I've ordered 3x now I believe and I would have to say the last delivery was the absolute best. I love Asian foods and he hit it out the park that week. Food taste: In other weeks, I've had to add my own sauces. I always order the deluxe portion for 20% more food because the regular size is too small for me. I cook and add more veggies because most prepared foods don't give me enough. The only thing I needed to add to these last meals were a pinch of salt, but this makes sense because the food is made for all types of people. Delivery: I love the fact that the food is delivered to my doorstep. They deliver on Sundays and seem to be providing service every other week now. This was my first time doing a meal prep service and thought it was great. Saves so much time shopping, cleaning and coming. All the meals were solid with really good flavor and they kept well. My ranking would probably be 1. Peruvian Spiced Salmon 2. Red lentils and chicken 3. Beef & Potatoes 4. Mexican Street Corn Mac. I liked that they include the macros on the label for you to see easily. It's healthy, simple, but delicious! This is my first time trying a meal delivery service. I am just about to start a major kitchen reno and didn't want to eat take out every single night, so I decided to give Chef Swole a try before the reno starts. I have to say, my husband and I are VERY pleased and have gone past our one week "trial run" and are now entering our third week. First, I feel like I spend wayyyy more money than this at Whole Foods every week, and only get a few meals out of it. Second, I am a working mom, and by the time I get home after being stuck in traffic, cooking is the last thing I want to do. Dinner is done, and I can spend more time with my daughter when I get home. Third, the food is really, really good. Ingredients are high quality and what I'd make at home if I had the time. Fourth, portions are awesome. We signed up for the deluxe, and I split my meal with my daughter (15 months old) and I am more than full. My husband is always full off of one meal too. I just had my first meal (baked cod with brown rice and brussel sprouts) and I must say that it was delicious! The meal was cooked just right; Not salty and not overcooked or dry. The website is very easy to order from and gives clear information on when to order so that your food is ready for specific delivery/pickup days. I like that you can build your meal and have a choice of portion sizes. You also get updates on your order status and delivery/pickup reminders. I am someone that has been trying to clean up my diet forever - the hardest part for me has always been cooking well enough where I still want to eat what I cooked a day or two later (I try to cook in bulk). Over time - I have tried various meal service plans (Jenny Craig and Diet to Go) but neither one of them stuck (the food portions were built for someone much smaller than me and the food was just blah). Luckily - I found Chef Swole. Chef Swole - when compared to other places appears to be bare bones (some of these others places...their websites are just wow)....but what it lacks in a website bang it makes up with healthy, nutritious food that is delicious and much more affordable than their peers. Their bulk food option is amazing....I usually buy that and then just transfer the food smaller Tupperware containers that I have at home. While I have tried most of their food - their flank steak, salmon, blackened chicken and zucchini are just mouth watering. Their other options are great as well but the items above are my winners. Other great things about Chef Swole - they deliver food to you twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays) and their delivery charge is tiny. Finally - to anyone on the fence because the price seems high. Consider this - ever since I started buying food from Chef Swole - I have only gone out to eat 3 times. Usually when my friends go and get food - I join them but don't eat because the food that I have at home is better than what they are eating. The money I have saved by buying from Chef Swole is A LOT. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

My wife and I love their meals. Cooked to perfection and always well balanced in terms of macros and calories intake. We had a few hiccups when we switched from delivery to pick up, but it was quickly resolved, and they even followed up with us apologizing for the inconvenience. The only downside is the, sometimes, unpredictable time of delivery, which can leave a customer waiting at home for most of the Sunday (meals are not delivered refrigerated), and this is the reason why we opted later for picking up. We believe it is because the quick, and maybe unexpected, popularity, which is definitely a good thing. They always send a text and email within 30/45 minutes before the delivery, but if you have plans for the day, it is something that must be considered.
