This is the only tow company that would come to Camano Island to help us get a U-Haul Trailer out of our neighbors ditch at 11:30 at night. Used dicks towing the other day. My truck stopped on the highway. Was able to get to a safe exit. Told them it may just need gas so could they bring some. When the driver arrived put the gas in the truck and was good to go. The one star rating is for the bill. 320.00 dollars for 1 hour of time and 2 gallons of gas. This place is a scam. The owner himself scammed me in buying a car from him vindictively knowing that he had his guys change all the fluids in the vehicle before we came to test drive the vehicle I checked all the fluids before purchasing the car and noticed that the oil looked a little too clean so I figured they serviced it as I drove the car home it started to have a tick in the motor got home and checked out the car again and now the oil wasn't clean anymore and there was foam in the oil which is a bad headgasket the owner him self was living up to his name "Dick" cause that's the attitude he gave us the whole time while we were there I tried to come down on the price and he would not budge not even 100 bucks he's a piece of shit and he's not getting away with this one I'm the wrong dude we will see who's laughing in the end. Tried to play it off and said they take no responsibility, and that my permit should have been put in a "more visible area" (it's literally on the dash). He has no professional skills to put my car unto drive way that he chose to drive it which further ruined my head gasket leaking and engine losing compression. He informed me with text and saying he would only wait for 5 minutes since I was not at car location (very abusive), then he refused to take me back to my original car and just dumped me as soon as he dropped the car. What an old, ugly jerk of Dick's Towing; I ended up walking back to my car on my own. They are quick to grab the service by speed to out beat other towing company, yet it all showed crooks' tow by failing to complete the service since they hurried to "grab" another victims. My truck was impounded by Marysville PD after a recent traffic stop after a search warrant was executed they called Dick's. Dick's is literally right across the street so the driver didn't have to much travel time and could of come over at his/her convience since Dick's has the contract with the city to take searched vehicles across the street. I was told by Officer _____ that he would release my trick to me on Sunday Nov 17th after he searched it. Skip ahead to Wednesday Nov. 20 I learned my truck had been at Dicks since 11:20 am Sunday the 17th. I call to see if they would release it to me and was told I had to pay the hook up fee and 3 days storage. Hook up fee from one side of the road to the other, $225. 3 days at $75 a day equals more than I had. And it was end of day Wednesday so tack on one more day for good measure. +$75 The office manager at Dick's in Marysville was a very helpful and polite person to interact with. The drivers I encountered were more than friendly with one even watching my puppy while I went in. After many calls and arm twisting I was able to have my last check from a previous employer sent Western Union which I received 15 minutes before closing time at Dick's. Luckily they are also right across the street so I called the office manager a Dick's abd informed her I had $400 cash and the rest in a Western Union check. She says she'll call the owner and see what they could do. I arrive 5 minutes to 5 and an informed that the owner will not accept $400 cash and allow me an hour or two to cas_h and return the balance. Really?? I had the money in my pocket and was told the owner would not approve releasing my truck and letting me come back later to PIF. I can't even begin to explain how upset that made me. Now it's my fault I had my truck impounded but I was never charged with a crime and never even issued a ticket. If I had to push my SUV 10 miles uphill in a snowstorm I would instead of calling this horrible company. I was in VERY traumatic accident on I-5 (not my fault) and WSP called Dick's (appropriately named) to tow my SUV. I called them to see what the next step was, my car had been towed maybe 5 miles and was there for maybe one hour and it was $468 and change to have it "released ". It was the morning of Christmas Eve and my insurance company didn't want me to attempt to drive it since Dick's stated it was "leaking fluids". My insurance company called them to let them know they would be paying the fees and having a town truck pick it up on Monday and tow it to the body shop. I went in and spoke to a lady at the Stanwood location where my car was and emptied my vehicle of my belongings. I then received what I figured to be a standard letter letting me know I had 120 hours to pick it up or they would consider it abandoned and would auction it off. I called my insurance to make sure they didn't drop the ball with the tow, they set up a tow with another company that didn't show up. I arranged for another company to pick it up and accidentally called the Marysville Dick's location, the older man (judging from his voice) was EXTREMELY rude and abrasive. I was just explaining the situation and he belittled me for not giving the other tow company enough time. They were dispatched at 9:40am, scheduled to arrive by 12:32 pm, and never showed. I called them (Budget Tow) and they decided they wouldn't go until the next day, AFTER the 120 hour deadline. I canceled them and was made to feel like I was an idiot for not giving them enough time, what did he care? It wasn't his tow company that I cancelled!. It made me feel like it was a scam, like they were in it together and it was intentional to have my car listed as abandoned. I will NEVER use them again. I have never been tested so poorly by a company that I was paying for a service. I will also be speaking to WSP to let them know how Dick's treats their customers. This was so terrible. I honestly cannot imagine someone being more rude, condescending or unprofessional. We needed a tow and AAA unfortunately sent us Dick's (who live up to their namesake quite well, I believe). The guy came out with the wrong truck. We needed a flatbed, not a standard tow truck. We tried to flag him down when we saw he didn't have a flatbed. Instead of stopping and talking to us, he sped up and pinned it into reverse in front of our truck. We explained the