They receive tons of book donations from the community, which makes each trip feel fresh since there's always something new in rotation. The prices are amazing too--I walked out with 4 books for under $20, which is such a steal. The staff is friendly, the bookstore is clean and well organized, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and calm. This place is a staple in Stockton, and we keep coming back again and again. There were CD's mixed in with books and even some vinyl were scattered about the store with no apparent designated place for them to be. I understand with customers coming and going, it can be hard to stay on top of these things, but as someone that has retail book experience, it looks as if this place isn't even trying. They do have a decent selection of recent publications, however you would have to spend the entire day in order to find them. The used book pricing is enticing, but not enough to waste one's time inside.
