The front desk staff is always welcoming, helpful and personable. I genuinely love talking to the ladies. We always have uplifting conversation and they are amazing women. When we get to the back the ladies that provide the blankets with heat and the electric pads on your back (not sure what they're called lol) are all so sweet. Every single one of them are such enjoyable people to be around. Dr. Matt is no different. They're a very busy establishment but I've never felt rushed or skipped. They understand when we have to reschedule and always fit us in. I've been to a few chiropractors and this is hands down them best one. The facility is well kept and always clean. They are overbooked and mentally overworked... each patient is given a 10-minute slot in which you get less than 5 minutes. Allison Hebert missed a deadly genetic disorder that my daughter has. She didn't hear my concerns... in her medical chart she says that she checked her reflexes (NEVER CHECKED THEM) and they were normal.. yet five days later another pediatrician could not find any reflexes on my baby. I had to request specific referrals - one was never received. I requested lab work - denied. Said the specialist (who couldn't see us for another 4 months) would order labs if necessary. If you bring your baby here, MAKE SURE they are checking infant reflexes and deep tendon reflexes at every "wellness visit." I say again "Please do not bring your infant/baby/toddler here." If you have been by Taste of Tokyo, this is next door. Nondescript from the parking lot, it is surprisingly large when you step inside. First impression - clean and a lot of equipment. After a stop at the Ochsner Sport Medicine Institute to confirm I was, in fact, a broken down athlete wannabe, I was referred to River Region PT. My stated goal is to run a 4.3 / 40 but I'm willing to settle for just the 40 part. After an initial evaluation with Jeanne, a rehabilitation regime was developed and then it is a matter of putting in the time and effort. The staff is professional, but friendly and very organized. There can be as many as maybe a dozen patients at any given time, but you rarely spend more than a couple of seconds waiting for one of the therapist to direct you to the next exercise or treatment. They rarely use the cattle prod and it is generally only on the lowest setting. Only 4 stars for now. A 5th star when I can resume leaping tall buildings in a single bound.