situation and he STILL l wanted to hook up our car, which didn't have oil in the differential. We didn't want the differential fried when he tried to tow it the 30 miles home...hence the argument ensued. This man was so incredibly abrasive, I can't believe he even holds a job where he has to interact with customers (or other people at all...). He was incredibly rude about our truck and then told us he could tow us OR we could just wait another hour and a half for a flatbed (see previous comment about the fried differential). He took some photos, cursed under his breath and stormed off. In the meantime, he apparently cancelled our tow from AAA. This little gem was never communicated to us. We ended up having to borrow a friends trailer and haul the truck ourselves after two hours of waiting and then dealing with this situation. I would be completely understanding if they couldn't tow our non-running vehicle for whatever reason. However, there is absolutely NO NEED to be so disparaging and just plain mean. Communication that our tow was, in fact, cancelled would have also been a decent thing to do. We could have still been waiting for our flatbed that he had told us he was sending over... Based on the attitude of that one man alone, I will NEVER receive a tow from Dick's (even if I was stuck in the ghetto, in the middle of the night, alone, with only one call left to make on my cell phone battery....etc). read more

I called for a "to tell a 17 and a 1/2 foot boat. The lady asked for dimensions and I gave it to her in inches. She said she didn't know what that was. I'm going what?? Dicks really earned its name to night when a driver arrived had me hooked and I was sitting in the cab of his truck when he approached me and told me they would be sending another truck that he had been called out to a Washington State patrol accident. Now knowing a little bit about trucking having worked for a trucking company I can tell you the reason he took that job instead of keeping me and getting me to safety was because they are prevailing wage and pay the truck drivers more to take. So he took the job the paid more disregarding my safety and the fact that I would still have to wait for another truck and left. I never in my life have been told so many lies by their office woman Cheryl or sherris or Sherry I don't really care what her name was she didn't seem to care much about me either telling me that in fact my insurance had canceled that call and that's why he left the job when in fact that was not the case. The 2nd driver they sent was called away again by them because I was no longer with the vehicle due to the safety issues I faced being stranded on the side of the road on the I 5 freeway. I would never recommend dicks towing I will never recommend dicks towing and they really kept their name alive with how they acted. My feet were killing me and I was exhausted, I called AAA and the dispatch told me if be waiting for an hour. Worst customer service ever, was stuck between Everett and Marysville and called AAA, they sent out Dick's Towing, flatbed truck came out told them I need a tow into Marysville to my local repair shop, guy comes out and asks where I wanted towed too, he gets in on the flatbed and we head towards Marysville, he took the first exit and turned around and started heading to Everett, when ask why he says he knows a better place, I told him NO, I already have a place, he pulls over and say that he can't take me to Marysville, another truck will have to pick me up. 40 minutes later another Dick's Towing truck arrives and I'm told that if I want to switch to the other driver that it would cost $300 just for the switch, that AAA won't cover it. I called AAA back and was told that's not how its done, that I'm being scammed. After I told both drivers that I will not pay, the first driver then leaves with my car and drops it off at the repair shop I requested saying they would send the bill in the mail. Long story short, they billed me, billed AAA, billed the repair shop, and billed my ex, took 2 months for it to get worked out with calls daily from them threatening to send me to collections for not paying, Thank you AAA for sending an agent to deal with them. Luke was sent to help me tow my lowered vehicle from my house to Firestone in twin lakes to have it serviced. He loaded the vehicle on his flat bed with easy and without any complaints about the car being lowered. When we got to Firestone, the manager of the shop came out immediately to refuse servicing my vehicle because it was lowered. Mind you I have a good 5 inches of clearance if not a little bit more and they didn't even want to attempt to service it. This is all after I had gotten off the phone with them 1 hour prior and they said they could service it even though it was lowered. That's when Luke from Dicks called a shop that he had a good reputation with and drove the car there to have it taken care of. In terms of customer service, if it were possible to give higher than I 5 star rating I would. I have recently had three times I need to use Dicks Towing. The first time it was supposed to be a long wait up to 2 to 3 hours but they got there in about an hour and a half. The second time I was in that much of a rush we made an appointment and they were there on time. The third time I also made an appointment a couple days out and we were able to schedule a delivery. They came within 30 mins of when I called, and thank god, I was stuck in the middle of the freeway, my car wouldn't move. The driver was a little complainy about his day and how he's tired and stressed, and I did think it was a little over priced. $90 to hook it up then $4 every mile we drove, it took him less then 5 mins to hook up my car, and the place we dropped it off was 3 mins away. This guy smelled like he had taken a bath in liqueur the night before, so strongly it was offensive to say the least. I can understand a night out but this was the middle of the middle of the week man. So far .. not impress with dispatching. Was routed to Dick's towing th rough Nationwide Insurance for a lock out of my car. Called at 7:45 am was quoted and WTA of 8:55am and they didn't get there until 10am. They didn't even call to let me know they wouldn't make thr original ETA. Once he got there he said hi and went to wprk. No introduction, didn't check my photo ID, nothing. Only plus is how quick he got it unlocked but that's not hard if you have the correct tools.
