MK Decks was difficult to work with when we had our deck built last fall. Misha and James do not…read morecommunicate well with each other, and barely communicated with us, disappearing for days at a time. We would get no response when asking when they would return. They missed a key waterproofing step so they would not do the under deck ceiling we had in the contract. They then demanded payment before the trash and leftover materials were removed from our yard (payment after removal was part of the contract), harassing us for two days; showing up at the house and calling over 30 times in 4 hours one day. Misha placed a notice of lien on our window while trash and materials were still there. Had they not regularly disappeared for days, we probably would have paid them when they asked, but we didn't want be stuck with a 20 ft long pile of trash in the front yard or dealing with someone to pick up the leftover materials because they had their money and felt no need to return. I wouldn't recommend MK Decks, aka MK Design and Build. If Deckorators or Trex sends you a referral for a company, do plenty of research! Don't end up frustrated like we did.
