I've been a customer now for 6 weeks. Overall the meals are really tasty and I really like the variety. It's great that you can substitute meals. Lots of pasta and veggies in the vegetarian diet. It's so freaking convenient. My boyfriend and I are both down 5-7lbs because we don't have to think about cooking our own meals. I do agree that some dishes lack flavor, but that's why I have a million hot sauces!! The only real downside is the amount of styrofoam. I feel bad throwing it away each week. Five starts for the entries, which are great and fit with pretty much any diet. It took me a while to adjust to 'healthy' -- yes, I do have a preference to white rice rather than the healthier choice of wild rice, but have adjust easily. I will most likely stay with the meals once I reach my goal weight. I prefer to pop the meals in the oven for 20-30 minutes rather than the microwave and get a more even reheat. The four stars rating is due to the vegetables. They generally are water logged and I throw them out and use canned veggies or fresh. read more

I was given the opportunity to try diet to go and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The set up process was super easy and the box was delivered with no issue. I had the box delivered to my job so that it wouldn't sit it until I got home from work. It was pretty insulated but I threw it in the fridge just to be safe. I get with services like this there would be waste but there was just so much as each meal was packed in its own private container. Once I unpacked it was a good amount of food (I chose the balanced plan) a few lunch bags to take the lunches to work and an information sheet explaining all the food. I appreciate the information on the top of each container telling you ingredients and warming instructions. The meals that I tried were overall pretty tasty. A few of the items had a watery feel to them after reheating, like the omelette but I'm never a fan of reheated eggs. But overall things were pretty flavorful. I was shocked and surprised at how many of the items retained flavor. Crowd favorites were the Tuscan boats and the egg pie. I can't imagine myself using a service like this for everyday stuff but I could see it being my breakfast meal prep (minus the omelette) I enjoy a quick easy out the door kind of breakfast. read more

At the time I previewed this meal plan, my gym was participating in the program. Although they no longer participate however, Diet to Go now delivers directly to your home I hear. I'm very familiar with this service as my mom lost about 40lbs, ~8yrs ago using it. I was offered 3meals for 5days based off my high protein, low carb food plan. Given, I travel for work, I didn't bring food with me on the road as I feared TSA would throw it away. However, I did eat on weekend. To preserve everything, I stored my meals in my freezer and microwaved 6-8 mins to eat. I was very impressed by the lunch & dinner options. Very flavorful & delicious. Didn't need salt or anything. There were 2 fresh lunch options that I ate together as I didn't find them filling enough separately. I will say, the fresh options were my favorite as opposed to the ones requiring microwave. I haven't had a chance to review the menu options, but if I did it again and was stationary, I'd choose ones with fresh veggies instead of cooked ones. As for the breakfast, it was ok aside from the egg/omelet option. I found myself adding cheese to it to make it more palatable. There wasn't a protein rich dessert option which saddened me, so I supplemented with my own. Overall, I was very impressed by the foods offered. There's honestly something or every palate. It took me a month to complete the week work of food I was provided due to my travel. I can report that, in following my food plan on the road, eating these meals at home plus exercise, I did lose weight. For me, I need each meal to contain at min 30g of protein so I would chose those meals that provided that. I think I'm going to join for a month because it was very convenient to have these meals as an option. I have plenty of friends who want to test their bodies and lose weight. I've already told them about this plan option. For me, I just hope there is a way to opt out of breakfast when I officially sign up. read more

6 weeks later: Despite telling me that they would never stop using the horrible new cardboard sleeves with the labels on the bottom of each meal where you cannot read them without turning them upside down, nevertheless, they are indeed stopping that awful practice. And the plastic seal on each meal has been extremely improved so that there's no longer fluids leaking all over the place during transit. This is enough for me to change my rating back to 4 stars. I've been a Diet-to-go customer on and off over the years, the packaging of the meals is a real issue. In the last year I've received several meal shipments with opened food trays, where the plastic film didn't seal properly, and food liquids leaking all over the place. Even more so, packaging with massive cracks down the side, leaking liquids from a cream-based turkey salad. It's messy and unsanitary. It would be one thing if they offered prompt customer service and offered to replace or refund those meals, but my repeated emails to their customer service line have gone unanswered. How can a customer have confidence in a product if a business won't even address their concerns? I'm not paying $15 per meal for something that's leaking, opened, and I have no clue how long the plastic film has been broken. In one recent shipment, 3 out of 6 meals had broken seals or trays, but the fact that their customer service reps won't even respond or address the issue should be a HUGE red flag to anyone considering DTG. read more

