Last minute hemming was done in just a couple hours and exactly the way I wanted it. I ordered a dress off Amazon (screenshotted) and needed the awkwardly longer parts to be cut shorter and hemmed. The quality & my happiness was definitely worth the price! The hem thread color and wasn't a perfect match but that's impossible to expect - the color was pretty close and only noticeable up close. I love this store!! The clothing is gorgeous - unique yet utterly wearable. I picked out a short sleeved version of the gorgeous Blanc Crew Neck shirt for a friend's birthday. He reported back that it fits as if it were tailored exactly for him. The material is buttery soft and drapes beautifully. It's truly an elegant, dressy garment even while being described as a performance top. For myself I picked up a slim black pencil skirt decorated with three rows of satin and bows. This place has really fashion forward styles that are not to far out. Since they design their own clothing what you buy here can't be found any where else. I like the quality of their garment; the colors never seem to fade nor do the garments shrink or tear. Also, the feel and fit is just perfect on me. Some of the best clothes I own. A must visit if you are into one-of-a-kind menswear and custom tailoring. I was in town for a 3 day convention at the expo center and had decided ahead of time that I was going to explore the area for unique men's fashion. I had selected 3 places from a Yelp search and Different Regard was first on the list - mainly because it was closest to the Hilton and easy to get to and fro. I never made it to the other places. It began and ended here. You will get what you pay for with these two aspiring gentlemen. They have created a fantastic boutique demonstrating talent and creativity. It is a unique place with a different regard for the new men's look - fashionable, hip yet traditional and touching conservative depending on what item you're looking at. They have an excellent portfolio of swatches as part of their custom tailoring service. There may not be a large customer base in Baltimore for this however it will benefit with more growth and development. Their prices are reflective of fabrics and style. It isn't cheap but it is real and personal. I will certainly return and intend to test their bespoke skills. read more

I've been to Different Regard in the past with my husband as he collected some beautiful pieces and I was always impressed by their good taste, originality, and professionalism. It wasn't until recently that I purchased a dress for myself. Based on one of their gorgeous pieces in the shop, together we selected a different shade of fabric and style details that would complement me and they made the dress specific to my measurements. I got a suit for my wedding at Different Regard, and it was a great experience. I am too tall and skinny for off-the-rack suits at any store I've ever been to, but I was concerned that getting a custom suit would be too expensive. Since I live in Mount Vernon and read other Yelp reviews, I decided to try Different Regard. I made an appointment with Dominick, and he showed me a bunch of fabric options, starting with the cheapest ($500). I was originally leaning towards gray, but Dominick suggested navy, and that was definitely the right choice. I eventually chose a $900 fabric, and Dominick took my measurements. I also got a custom shirt ($100) and a pocket square. This appointment took about 4 hours, which was longer than I expected, but I appreciated the thoroughness. They also offered me drinks and made sure I was comfortable. The total cost, with tax, was $1,107. Later, I bought a tie for $25. After the first appointment, it took 8 weeks for my suit to arrive, and I came in for a fitting. They had to remake the shirt because it didn't fit, and they made some minor alterations to the suit. About 3 weeks later, I came back for the final fitting. They made one more adjustment to my suit pants while I waited, and then I was done. It was a long process, but I told them that I had plenty of time before my wedding, and I think they could have done it faster if I had a more urgent schedule. Overall, I highly recommend Different Regard. I had no idea how good I could look in the right suit, and my wife loves it too! I plan to keep wearing this suit for years to come - it's the one wedding expense that was really worth it! read more
