. Without even looking at my face she pointed me in the general direction and hurried away. I waited in line to see if anyone at the register can help. They were also useless. It's nice because it doesnt get nearly as busy as the one in natick. However the store manager cares more about stocking shelves than helping customers. While you wont have to wait hear to find cleats, you wont be able to try them on because all the security tags are right in the way of lacing up the shoes. I'd recommend this place if you dont need to try your shoes on first. read more

Personally I've never been a fan of dicks sporting goods most of their stuff is of garbage quality and there is no real selection that I can't find at cabella's, a smaller store for cheaper or be like the rest of my generation just go on Amazon. Not going to shop in a store were I have hovering eyes over me the whole time to the point it is uncomfortable. If I could give zero stars I would. To top it off the there fishing selection needs to be brought up to date. I have never been to a Dick Sporting Goods Store before. This store is huge! It has everything you could ever need including sneakers, golf, jackets, sports equipment, Nike, Under Armor, and everything else under the sun. We shopped here Saturday for hours and I was greeted by Leah initially with a pleasant "let me know if you need anything at all." She was very busy and bounced all over the huge store. Unfortunately, after I went thru the whole store and filled up my cart, I picked up a Greer winter Jacket on sale but they did not have my size. Here she comes to the rescue and ordered it online for me with a free delivery to my home. This was done simultaneously while helping others and she still had a smile on her face. She even gave me a friends and family coupon which I will be able to use on the next day for their huge event. Someone please give her a raise she deserves it! While my girlfriend was still in the store she was also helped by Daniel today who took our receipts from Saturday and applied the friends and family promo coupon. This took about 10 minutes and the store was very busy. With ski clothes, boots, sneakers and work out apparel this saved us 250 bucks. I am amazed by the level of service at this store much thanks to both of them! read more

The same day I had previously visited Dick's Sporting Goods in the Blackstone Shopping center in Millbury looking for a new driver in the golf section. I had done prior research on certain clubs but wasn't positive on which one would fit my swing best. The associate at Millbury was helpful but honestly the simulator there was garbage. It was confined and just weird to swing in. There was no screen and only a net. Because of that, I didn't get a good feel for the clubs I was testing. Anyway, I digress. I ended up driving to the Northborough location and as soon as I entered the store there was an associate assisting a father with his young son at the putting green. The sales associate is named Gerry. I noticed he was very kind to the young kid and told him to have fun testing out all the putters but to make sure he put them back in the right place. It was nice because usually people get irritated with kids and they visibly show it. Gerry approached me and long story short his incredible knowledge and willingness to assist me resulted in me walking out of the store with a new Callaway driver. He set me up in the simulator (much more advanced than Millbury) right away with multiple drivers and started analyzing my distance, swing speed, ball spin, etc. He gave me tips on how to fix my swing and fit me for the right flex and club they had available. He didn't try to upsell me with an extremely expensive driver that I don't necessarily need for my level of play. Furthermore, he gave me tips on how to track my improvement. For example, he suggested at the end of each round or during the round to take notes on each stroke/hole and to note what I did well and what I think I could improve. Simple yet vital to game-improvement. In total, I spent about 30 minutes with Gerry and walked away with a new driver and no regret. Kindness in addition to product knowledge sells things. Go to the Millbury store. The staff at the Northborough store is consistently rude - the worst customer service I've seen in any retail establishment. I've been there twice in the past month and both times the service people were incredibly rude. I pointed out that merchandise was mis-priced and even took a photo with my phone. The woman rolled her eyes at me and didn't say anything to admit fault. And reluctantly gave me the posted price. The second time I went to purchase a birthday gift for my son - luckily there was a nice jacket marked as a clearance item with a purple dot on the tag. The sign said to take an additional 50% off and when the computer didn't recognize it, he said it wasn't meant to be. Without even checking. I went to the Millbury store and the customer service person was super nice - went to the sign and checked himself - and was more than happy to help. What a difference between the two stores. read more

Very unhappy customer. Tried to purchase 4 lifejackets, on every shelf a 50% discount label was visible, stating 50% off, with no exceptions mentioned. When we went to pay the cashier, she said only two of them had a discount. We tried to complain without success. The cashier did not smile or transact our business in a pleasant manner.
