Terrible! No only they reschedule my appointment several times but the day of my endoscopy, I call just to verify the address and they say that my appointment was at 10.30 when they had called me last week to move it again to 12 noon. So now, I was not going to make it and missed the appointment. I took the day off for this procedure and they wanted me to reschedule for another day, like I am a toy. Nobody knew who called me and the lady who answered the phone in the Hialeah office was rude and dismissive. They lost a patient and by reading the previous reviews, they need to step up their game big time. read more

Beware. This place is horrible. The wait time is hours and hours long despite you having a pre-scheduled date and time. That means nothing. I was scheduled for 9 am and it was still 11 am and had not been called. I then heard that once they call you in, there is an additional wait of 2 hours. The place was jam packed of people. It seems their MO is to overbook in order to just charge people for these procedures without any consideration for people's times. Everyone at that waiting room was extremely upset and frustrated by the lack of respect for people's times, especially when they have been fasting for hours. Because of the long wait, after having fasted and gone through the uncomfortable prepping process, and after waiting for 2.5 hours, I walked out after hearing that it would be another 2 hours for the procedure to be done. Really outrageous. Also had two liver scans performed by this practice and have been waiting a while for my results. Terrible medical practice. read more

Do not come here. My mom had an appointment at 1 pm and we're still here at 5 pm waiting. Others have been there since 9 am, 9 AM and didn't get seen til the middle of the day. The lack of courtesy honestly baffles me. A simple call telling us to come later would've sufficed. Admin office is awful. I tried to learn about a procedure to then decide if I need to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone was rude. She couldn't even tell me about how far in advance I need to schedule an appointment because there are nine doctors and she didn't want to check all nine. read more

This place is so informal and unprofessional. I got an appointment, I arrived half hour earlier and almost three hours later I was still waiting to be seen just because the "Dr is too busy". medical staff and people go to lunch while we still have to wait for their free paid time while we don't get paid to be sitting at their many places they move you around. read more

I made an appointment and received options to fill out my information on line, I appreciate this process to help ensure a seamless and timely experience. I was asked to upload my credit card, which I skipped. I am concerned with data breaches at is is very common place. I got to the appointment and offered my credit card in person, the receptionist declined and said it was only possible via my upload on line. I told her that did not feel safe, I preferred to give it to her personally and sign what ever document she needed. She could not take me with this process. While I enjoy technology, I don't want to be forced to do something that I am not comfortable with. If I know this company had top notch encryption or security standards that might be a different story. If they have a data breach I'm stuck with all the mess that entails while they give me an apology for the inconvenience. Not very customer centric. read more

Worst place I have ever been to. During COVID this place has a waiting room packed. Overbook appointments, don't take your information, be prepared to wait hours standing up due to the full waiting room. It's just incredible that a medical facility would do this during these challenging times. read more

Dr.DeJesus and staff are friendly. It's a welcoming environment. There's an average 20-30 min wait depending on the appt. I had a unique scenario and the doctor was reassuring. I had an issue during the healing process and was hoping I could get in sooner and was told I'd have to call everyday. that was a little disappointing. read more

I had to get a colonoscopy and this place was recommended by my primary care physician. I had read some negative reviews, so of course I was apprehensive. This place surpassed all my expectations. The staff was so kind, friendly, and compassionate. My exam was done as scheduled, and Dr. Padilla was excellent. I will definitely recommend and would give it 10 stars!!! read more

This office is one of the worst I've been to. The receptionist in 103 is inattentive and takes more than an hour lunch. I've gone to this office twice and both times she has taken more than an hour lunch. When she arrived, I then had to wait another 30 minutes until she was settled in. read more

