Big outlet Dicks Sporting Goods store. Warning: Do Not Go To This Store On The Weekends...it was slammed with international shoppers stocking up their newly bought suit cases. Lots of sport attire at this store with all big name brands. Plenty of sales storewide. They do have a large checkout aisle with several employees to keep the line move quickly. Loved the big Miami Dolphin section near the entrance. read more

Every time I am looking for a place with great selection of sporting equipment, I think of Dick's Sporting Goods. The story of how this franchise business started is really interesting, fun and cute. Taken from their website, "DICK'S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18-year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business. After Dick presented his suggestions, the owner told him he was a dumb kid and had no idea what he was doing. Dick was upset and promptly quit. He went to his grandmother's house where he spent a lot of time as a kid and told her what had happened. Dick's grandmother asked how much it would cost to build the store himself. Dick said it would cost $300. His grandmother then went to the cookie jar where she kept her life savings and gave him $300 and told him, "Do it yourself." Dick used that money and his relentless work-ethic to open a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton. Went to Dicks sporting store last week looking for that waist trimmer and I found one that makes me sweat but I'm not sure I'll get rid of that belly unless I give up some of the sweet snacks. I bought it for 2O.00 I don't know why they put 19.99 just round off that number please and call it what it is. The material is made from neoprene and I suggest wearing a T-shirt under it because you will sweat . Will I have a smaller waist this will depend on my mouth and using this belt. 4/22/23 My wife and I were at sawgrass Mills yesterday, as we always like to visit Dick's to see what's new. We met a very nice man, whose name was James. He was very personable and we struck up a nice conversation about the NBA playoffs. Then I asked him about the brand of slacks the PGA Tour players wear, as they all look great. He gave me the information and I headed to the Golf apparel, and saw the slacks, and especially liked the Walter Hagen and Travismathew brands. Not having the time to try them on, I know that I will return to do so. Because the exceptional customer service, provided me, by James, I sought out his Mgr., by the name of Kori, and told her how much I appreciated his 5 star service and that she should move him up to a Manager position. She said, "he is very likeable and is a Manager already." Kori was also very amiable. Both Kori and James represent Dick's in the finest light. Excellent customer service is a lost art in today's business community and it's nice that your brand takes pride and makes it paramount for the consumer. It will sure pay dividends each and every day. Those reading this review, can be sure of the quality people that Dick's have on their staff. Stop in and meet them. You will be happy you did. My husband and I came here opening weekend to check out the new store. Dick's actually started not too far from our hometowns, so it's a place we grew up with. We were at the mall early on Sunday taking a walk right before the store was opening, but got in line to scope it out. We were each one of the first 100 customers in the door, so we scored a $10 gift card each. This Dick's seemed a little bit smaller than some of the others I have been in. To be totally honest, I don't often shop at Dick's much since I find the prices to be on the high side. I usually find better deals on sporting goods like running shorts and sneakers at Marshalls. Also, if you are already at this mall, it is worth scoping out the Nike Outlet. This store does have a decent size shoe section, so it's probably good for specialty items for specific sports. They do have a good amount of sports items like lacrosse sticks, football gear, etc. I'm on the cheap side though, so if you aren't pinching pennies you might enjoy this store more than me. It is nice, new and brightly lit. This store has a lot of camping equipment too. Is that a thing in FL? I always think of that activity as something you do in the mountains of NY and CA. I had been eyeing the Yeti (30 ounce insulated mug/cup) for a while but didn't want to spend $30 on such an item. I ended up using our two free gift cards for this and only had to pay $11 out of my own pocket. I've been using that item for a week now and I really like it! read more

I totally mangled my bicycle tire trying to replace the tube. I first brought it to Fort Lauderdale location since closer and though the bike rep was extremely nice and helpful, he told me the tire was mangled so bad that I had to cut it but unfortunately they did not have new tires in stock. He said if I bring a tire back he'll put on for me with the new tube I already had. Looking online at the big dept stores seemed stock was low but Dick's Sawgrass Mills had one in stock and held it for me. Even though it was a 30 minute drive, I had time. While there anyway, I figured I might as well have the bike rep will take a look at my mangled mess I made trying to replace tube. Long story short, Jay, the employee who worked in the bike dept was able to salavage my tire so I did not even need one and installed the new tube that I didnt even buy there. So kudos to Jay who is the reason I am giving the 5 star rating. With that said, the Nishiki Tamarack bicycle I bought from the Sawgrass Mills location over a year ago I think is garbage despite the great ratings on the website. read more

Went in to try on and possibly buy a pair of brooks running shoes but here was no one available to get me the shoes or even find the right fit that they advertise on the website. I was a first time (potential) shopper in Dicks. I visited the store in the Sawgrass Mall. I needed a pair of sneakers. Huge store and no staff to help me and others in the sneaker dept. There were five other people looking for help. After about 5 min someone came out of the back and told a shopper that they didn't have their size. that shopper said he would go somewhere else. Now there were four other people plus myself that needed assistance. That employee ignored all of us and started walking towards the back while looking at his f'n cellphone. I said screw this and left. The big box retailers wonder why Amazon is killing them? Amazon kills them on price and service. Unless Dick's gets it together, they will eventually just be another corpse in the retail graveyard. I will neveer go back. I ended up ordering sneakers from amazon. read more

So I just want to say how upset I am not to say how disappointed my son will b when he doesn't have the new bat I already purchased online because this store closes 2-4 min early and when I called before 9:30pm, which is when they close, they said sorry we r closed and I said no it's 9:26pn they said sorry we are closed. I explained I already purchased the bat just need to pick it up and my son has a game tomm. The guy said we open tomm. At blah blah. I said I'm here out front he said sorry. So what ever u do, go to a different Dicks. This store clearly has no morals or work ethic and has no leadership management or the worker would have said just get in here before 9:30 and u will b good instead he told me they were closed and clearly not looking to help me out at all.
