Worst experience. Initial staff at check were rude. The pre-op area felt like cattle being herded, the staff back there was loud talking about lunch (while most ready for a procedure had just gotten through prep and fasting for extended time. There was no patient privacy, I heard everything for both neighbors. The anesthesiologist was the worst I've ever encountered. Bedisde & professionalism. If this was my first colonoscopy, I would never return for another anywhere. Having had several, I know better care exists. To top it off, I paid a huge fee up front and received a huge bill after the fact, neither have I ever encountered previously on the same insurance. read more

My wife and I have been going the see doctors at Digestive Disease Specialist for many years. I am very upset at the way we are treated after all the years we have been there. My wife was going to see a physicians assistant at Saint Anthony's gastrointestinal department for her constipation problem and she has never seen a doctor there. so she wanted to find a doctor that would see her. I Was searching for a gastrointestinal doctor for my wife who is very sick with constipation problems. I found Dr Pramoda Koduru at digestive disease specialist in Midwest City which is a lot closer to our house. Had to get a release from her prior digestive disease specialist which he released, and Dr Koduru accepted her. Had an appointment all set up and all the paperwork filled out and appointment for November 5. And 4 days before the appointment the office called and canceled her appointment. And I don't understand and this, and this is what they said. Because she had seen a digestive disease specialist before at Saint Anthony's G.I. department she would no longer except her as a patient. I do not understand why a patient can't see a doctor of their choice. Seems to me the doctors pick their patients that they want to see. Doctors now have no compassion for patients or patients. When a person is sick, they should be able to see the doctor of their choice not the doctor choosing the patient. And as far as seeing a specialist at the Saint Anthony G.I. department, we have never seen a doctor only a physicians assistant. So do your research real well on doctors before you choose one. read more

I read the reviews before scheduling my first visit...and I wish I had listened. It seems as though all this establishment really cares about is extracting more money or scheduling unnecessary procedures. The team I've experienced has been nothing but unprofessional and apathetic. Find someplace else! :) read more

They appear to be ok doctors, but their business team is beyond unpleasant and unprofessional. They offer extremely inaccurate "estimates" and when questioned not only argue with you about your experience but also hang up on you when you press them. Unless you have 3-4 times the money they quote you, proceed with extreme caution. read more

Avoid this business at all costs. This is just a factory that sells procedures and unnecessary lab services that are mostly not covered by insurance. They have no desire to help. Their goal is a high volume of patients and the dragging out of services and procedures to efficiently and effectively pull in as much insurance billing as possible. I never had a Dr consult in person, just 1 minute of telling the Dr my issue right before a procedure. I never spoke to or saw the Dr again. Even after repeated calls and requests. I did see a PA and a "nurse" who were both too busy and important to help. On my one office visit (which was nearly impossible to schedule) the first thing the PA says to me as she enters the room is to tell me to get off of the exam table and sit in a chair.... because she didn't want to look up at me .... Ridiculous and rude behavior is not something I tolerate. read more

What a horribly unprofessional environment. The initial waiting room was crowded with seven patients in spite of Covid restrictions. The prep area was so loud with other patients laughing and talkingI thought I was at a frat party. The actual procedure was the most pleasant part of the experience. read more

The schedulers have no direct line, you have to go through an answering service. They have to call you. Takes a days, they must be busy filing their nails or something. God forbid you miss the phone call, because CONGRATULATIONS you will have to wait another week for them to be bothered to call you back! 0/10 caring for patients, super rude and inconsiderate staff. The call center told me that the docs have been told this for over a year by hundreds of patients, but they do not care enough to change it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTIONS! read more

Had my first appointment there in February. Had to see the PA because the doctor that did my first colonoscopy was booked up and it would be several months to see him. My advice is wait to see the doctor no matter how long the wait. The PA immediately wanted me to have another colonoscopy when I was having no issues currently only went to see them so that I would have a doctor to go to in case I had another diverticulitis flair up. I had a colonoscopy in 2020 and was told I wouldn't have to have another one for 10 years. If I am not having issues currently then no, I am not doing another colonoscopy right now. The PA also wanted me to talk with a colon surgeon and think about having part of my colon removed, not doing that either. So she wanted to do a CT Scan to see what my system looked like normally so did that and of course showed everything that I said it would, diverticula present with no diverticulitis. But the scan did show a probable peritoneal inclusion cyst which the doctors office called and wanted to send it to an obgyn to look at so I have two obgyn's I have used and the nurse sent to one and that Dr said since she is a specialty obgyn it needs to be sent to a regular obgyn so I have since then requested it to be sent to the other doctor and now I am being ignored and got blocked from their messaging system I'm guessing because the nurse will not respond and it does no good in calling to talk to the staff either. My suggestion is if you can't get into see the actual doctor of the place then go somewhere else because the staff are rude and unprofessional. I paid $600 for a CT Scan that I can't even get sent to the other doctor to look at and what if it is cancer and not just a cyst, going to this place without seeing an actual doctor there can kill you obviously because they do not care about anyone's health. read more