I went to see this Doctor a month ago. He told me I needed antibiotics, pain medication and to visit LabCorp, that was it. I payed and picked up the medications at the pharmacy. When I arrived home I opened the bag and notice a PREP STOOL KIT along with my meds. I called the office to question this prescription as the DR. had not mentioned any such thing, they assured me it was written in error. I went back to the pharmacy, they refused the return because of COVID. I then contacted the doctor's office again, I was transferred multiple times, put on hold, hung up on. After explaining my story to anyone that would listen, I was finally able to get the name of the office manager. I was told repeatedly that she was not available, so I left her a voice mail. She never responded. Yesterday after calling, holding, being transferred I finally was able to speak to Alcira the office manager. She looked in my file and first told me there were two prescriptions, and LabCorp. ONLY after my insistence did she admit yes there was a colonoscopy Prep Kit prescribed in error. Finally, I then ask for a refund. She states she cannot grant one. That even though she is the office manager all refunds go through the Doctor. I told her I thought it was ridiculous but relented. What happened next really upset me. The Doctor himself called me to ask what was the problem. He then proceeds to ADMIT that it was written in error, but that I should not be giving his staff such a hard time. I let him know that it is the other way around, that his staff was very unprofessional the way they dealt with HIS ERROR, that all I was looking for was a refund for money I should not have paid. He then spins it and says I should have checked the content of the bag the pharmacists gave me before leaving the pharmacy. After some back and forth he affirmed that I would receive a refund, that he had nothing to do with refunds. He also stated Alcira would call me with instructions on said refund. She never called. Anyway-- avoid this place. Also, the parking lot adjacent to the building with the doctors office inside forces you to PAY in CASH for parking for a doctors visit. CASH ONLY. I see Dr. Martínez every 3 years for colonoscopy. Nothing negative to say about him, but the administration of the place is TERRIBLE! I never experienced such unrespectful treatment to patient in any doctor's office that I have visited. Here I am, 11:47 am and waiting for my 10:45am appointment but I am hopeless since other patients arrived before 9am and are still waiting. I would love to keep my medical records in the same place, with the same doctor, but this is too much... I am done!!! read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE! As the phone automatic message stated, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gonzalez through the scheduling system online. I got reminders confirming my appointment. When I got to the office and checked in, the front desk staff confirmed I was there to see Dr. Gonzalez and I paid. I was taken into the office and got my vitals taken by a nurse with a striped jacket. She told me Dr. Gonzalez was currently with a patient and would see me soon. After waiting in the waiting room, another nurse came to get me. As soon as I got to the room, she informed me that Dr. Gonzalez was not in the office and I had to see her or reschedule. Not only did I not pay to see a nurse practitioner, but I did not consent to services with a nurse practitioner. After I called to obtain a refund, they ensured me the billing department would call back. One week later and I have not received a call and my voicemails have been ignored. This's the worst clinical institution I have ever been to, they just want to bill you and that's it, they don't care about you. I was play by them because I was told that my insurance covered all the procedures and that it was just the normal copayments the ones that I have to paid , which I did. Then I start to get bills for $1980 from then, I immediately call the doctors office to see what's going on and everyone there were lost they didn't have a single answer for anything, then finally one lady said that it was a mistake and that I can just disregard de bill, now the same office is referring me to the collection. My husband was scheduled today for a Colonoscopy the PA Naylet Iglesias advised him that he did not need a Colonoscopy at this time since he is asymptomatic, she did not examine him or order any labs, etc. but did charge him $200 just to be told to go home and come back when he had symptoms. They refused to refund the money. I will be contacting Molina Insurance as well as the Florida Insurance Commissioner. read more

I made an appointment for a video call with a doctor last Friday. I was told that Dr. Michael Valladares will call on Monday at 3:00 pm using a no call id. Of course going to the office is not an option during this times, so I thought that is was great that I don't have to wait until things get better to be able to see a doctor. After 20 minutes waiting for a call, I decided to get in contact with the office, I was told, half in Spanish half in English that the doctor can be busy, and that the time that I choose to get the phone call, wasn't really set on stone, that it will happen that day, but don't know at what time. I found that very unprofessional, this is not an office appointment, he is not busy with another patient. She wasn't being very helpful. After 5 minutes I got a call from another lady, saying if that was a good time to get a video call, I said yes, I've been waiting for over 20'mins already. She called back using her cellphone and started asking questions. When I wasn't getting anywhere with her, I asked for a doctor, and she said that the appointment was with a practitioner, that wasn't true, if I want to speak with a nurse I will call the free line that my insurance offers. She was rude, unprofessional, didn't leasing, she was making fun of me with another person at the office. A terrible experience, if you are looking for a profesional caring place, this is not what you need. read more

I had the worst experience at Digestive Medicine Associates. The receptionist in the first waiting room, was extremely rude!. She said that the Doctor had an emergency and I had to see a Nurse Practioner, who had two people ahead of me, because they were running behind. "Your wait time is about an hour or more"she continued. Then I said, I made an appointment with an MD, not a Nurse Practioner and asked her, why did I not get a phone call, letting me know that the Doctor was not going to come in? She answered "Because I have been very busy and we have a lot of patients" To which I replied. Do you realize that I drove 15 miles to get here and now another 15 miles to get back, for no reason? And she said "Look, it is what it is. You can always come back another day" What an unprofessional first impression and poor service quality, for a prospective patient to have! I told her I was leaving and was never coming back. Then I started getting calls, asking me if I wanted to reschedule. I responded that I had been crystal-clear clear with them, on my first visit, in that I was not going to have a colonoscopy, with a gastroenterology practice so disorganized and careless with new patients. I said please, stop leaving me messages and remove me from your database. But they didn't stop. I have reported Digestive Medicine Associates and have blocked them on my mobile. Can somebody explain to this medical team, in business since 1995, that this is pure harassment? read more

On my visit today as usual every one was cordial and attentive, I'm comfortable talking to my doctor of my Symptoms and getting the right solutions. Dr. Joel Kertznut is my gastroenterologist and has been for over 5 years. The office has been prepared to take care of you and themselves from the virus. Love it read more

He made me feel like I could trust him. I'm very satisfied with this digestive center and I had a great doctor as well. Complete waste of time. *They stopped accepting my insurance and did not notify me. *Parking is $2 but all the spaces are full due to reserved doctor spots. *The office is poorly run and will try to charge you full price without contacting your insurance. The doctor only sees you for about 5 minutes and tries to rush you off, always refers you to WebMD. *I was amazed by the total lack of medical education they applied in any consultation. read more
