As we write your final review -Roderick, Lilianna (LIPI HVAC) - Action Air is FIXING the existing…read morefurnaces, and adding 2- 5 Ton A/C units. We paid for and have a signed contract for the existing furnaces and a 10 ton A/C unit. Your company refused to complete or refund our money for a 10 ton A/C residential unit. The commercial 3 phase A/C unit that you purchased; will never work in a 1 phase residential area. We emailed you regarding the removal/refund of this unit -and I QUOTE your email " WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS" - even when you purchased the wrong equipment - WITH OUR MONEY. Action Air is going to modify the furnaces to meet the manufacturers requirement for return air supply, and install our A/C system. Also, do not make a return comment to say " that you tried to stay within our budget." Our final cost was significantly higher without a working 10 ton A/C unit. We signed a contract for a 1- 10 ton A/C unit. We even said we would accept 1 - 5 ton unit. AFTER, you let us know that it would require MAJOR modifications to our existing system, to install 2- 5 ton units. Again, this was YOUR ERROR. Here we are 6 weeks later - NO email to say you had located a unit, until you got our email saying. We are DONE ! Then amazingly you were "just trying to find the time for the install". NO MORE games ! Perhaps you should find the supplier that Action Air uses. They have located and delivered 2 -5 ton units within 4 days. Oh yes, we are not surprised you will NOT honor your warranty on the heating system you installed. We didn't expect you would- just another broken promise. No MORE Games - We are done.

I cannot recommend Meldon HVAC enough! I called on Sunday morning because my furnace was blowing…read morecold air, and a technician was at our house in Lawrence within the hour. Not bad at all considering the company is Madison County based. The tech was super friendly and courteous (and didn't at all mind are pups wild behavior upon his arrival). He was able to quickly determine that the issue was our thermostat kicking on the A/C rather than the furnace. From there, he took a look at our digital thermostat and recognized that the issue rooted from some settings misconfigured in an internet reset. He fixed those issues AND rewired the set up to prevent it from happening again. All told, the visit lasted maybe 30 minutes and the issue was diagnosed and repaired. The real kicker? As I pulled out my checkbook, I was told that the entire visit fell under diagnostic service, which was being offered free as part of a promotion they were having! Many other companies wouldn't have thought twice and charged us hourly rates for the rewiring that took a matter of moments or, at the very least, tried to upsell me on a bunch of services we didn't need. So, we greatly appreciate their honesty! So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a good, ethical company with reasonable rates (not to mention awesome deals and promotions), quick service, and courteous techs, then don't think twice about calling Meldon HVAC! As new homeowners, they are now our go-to people for heating and cooling services.

I called Summers because we needed a fairly simple plumbing repair and because there was an online…read morecoupon. The plumber fixed the issue, then encouraged us to consider purchasing a maintenance package, which would cut the price of that service call as well as future calls and would discount the cost of any repairs and supplies. Most importantly, he said, the company would come to our house three times a year to evaluate, maintain, and repair any issues with with plumbing and HVAC. We usually avoid warranty and service packages, so I wasn't sure whether my husband would agree to it. But, the plumber said he could set up the maintenance plan, then cancel it if my husband opposed the idea. We went ahead and purchased the maintenance plan. Today was the first maintenance visit, and the HVAC guy disassembled our furnace and outside AC unit, pointed out potential problems, and advised me on whether there were major issues or whether we could wait on replacement. He also replaced the filter on the furnace, going to the trouble of finding us a less expensive version of the usual model. He spent well over 2 hours working on and cleaning our units. The company seems very committed to good service. They call to confirm the appointment, show up when they say they will, and cover their shoes with these funny little slipper-things before they come in the house. The office also calls with a follow up survey and asks whether the technician arrived on time, covered his feet, etc. They only fault I could find was that I was expecting a plumbing evaluation today, not an HVAC. I don't know where that miscommunication happened, but it wasn't a big deal to me. I figured that Summers was a national company with franchises, because they're pretty slick with branding. As it turns out, they are local to central Indiana but have several branch offices.
