Comforting to know we have had NARDCO repair our 20 year-old furnace going into another old Indiana winter! July, 30, 2018: After 35 years of good service, our a/c 'bit the dust' a day before we left for vacation. I called NARDCO and a tech was promptly sent out and confirmed a Freon leak bled all the coolant. The owner, Mr. Milligan, cut short a day with his family to home out and quote a new unit. We were leaving for vacation the next morning and he arranged to have a crew with a complete new unit (all components since the old unit would have thrown good money after bad) at the house at 8 a.m. the day after our return. 3 professional, courteous and technically sharp techs had our entire unit replaced in 3 hours. The price was surprisingly low compared to what we expected to pay and our satisfaction, once again, is 100%. NARDO has a customer for life!

Griffin Hall from Good Guys HVAC, during a previous repair, noticed a dangerous issue with the main…read moregas line to my furnace. He observed there was a lot of offset tension on the gas line connection to the furnace due its improper installation when the furnace was originally installed. He used a flexible gas line connector to alleviate the issue (see photo) and was very meticulous to ensure the new pipe had no leaks. Furthermore, he applied additional stabilizers to ensure the pipe was properly secured. I certainly appreciate his attention to detail and his outstanding professionalism to make my furnace safer and more efficient. Griffin Halls demonstrated superior skills and willingness to go the extra distance to help his customers brings great credit upon himself and the Good Guys HVAC company. We had a well-known company come in to check out one of our a/c units. My father who was 92 at the time and knew a lot about these things, suggested it might be the capacitor. The guy said "no, you need a whole new unit" and priced it at $2700 and said it would last a few years. I deferred him and called a friend whose brother was a commercial heating and a/c man who found it was the capacitor and replaced it for $131.00. That was a blessing but he doesn't do residential so we were in a quandary. I turned in the other company to Angie's List and told all my clients what they'd done. Then we met Rich Simpson and have never looked back. He could easily have told us some story when our compressor went out but he just found the problem and sorted it in no time at low expense. He also helped a client whose husband was dying of cancer and was told by someone she called in she needed a new water heater and her system totally needed updating and it was going to be a few Thousand!!!!!! She was in a panic and not used to dealing with these things. I told her to call Rich and she didn't need to change anything; it just needed a small repair. If you want to be handled with integrity, call Rich. All the others that I know of, supplement their paychecks by selling you components or VERY expensive equipment you may or may not need and many of us wouldn't be the wiser.