Dr. Sumit Ahluwalia is absolutely fantastic. He listens, is very caring, and wants what is best for you as a patient. The one downfall is that it can often take quite some time to hear back on the phone. I simply ask for my Doctor's primary Nurse now, and leave a message specifically for her. I get a very quick response that way. read more

Like others, lousy experience trying to schedule an appointment. My GP sent the referral, they called once and did not even leave a message. I then spent two weeks leaving messages, but they don't call back. I finally got a live person and she told me there would be no office visit or consult, just a procedure and results would be sent back to the GP. Terrible customer service! read more

When I first went to the office upon referral from my PCP, I was told that I would have to pay $300 out of pocket for an exploratory colonoscopy. Something about that sounded strange since I have very good insurance, so I spoke directly to my insurance company and they said I had absolutely no "out of pocket" expense. I spoke again to the office, they agreed they had "made a mistake", so I was scheduled and went in for the colonoscopy. The day of the procedure, they again tried to collect $300, and I explained we had already been through this and I was not responsible for the $300. They again said they had "made a mistake" and I had my procedure. If things with the office weren't bad enough, I woke up in the middle of the procedure screaming in pain, and they had to put me out where it took a very long time to wake up in recovery. After all of that, about a week later, I was called by the office saying again that I owed $300 and if I didn't pay, they would ruin my credit. I should have fought it, but felt like I had no recourse, so I paid. Afterward online, I read many reviews where people had the same exact experience with the office trying to get money they didn't deserve. There are much better Doctors to go to that don't do this kind of thing. I am surprised they are still in business. Avoid these people like the plague. read more

My experience with this clinic has been ridiculous, unprofessional, and awful. My GP doctor refereed me to this clinic over two weeks ago and asked for the first doctor available (with the exception to one physician due to a conflict of interest) to perform a procedure as it is very time conscience. I followed up with the clinic to make sure they had received the referral. They confirmed they had and told me it would be 48hrs before it would process. After 3 days I followed up with a call. They were very rude and asked me why I was calling to follow up on a referral. The staff member said she would leave a message for the scheduler and they would get back to me later that day. Two days later I had no call so I called back and left another message. Two weeks had gone by and they called me back to tell me that they had scheduled an appointment with the one doctor I had a conflict of interest. I asked if they had not noted it in my paperwork and she said she would have to call me back. No answer just would call me back. I called my GP to see if they could help me and they called this location and the Edmond location. They told my GP they would call me back first thing the next day. I received a call from the clinic and they asked me if I would prefer a PA. I asked if the PA was able to perform the procedure. The scheduler asked me what procedure? I asked if it was in the note from the GP. She would not answer but told me she would call me back. I have not received a call back to date. I have left two messages with Danielle who I am told is the office manager. She has not returned my call. Almost three weeks of calling and I still can't even get someone to call me back to schedule an appointment. read more

After two ER visits I was admitted to the hospital for a "stomach full of ulcers". I have an appointment next week but I've left SEVERAL messages advising them that my symptoms are nearly as bad as pre-hospitalization, asking for something to provide relief and prevent my ulcers from worsening. Not pain meds, for God's sake. NOBODY returned ANY of my phone calls, as I was promised, including the on call gastroenterologist. I'm going to end up back in the ER thanks to their negligence. I guess I'll see someone from my hospital bed like last time. Their lack of professionalism does not bode well. They're ignoring and summarily dismissing me. Because I'm a woman? An old woman? Diseased, I have MS? This old, diseased female (ATTORNEY) does not allow anyone to be so disrespectful to me. Nobody should. I'm very disappointed by the specialists I've seen in OKC.
