Great place! I stopped by here to dig through their record collection (they've got a great variety) but I was pleasantly surprised by everything else they had. This shop is full of collectibles. I bought a nice stack of $1 back-issue comic books. They also sell Magic the Gathering. The staff member was friendly and helpful. Located right in the cool, walkable part of downtown Tracy.

Amen. Sung by Sidney Poitier himself. And my Dad very frequently as he walked happily around the house.

I love the prices on the cd collection. The selection of vintage and current vynals should please anyone. I'll pick a few then stop looking or I'll never leave. The kid that owns the place is a "Blast from the Past" as well. Very friendly, with the manners of Opie Taylor. If anyone remembers Opie and his Pa.(sorry Logan.) . Go visit. You'll see.

    Welcome.

Walked in today to a brand new store. A fresh open space to wander and look at CDs and vinyl. Very attentive service from The owner who was very receptive to the fact that I was shook by the transformation. Definitely worth a stroll in.

This place is a hidden gem in Tracy. My boyfriend and I expected to see a store filled with comics, but to our pleasant surprise, they had a lot of vintage vinyls, comics, cds, etc. I found my favorite movie here. Funny story--when I was little I loved this movie sooo much that I hid the cd to keep it safe, but I hid it so well, I forgot where I hid it. BUT YAY, I was able to buy another copy today. I would recommend this place to collectors and those that just want a "blast from the past."

Over priced for records that are scratched. Decent selection though. Surprised to see a place this big in Tracy.

This time we visit Retroactive because I was in search for some games for my Nintendo DS lite. I found 2 games and I was so happy. The price was reasonable and i love it. We also speak with the owner and he was so nice and helpful. We were talking about games and we notice that he really loves what he is doting his store. We really recommend this store. I am so glad that we have this store near to our home. You can also find vintage vinyl records, PlayStations games, Xbox games and more. We enjoy our time and our kids were so happy.

From vintage gaming to records across all genres, this place has it all and is quickly becoming a Suisun City favorite and Bay Area day trip destination. Retroactive also hosts shows in their space which are a ton of fun and bring the community together. We left with an Xbox storage component to increase the memory of the console. It was a great value at half the cost of what we found at online merchants and we were happy to support a local business. We also couldn't resist the store merch and got a sweatshirt and t-shirt!

One of the worst selling experiences I've had at a record store…read more I dealt directly with one of the owners, AJ, and the entire interaction felt disrespectful, evasive, and extremely shady. I brought in records to sell and simply asked what he was valuing a couple of them at individually. Instead of giving me a straight answer, he got defensive, kept saying he could find them elsewhere, and repeatedly tried to steer the conversation back to one bundle price. The biggest red flag was my East Side Story record. AJ clearly had a strong interest in it, but when I asked what he valued that specific record at, he still refused to give me a direct number. If you know enough about a record to specifically want it, you should be able to tell the person standing in front of you what you're valuing it at. I do not care if a store offers me less than market value. Businesses need to make money and I understand that completely. What I do care about is transparency. Don't act like someone is stupid just because they're young. Don't dodge basic questions and expect someone to blindly accept a bundle price without understanding what you're assigning value to. The whole interaction left me feeling like he was hoping I didn't know what I had so he could get a much better deal for himself. If your prices and offers are legitimate, there should be absolutely no reason to be secretive when a customer asks how you arrived at them. Being an owner doesn't give you an excuse to talk down to people, become defensive over basic questions, or make a customer feel like you're trying to pull one over on them. Young does not mean naive. I knew enough to ask questions, and the fact that those questions were met with attitude instead of answers told me everything I needed to know. I walked out with my records, and I'm glad I did.
