Brisket and steak pho
Jay R.

Amazing pho! Super flavorful. The woman who cooked my food was super sweet. Seemed a bit overwhelming in there cause there was a power outage so they were only taking cash or Venmo/zelle and lunch rush. I'm assuming her daughter helps her out but she was taking orders while her mom cooked. Food was really good but I did take it to go and realized they forgot a few things for my pho. Maybe some lime? Or the bean sprouts ? Some jalepenos? I'm sure like I said they were overwhelmed. Overall I would go back again. Tasty ! Didn't even know this place was here until I searched for the closest pho spot. Thanks!

Half of the bahn mi ga ($8)

LORTON, Va. - That's one darn good bahn mi. The missus and I stopped by this strip mall diner on a Sunday midday. A few customers but plenty of available seating. Clean. Very no-frills interior. It's an odd sort of 'we have American diner food like burgers and pancakes, plus several bahn mis and phos.' Quite inexpensive. Our grilled chicken bahn mi was $8, freshly made and, again, darn good. The bread was lightly grilled for a nice crunch. Summer roll appetizers ($6) was two burrito-sized spring rolls, again freshly made. The nam dihn pho ($14) was quite good, with these nice slices of whole ginger in the broth, giving it a zesty zip. Dishes came out one at a time as they were prepared, presumably. So call ahead for takeout. We shall return. A very 4.25 experience.

The food is fresh and new. The location is clean. The store is very much like a hidden gem. They have American and Vietnamese food. It's local and convenient. The service is top notch, very much like a family owned business. There is so much drink options, chips, bakery items, and much more. It feels like a one stop shop at an aunties place. Can't wait to come ba

Summer rolls

My brother and I swung by this strip mall since there multiple eateries and will visit them at a later date. This small cafe is on a corner lot, parking is limited but manageable. As you walk in, there are limited seatings, friendly staff and restaurant is clean. We ordered 5 items: 1) Summer rolls 2) Banh mi 3) Chicken pho 4) Shaking beef 5) Grilled lemongrass pork. The summer rolls were delicious and generous portion. The banh mi was filled with the essential condiments, grilled pork, crispy outer crust and delicious but was missing some heat like jalapeño. I decided to get the chicken pho, before adding anything I like to taste the broth which was filled with umami. Be careful with your first bite because that broth is piping hot but delicious. The shaking beef served with white rice was tasty and the meat was tender. The lemongrass pork was well charred, seasoned and amazing. It was served with white rice, fresh vegetables and pickled daikon with carrots. There are some items on the menu that will need extra time to prepare and you will need to call ahead like their banh xeo. I will make another visit to try other items on this large menu.

Steak and brisket pho.

I went in feeling under the weather but definitely had a great experience. Came here from Woodbridge around 9am because it was the only location that was open for pho and was not disappointed. Pho was hot and delicious. Egg rolls were crispy and flavorful. Service was quick and excellent. The restaurant was a small, nice and quiet area. Would definitely recommend.

Underrated discoverd gem. The meat in your pho is so good and the broth is so flavorfull. Other pho places you cant really taste the meat because they are mainly frozen but here it tastes fresh and flavorfull. The noodles were a different taste for me since i always had the straight spaghetti looking ones unlike these wide ones but they were still good. Ill rather come here then the one in saratoga shopping center. The people were nice and helpful. Only complaint is the place is pretty cold (66F) but everything else was fine. Will come here again 9/10

Broth is on point and meat is fresh. My favorite pho place in VA. Restaurant is run by a friendly auntie.

Soon as you walk in through the revolving door, you are greeted with a wood fire grill aroma that makes your sense of smell scream omg what is that and I'll take 2 please. There was no wait time, we were instantly seated at a small both for two. And yes the seats are comfortable. I would have loved to be seated next the the staircase because it has some nice sight lines. The restaurant is so clean and nicely decorated as if you stepped into a homey yet lux cabin restaurant. It just feels....comforting. There were a lot of people dining here but the noise level was surprisingly minimal. The service is impeccable. Every waiter was attentive. Someone even asked us if we wanted another drink when our glasses were full. Never in my life has that happen to me. Lol The server was very knowledgeable about everything and left me to decided between all the wonderful options they offer. And they have OPTIONS. I heard the steak is banging. I'll be back... Now let's talk about these Ozzie dinner rolls. Bomb! End of story. And in my Nike voice....Just do it. In other words stuff your face and get some to go. I got blessed with 2 baskests and a bag to go. Won't he do it. My son enjoyed his little Mac aka his burger and fries but was too full to finish the fries because he stuff his face with Ozzie dinner rolls. So be careful yall. You have been warned. I orderer the pecan trout which was a very interesting take on baked fish and yet it was still good. I'm not raving about it. But it was good. Nice thing is they give you to pieces of trout 1 for now and 1 for later because yes I stuffed my face with those darn Ozzie rolls. Smh I had my eyes set on that deep dish apple pie and I shall return to try it and other menu items..like that banging steak. My leftovers hit the spot. I had enough for a whole lunch the next day. Saved me extra resources. Everything tasted even better the next day. Like the seasoning settled in and exploded into deliciousness. Peoples I say this with love...Don't come here because I don't want yall taking up all the free parking spaces available. Lol this is my new go to spot.

My experience with the bartender (name he provided: DC) was disappointing. After he finished serving another group, I got his attention, but he looked at me, then turned away and walked off to talk to a colleague. I waited, and he didn't come back, so I had to go out of my way to get his attention again. When I finally got his attention again, I asked about the chocolate cupcakes options and which one he recommended, his response was dismissive. He replied "neither," mentioned he preferred vanilla and walked away without helping further. The interaction felt unwelcoming and lacked basic customer service. It had a hint of prejudice. I spoke with the manager because the experience was uncomfortable and not what I expected. If you're in a customer-facing role, professionalism and respectful interaction should be consistent. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Despite the crowd, service was pleasant and efficient. This is a compact, rather snug restaurant. We were seated at a two-person table next to another two-person table. It was as if we were seated with the next table because the only separation was a shoulder-high board. But that was okay. JP wanted a low-carb breakfast and he was able to order what he wanted: slice tomatoes with bacon and a poached egg. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with brown gravy. I also ordered a glass of grapefruit juice. The grapefruit juice was excellent, full flavor and not sweet, like it's the real deal. I also ordered a chocolate shake. It was great and attractively presented with a cherry on top, but I had a momentary lapse and forgot to photo it. The country fried steak was excellent. It came with very good hash browns (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside), scrambled eggs and toast. Bonus points to Bob and Edith's for buttering the toast. But I'm gonna take those bonus points away because the oleo was spread on cooled-off toast and didn't melt. There's something ironic about having a decadent breakfast right in back of the LA Fitness where I work out. But that's okay, we will be back! **Note: after initially posting this review, a pop-up Compensated Alert Activity message from Yelp appeared on the B&E Yelp page saying that Yelp had evidence (a photo of a sign) that B&E's was offering a $10 certificate to write a favorable review on the various platforms including Yelp.