This diet plan is super convenient. The food is always good, and sometimes amazing! The delivery is always on time and the food is packaged extremely well so I don't worry about spoilage. I only gave four stars because the keto plan is too low in protein and too high in calories to achieve ketosis and weight loss for me. So I had to drop one meal per day and increase my protein. Otherwise, the pre-measured and packaged portions are really helpful to keep to plan. I had a couple of problems with one of the packages being opened, and the Customer Service people were really helpful! Great stuff. read more

The food is terrible. I would definitely lose weight on this program because I would rather eat nothing. The steak was grey and almost gelatinous in its water bath. Several other dishes (like the Monte Cristo) seemed like they were made from the rejected remnants of other meals. I have nothing good to say about the quality of this service. I've still been eating out a bit so any lack of weight loss is my own fault!!! Confessions out of the way!!! I am enjoying diets to go!!! I especially enjoy breakfasts that contain eggs. Just received my first Diet-to-Go box today and thankfully I hadn't eaten lunch yet! I opened up the box to find a very well insulated and cooled container with 9 separate meals prepackaged for easy microwave preparation which translates to easy mobility to take to work or even on travel! The meals are made fresh, refrigerated, then delivered after packaging that will store either 7 days in your own refrigerator or up to a month in the freezer! So convenient! I was impressed with the organization and nutritional value of each of my meals, they all left me extremely satisfied and quite full. They are labeled either breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but in true Amanda fashion, I do what I want and had dinner for lunch and breakfast for dinner, depending on what I was craving. Like any good diet food (and in order to please the masses), the seasoning is lacking but just a little salt and pepper gave me exactly what I was looking for personally. Each person is different, but its better to be under seasoned than over in my opinion; easy to add, hard to remove. :p The chicken Marsala with broccolini mixed veggies was my favorite by far! The chicken breast was perfect, juicy and easily cut with a fork. There was just enough Marsala and mushrooms to cover each piece I cut and I just really enjoyed the entire meal! Added some salt and pepper to the veggies of course, but it was wonderful to have a fresh meal that literally took me 3 minutes to open, cook, then eat. So easy! Some of the other meals that were enjoyable was the breakfast omelette and the tuna fish does look weird but has great flavor once you mix it together. Great plans, great food and great customer service. My husband and I have been using diet to go for about a month. He's lost 10 pounds already! The food is really good. Of course I have my favorites. Definitely don't feel like I am dieting. They use lots of fiber filled ingredients that make you feel full and satisfied. Anytime I have an issue I email them and they respond within minutes. I used them a few years ago and they were great; I thought they would be ideal given this current quarantine situation- couldn't have been more wrong. The first week was fine, then, by each week, the quality got worse and worse. Towards the last 2 weeks of delivery, food was broken in pieces, like someone had torn it apart, food was tasteless and bland. This last week, however, was the final straw- several of their fruit cups had leaked all over the food (for the record, the fruit cups are cheap and tasted disgusting) so everything was soggy and to make matters worse- several of the meal trays were broken, so the disgusting fruit cups had seeped over everything. Almost $160 down the drain. I've never seen a company go so down hill so quickly. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone- a happy meal at McDonalds would have been better. Seriously. read more

The fat grams in calories in most meal are at unacceptable levels if you're eating these for lunch and dinner. I've gained 3 pounds in two weeks. I spoke with a representative before I started this diet. I informed them that I had a heart condition and then I'm a senior citizen. Still, they recommended this diet. Each meal has an unacceptable level of saturated fat which contributes to heart disease. I don't think the meals were worth anything close to $16. I would not recommend this diet. read more

