I also have giant, flat, bunion-bedecked flippers that are notoriously hard to fit--which isn't a problem here, because they scan your feet to get a 3D model (cool!) and then spend all the time you need to find exactly what fits. I tried on numerous pairs and the nice young man helping me was very knowledgeable and never rushed me at all. I ended up with a new brand I'd never heard of before (Topo) and they've been fantastic--comfortable from the very first wear. With wonderful service like this, it's no wonder I recently went back to get another pair for walking and trails (updated Brooks model this time). My feet (and knees) are SO much happier now that I have the right fit. Prices seem to be standard list (not sure if there are sales), but that's OK; the 60-day return policy is very generous and I appreciate that they want to make sure you're happy with what you buy. Tip: yes, it may be busy here, especially on a weekend--there's usually someone running a list at the front (or ask at the counter), so just give them your name and they'll get to you!

I wish all of my interactions were as seamless, professional, and enjoyable, as transacting business with Laney. Perhaps a bit of background will better illustrate my enthusiasm. I have always admired AE's timeless quality, comfort, and aesthetic, and could not pass up on the deals available in AE's recent tent sale. But, this being my first purchase of AE shoes, I had very little, if any, knowledge of my foot's fit relative to a 5 last. A master shoe fitting would have been ideal, but, with the end of not disparaging, while giving praise to another, my circumstances effectively required me to take a leap of faith regarding the last's fit on my foot and principally rely upon objective criteria from a Brannock device. I enthusiastically dialed AE's Freeport Outlet. Laney answered the phone after two rings and processed my entire order within 6 minutes--impressive! I ordered a pair of 8D Walnut Strands and Black Park Avenues, and two AE aromatic cedar shoetrees. The shoes arrived in five business days from Port Washington, and the entire experience was perfect--well, except for my foot not fitting the 5 last in 8D. Feeling a bit defeated, but optimistic, I called Laney. As always, she was professional and sympathetic about my situation. She sent me a return label, took my order for two pairs of 7.5Ds, and, upon the returned shoes' arrival in Freeport, processed my exchange. Presumably the 7.5Ds would fit, right? Fast-forward three weeks later, after three orders placed, three exchanges processed, three pairs that did not fit my oddly shaped foot, and consistently exceptional service from Laney, I finally found a perfect fit--7EE. AE sartorial veterans and neophytes alike need to take further notice of Laney Johnson, and the world-class experience she delivers to her clients daily. I had tried those more expensive ones on already and they didn't fit quite right. She didn't push harder, but I didn't love the pressure. She did offer a bag for the shoes I came in with since I wanted to wear the sandals right away, which was a nice offer. Overall, really appreciate that they were here and the wide selection offered great choices.

My last one was purchased in 1993. It was a trusted friend. LLBean has excellent customer service. Had a problem recently that was resolved in a more than satisfactory way. I really do believe this company values its customer. They've been around for as long as I can remember and have always been the go-to source of quality winter merchandise.

After many failed attempts at getting to the gym (getting up and getting to the gym in the dark of winter with 10 degree temps takes some willpower!), we went to check out what the WFS had. They had a used Life Fitness elliptical, which was still somewhat pricey compared to some other brands you can find online, but Charlie told me, in an honest, not slimy sales guy way, that these machines last a long time with very little maintenance and they rarely got them used. I trusted him and now over 2 years later and through a move where it had to be broken down and set back up, it's still running amazing. Chris in the service department is also fantastic. I think the only reason someone wouldn't go here for exercise equipment is if you're just not in the know. Otherwise, it's a no-brainer. Support a local company staffed by friendly people, and top of that you don't have to go through all the annoyances of trying to deal with the big box stores and all their outsourcing of delivery, maintenance, etc. Thanks guys and keep up the good work!!

They have staff as soon as you enter trying to sell you on being a member and what not, annoying but can walk past them. It was nice enough to browse for awhile and waste time. Despite not being the largest Cabela's it is still very large. Also for yourself or if you have young ones seeing the animal displays is a great reason to stop by as well. I suspect the quality here has gone down in some part back when Bass Pro Shops acquired Cabela's considering they were the biggest competition of each other. Leading to a worse deal for us the consumers. Potential to be a favorite store for some!

I was shopping for my other 1/2 who loves Hawaiian style shirts. One of the staff was in the area, he assisted in my finding the perfect shirts & I bought him shorts plus a few other ditties. The gentleman in glass wear assisted in tightening my sunglasses & kindly cleaned them. The guy in menswear was more than helpful. The checkout pro heard a big crash when I was pulling gear out of my cart at his register. Those big candles make a thunderous noise. Oops. He was super cool & I was checked out quickly. I will return to add their names. All 3 deserve kudos for their professionalism & kind temperament. They are a +plus+ for Cabela's!! I'm sure they've some doozies which in fact happened to me at a 2nd visit. I saw a very young female in an outfit made more for "street-walking" opposed to Cabela's outfitters. Wearing a barely there outfit leaving too much hanging around with a pair of 4" pumps teetering through the aisles wasn't working. If the fit was more fitting all the more power. Some parts are better left unseen. With that being said I've likely dealt with variable situations in my youth. (My mother would call this unbecoming rip ) Cabela's is great!! Ty!!!
