Scopolamine only for speciffic limited incident where she has expressly discussed it with the administering anesthesiologist for planed surgery, is the only circumstances when she would allow scopolamine. (Not a patch for 72 hours without her knowledge) The scopolamine coincided with hospital staff suspiciously prempting discussions of my mothers mental decline as if i whould now recognize it,,,wow these people are scum. And the doctor that readily did call to discuss my mom was the Hospice Dr they added to her case. My family would NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HOSPICE AT ALL, i told them this when she was in ICU and at previous hospital visit, I diplomatically told! Hat doctor the same. I said to him, its peculiar nobody has assesed and discussed my mothers condition at all or called me with any asessment diagnosis,,yet every day they gave her zero physical therapy, Administred one unauthorized videofluroscopy to watch her swallow which was equal to 155 chest xrays, as well as other xrays and scan events. All against her will even after ICU and life threatening excuse could posibly overide personal rights and freedom. Its her body, no means no (this is america) If i suspected medical assault and abuse and just wanted to prevent it,, id say my suspicion was not unfounded after reviewing only briefly the facts in her so called treatment. Scheduled for a simple hand procedure with a 10:00 AM original appointment. The night before, I get…read morea call saying there's a "medical emergency," so they push me to 12:00. Fine. I fast, show up on time for the new appointment, and do everything right. Then another delay. Then another. By the time I'm seen, it's around 1 PM... and then more waiting. It felt less like a surgery schedule and more like a flight with Spirit Airlines, and I hadn't eaten anything since 6 PM the night before. MISTAKE. So now it's mid-afternoon, and I'm starving, I'm about to eat the fake plant in the corner of the room. I'm alone in a room long enough that I fall asleep. At one point, I thought to myself, " Did I miss my own surgery? Then Nurse Ratched enters like she's in a Mission Impossible movie, and I'm the mission. She storms in, throws down what looks like my IV supplies without ever introducing herself, rushes out, then comes back in and says, "It's your lucky day..." because she's going to use a smaller needle. I didn't know they came in sizes. Use the smaller needle on me, thank you? I'd hate to see the size of the other one. After multiple failed attempts (painful ones), she still couldn't get it to the point. I started questioning if she was actually a nurse. It honestly felt like I was watching someone train for the IV Olympics. Zero care, zero acknowledgment. (See photo of the bruise if you need proof what's the saying, a picture shows where not to put the needle... something like that, right?) Then the anesthesiologist walked in, said hello, and actually, introduced himself, so, for a moment before he entered, I was convinced I might be on a prank show called "How many times can I stab a patient with a needle before he complains?" Turns out, the answer at this surgical center is five. Same arm, same vein, different skill set, I suppose. He then gets the IV in within seconds. Effortless, he was as cool as the other side of the pillow. Finally, go into surgery around 5 PM. Yes... 5 PM for a 12 PM appointment. I woke up, and the place was basically empty, like I was in a scene from The Walking Dead, except instead of zombies, there were two nurses ready to get me out of the surgical center as fast as possible. You can feel they're ready to go home. I'm handed a juice, which I have to say was delicious, put in a wheelchair (for a hand procedure), and quickly sent on my way. I half expected them to push me toward my wife's car like someone shoving a shopping cart across a parking lot and just letting it roll. I've had multiple procedures (humble brag), and this was easily the most disorganized and uncomfortable experience. Best part? The high monthly bill. Nothing like a subscription service you never signed up for. Would not recommend unless your fetish is getting pricked by the larger needles. Then again, maybe they were just having a bad day.

I was charged $5,462.89 for 5 minutes of nurse time, 5 minutes of doctor time and less than $20 of materials. No specialized equipment was involved. I was treated on two separate dates for the same wound. It was a small crack on my big toe surrounded by a callous. The wound was approximately 3/16 inch long, less than 1/8 inch deep and less than 1/16 inch wide. It was just a small crack in my skin, but I was having difficulty getting it to heal. On both visits, the routine was the same. I removed my shoe and sock and sat in an examination chair. The nurse removed the 1-inch band-aid from my toe and applied a common over-the-counter disinfectant. Dr. Bui arrived and examined my toe. He then took a disposable scalpel and spent about one minute trimming my callous. Then he applied a small amount of wound dressing (about 1/4 x 1/8 inch) and covered it with a common 1-inch band-aid. The doctor and the nurse both spent about 5 minutes with me. The wound dressing is about $17 at Amazon for 4.3 square inches - enough to treat my toe more than one hundred times. I have no complaint about Dr. Bui's treatment. It didn't solve the problem, but I don't know what else he could have done. I do have a huge complaint about the cost. I was charged $5,462.89 per visit. A total of $10,925.96 for the 2 visits. They used less than $20 of materials at each visit. 5 minutes of nurse time and 5 minutes of doctor time at each visit. My podiatrist bills $201 for the exact same treatment. I spent many hours on the phone and writing letters trying to get these charges corrected. I was able to get a charge for $1,294 (described as "dressing wound, 19.1 square inches" - I have no idea where that came from) removed. If you call Los Robles to dispute a charge, plan on spending at least an hour on the phone only to get a promise that "someone will take a look at that". DO NOT go to the Center For Advanced Wound Healing unless you are near death and have no alternative.

The pharmacy tends to have a long line, so I often get my meds mailed to me. However, when I came here today to get blood work done, there was no line for the pharmacy. As for appointments, I usually have to wait long to be seen for primary care appointments. I had my physical here last month. I waited less than 15 minutes in the waiting room after I checked in. However, I waited over 30 minutes in the examination room to be seen by the PCP. However, I don't have to wait long for optometry appointments. It is a shame though that this location does not offer primary care appointments after 5 pm. Thankfully, the pharmacy and laboratory are open until 7 pm on weekdays. Note that this location is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Parking can be hard to find. Expect crowds in the mornings when people tend to come here to complete lab work. Customer service is mediocre. The staff member who assisted me today was very cordial though. The location is kept well maintained and clean, and there is plenty of seating available throughout the building. I have yet to visit the urgent care here, so I can't comment on it. If you have the app for Kaiser Permanente, you can use it to request medication refills, view test results, schedule appointments, and message your providers.

When I called Dr. Oganesian's office I spoke with Christina and she was able to get me into see Dr O's office within a timely manner. Dr. O was very quick to evaluate the urgency of the situation and the level of weakness that I was experiencing in my right leg and foot. Dr. O and his staff have been extremely accommodating and sensitive to my needs and concerns. Dr. O explained this advanced procedure that would have a much faster recovery and healing time compared to my previous back surgery that took me over 4 months to recover. Dr. O perform an endoscopic surgery - discectomy on my lower spine. I was able to go home that same day, where the last surgery in northern CA I was in hospital for 3 days and had a lot of discomfort from the surgery site. This time, it felt nothing like that experience. Friends and family saw me up and moving around within days. Obviously it is still a surgery and I did have to recover and have physical therapy, but this experience with Dr O and his staff really impressed me. They assisted me and my wife especially when I was struggling in pain. I'm in a much better situation now after being treated by Dr O. Having back surgery is a serious matter and I'm not one to jump into surgery unless I feel comfortable with the surgeon and their evaluation, skill and perspective of need for surgery. Thank you Dr O and staff for the high level of care you provided along with support you gave my wife and family pre and post surgery. I am feeling so much relief from pain in my back and leg as I was not able to function at all pre surgery, so it has been a dramatic improvement on how I'm feeling.