If you are half as busy as I am than this is the plan for you!!! My husband and I travel A LOT for work...for instance this month, I have been home for a total of six days so far and that is not a lot of time, he was only home for three of those six so cooking for two and preparing food is a little out of our capacity months like this because we end up wasting so much food. The package that I ordered had 3 breakfasts, lunches, and dinners which was perfect for the time frame I was looking for...now there seemed to be a little snafu since one of my lunches was missing when I opened the box BUT I emailed them, had a response within 8 hours, and they were more than accommodating when trying to fix the mix-up. Their customer service is really top notch! And I am not just saying that, I was super impressed with the speed and hospitality. Now on to the food...can you say YUM! And if you are like me (and thousands of other women) who are working within the Weight Watchers point system than this is a great plan for you. My "Balance 1200" foods included: 3 Breakfasts - all of these came with fruit too which was a great addition but served in little plastic containers so I would prefer to buy my own fresh fruit to supplement. Veggie and Cheese Omelet - this was yummy and actually more than I could eat so I shared it with my husband...he really liked it too! Waffles and Blueberry Cream Cheese - the waffles were similar to Eggo BUT the cream cheese...mmmmm!!! MMM... 3 Lunches Chicken Pesto Salad - this is the one meal that was missing from my delivery but I bet it was tasty!!! Tuna Salad - I have to admit I was a little weary about this one BUT YUM YUM YUM, it had a little kick to it that made it worthwhile. It also came with carrot sticks so no carbs...JUST FLAVOR. This may have been my favorite meal of the week! Field Greens Salad with Chicken - All of their products come in their own packaging and it is great to take to work...this salad was REALLY BIG...just mixed greens galore...so good and super filling. I was afraid of the chicken being slimy but it wasn't it was delicious and all white meat too! 3 Dinners Sliced Turkey - if you love Thanksgiving Dinner than this is a meal for you...it comes with potatoes, turkey, gravy, and green beans. No cranberry though if that is what you are looking for. If you have every had a frozen turkey dinner, this is similar but tastier! Blacked Salmon - this came with pureed deliciousness, it was a green mix of brussels sprouts and cauliflower and it was yummy! The salmon was a healthy portion and was perfect for dinner. Johnny's Veggie Pizza - this is like ten steps up from and English Muffin pizza and it's already made for you on whole wheat crust. My absolute favorite was the side of broccoli (it's my favorite food of all time!) My only wish is that there were more broccoli!!!! I am loving "diet to go". I opted for the plan that includes 5 lunches and 5 dinners. I have been getting meals from "diet to go" for a month now and I have lost 11 pounds. I did this diet several years ago for a few months and did well with it, so when my daughter wanted to diet before her wedding, I suggested that we do the Diet-To-Go together. I'm not one to hop on the scales. I just go by how I look and how my clothes fit. It's only been a couple of weeks, but I can already see results. The food is ready to eat except for some heating, and it offers a good variety and is delicious! We are on the 5-day vegetarian plan. After one month I'm very pleased, and will continue indefinitely. The Keto 30 Plan is perfect for me. I'm losing weight while I eat chef quality combinations and preparations that are so tasty. The variety sold me - other meal deliveries had far less diversity and number of meals than Diet-To-Go. Very user-friendly. I can change or omit any meal coming up in the next delivery, and it stays that way when it rotates back to that week's menu in 5 weeks, with a note of my change. I can order any one, two or three meals, as many days a week as I want, and change it as often as I want. No more planning, shopping or cooking. Deliveries are on-time, well packed, kept cold. Out of all the meal plans this one by far has the worst tasting food, which stinks because they are more expensive than many others. We steam fresh broccoli for our dog everyday, she would not eat the broccoli out of these. My husband said the turkey burger was OK. The Don's chicken we all tried but neither of us took a second bite. Eggplant parmigiana gave my husband some pretty bad stomach aches. I tried to cancel online after work Thursday, did not see anywhere that was possible like on Hello Fresh. Well I called on my lunch break Friday but it was 2 hours past their deadline cancellation. I was told there was absolute no way I could have the order cancelled or be refunded. I would have much rather used this money to do my own grocery shopping. read more

The food is good but I once received a meal without the film cover. I am confused about the pretzel bun turkey sandwich. When I first got it it said 500 calories. On another delivery they added cheese anthe calories were 370. Some of my favorites are Johnny's special pizza. It should be cooked in the oven rather than the microwave. I was shocked at how delish this food is. I'm trying to reduce my sugar consumption & went with the Keto option. I got 10 meals a week, lunch & dinner. Sometimes I'd open a package and think- " looks like it will be dry " or "idk about this one" and I am astounded at how jazzed my tastebuds are! All of the meals are fantastic. I have texture issues and often will toss something that has a good flavor because the texture is so bad my mouth dries like the desert. Not these meals. Keeping my freezer stocked!
