When we first moved to our current home and started shopping here, I loved this store. I loved it for years! The staff were great, the products offered were wonderful, the store was well stocked, etc. Not so much anymore. I still shop there out of convenience. And honestly, out of laziness. I don't want to have to learn another store! I put my grocery list in order of the store and it saves a lot of time - no going back and forth. Over the years, some of the best employees have left. I know some retired, and some moved to another location. But I know some left because the company was no longer the good company it used to be. I know this because that's what I was told by some of the staff before they left. The employees are no longer as friendly as the staff used to be. Are there still some friendly employees there - of course. But most of them are not. The product selection has suffered. Things I bought for years are no longer carried here. I've been lied to when I've asked about a product. I've been told more than once that a product they used to carry is no longer being made. Interesting. Other stores carry those products. And often there are huge gaps on the shelves - it isn't always a well stocked store. Half the time I'm shopping, I can't get down all the aisles because they're stocking shelves and taking up a lot of room. Don't even get me started on how much expired food I find there! And I'm not talking about a day or two beyond the expiration date. I'm talking weeks and even months. The produce isn't as good as it used to be and neither is a lot of the meat. It's sad how much this store has gone downhill. I definitely need to work on learning my way around another store!

This is so close to home it will certainly be our place for Indian cooking ingredients. They have a very complete array of the things you would expect. It is not a large place, but I was impressed with their selection. For example, you expect the extensive range of pre-mixed masalas for every conceivable dish, but Bombay Bazar has this array in at least four major brands. It is almost overwhelming. The breadth of selection is true for most areas, from rice to flour to any of the dry pulses you could want. They also have a good refrigerated section as well as some fresh produce. Since having some very good Channa Masala in Chicago last weekend, I have been craving Indian cooking. This visit aggravated that condition. Bombay Bazar is a welcome addition to the community. This location seems to have a really good selection of cheese. They have a lot of choices to make a nice charcuterie board. I was surprised how many plant-based options that they now stock. They are scattered throughout the store so you have to look for them. Prices are great and the produce looks nice. Bring a quarter for the grocery cart and bring your own bags so you don't have to buy them.
