I visited Dr. Marney Goldstein a month ago and I was super impressed by the awesome treatment I received from her and all the staff. Everybody was welcoming & friendly, starting with the receptionist, who never lost her smile nor her composure despite having to deal with several patients and the phone at the same time. Dr. Goldstein was also welcoming, she was patient and friendly, yet very professional. She took all the time I needed to explain my condition, which made me feel she really cared. I felt appreciated, which is so important to a patient when you're sick and looking for answers. I left the office feeling better emotionally speaking, hopeful and specially grateful. My experience with Dr. Railey in this location was profoundly disappointing and left me feeling dismissed and worse off. I sought care for severe, debilitating symptoms that--intense stomach pain, pressure at roof of stomach when eating, intense nausea, altered bowel habits, and rapid weight loss which led me to the ER, he asked to see the bloodwork from the ER and I showed him bloodwork from my Doctor, and when he couldn't find anything obvious, he said it was just IBS. I kept bringing up my symptoms, in hope he would change his mind by me mentioning my stool has been abnormal for months, he claimed it was normal, the fact that I was in so much pain I went to the ER was somehow "normal" to him. And then I had to bring up the fact that I lost 30 pounds in 2 months, which was when he changed his mind and decided to have me tested. He would have thought that my symptoms were just IBS if it weren't for my weight loss. (From his own words.. yes.. he literally told me this) This casual dismissal of serious symptoms was unacceptable and set a poor tone for my care. When I asked about potential cures, the response was flippant--a vague comment about it "depending on the condition there may or may not be a cure" said in a very facetious way smiling in a very lighthearted demeanor, as if he was about to laugh and as if my fear of a chronic illness was a joke. The fact he replied this way to me voicing a serious concern was offensive, and appalling coming from a supposed medical professional. Testing revealed a positive C. difficile result but negative for toxins, yet I was prescribed vancomycin based solely on a brief phone call about diarrhea, with no follow-up questions about frequency or specifics. My symptoms--pressure at roof of stomach, no fever,--didn't even align with C. difficile, which ended up being a misdiagnosis. This very strong antibiotic risked me actually getting C. Difficile when I didn't have it. Only after this did the doctor order an endoscopy, which showed mild gastritis, I asked him why I felt this pressure feeling at the top of my stomach when I ate, and he said he didn't know. He didn't seem to understand that my upper and lower GI symptoms were all connected and were not separate issues. Likely why he did the endoscopy on me. Worse, I was told I didn't need a specific diet. When I followed his advice and ate more freely, I suffered a severe reaction, proving the guidance was misguided. A subsequent GI panel test was negative, and the only advice was to "eat what I'm comfortable with"--a vague, unhelpful response that left my symptoms unresolved. I don't know how he thought my symptoms were "normal" and just "IBS" if I was perfectly fine before with no stomach issues, and they were so bad and painful I went to the ER because of them. It caused me to undereat because of gas pressure which makes no sense to be "IBS" because IBS only refers to lower gut issues when I had upper GI issues like heavy nausea, and really fowl fruity smelling burps. Even my doctor, was taken aback by how he just said it was all normal. My hemathologist, and Nurse practitioner at my doctor's office were far more concerned and wondering what my issues were and how I was normal before and now not then Dr. Railey himself was. And if my symptoms were from C. Difficile, with how bad my symptoms were in December, I would have had a fever and a high white blood cell count that the ER personal would have surely seen. When I told a doctor at an Urgent Care about how he gave me Vancomycin. She looked very confused, and looked sideways kinda baffled and warned me that I needed to really investigate my issue with my GI. She very much suspected I was misdiagnosed and she turned out to be right. In actuality I had SIBO. I strongly urge anyone with complex or chronic GI issues to look elsewhere for a provider who will take your symptoms seriously, investigate thoroughly, and avoid rushed or questionable treatment decisions. This experience was one of the most frustrating medical encounters I've ever had, and I regret the time and health I lost. After my experience with him, I had to go to a 2nd Gastroenterologist out of network because Gastrohealth doesn't allow "patient sharing." and she was baffled by how Dr. Railey prescribed me Vancomycin. I went to a third one too but none of them were able to figure out what my issue was that led me to losing 100 pounds in total. But Dr. Railey was by far the worst one I went because of his non-serious attitude, misdiagnosing me and recklessly giving me an insanely strong antibiotic for an infection I didn't have. My Nurse Practitioner ended up testing my testosterone, which was at 36 and said it was the reason for my stomach issues. After getting on TRT, my symptoms have finally been improving, I don't have diarrhea anymore, and and the upper pressure feeling has been going away proving that I was misdiagnosed. read more

While the physician is experienced they think that they are superior to their clients. It's understandable that appointment times are not set in stone, but the patient's time is also valuable. No patient comes here to be seen for free, to be scheduled and 1 hour later no DR, no explanation why I'm just sitting in a room waiting. The only info I have is I'm sitting here waiting on this physician. I have no idea if he is here, if he's on his way in traffic, if it's just his nature to be tardy (because this is not the 1st time). The employees seem to be well mannered when you're with them but other than that you feel like you're at the hospital where no one keeps you updated. This is not service I would recommend. I do not know how physicians in particular thinks that their patients have no choice but to just sit and wait, while they move at there own pace. read more

The digestive care team down to Coral Springs is absolutely the best I've never seen all these doctors they work together simultaneously for one patient I've never seen this like this before they're amazing hats off to them I don't think you'll ever I've ever seen this anywhere else but there I mean they have a digestive digestive care and then if you have acid reflux I highly recommend Dr. Mark Shachner this is his one thing his is a general surgeon but he has beenTrained as a surgeon in acid reflux he did the surgery on me and it worked well anybody out there that has asked for a flex I highly recommend contact him as far as digestive care all these men out there I've worked many years and less and they know what they're talking about don't hesitate to call thank you Denise read more
